Description

The invention relates to an outer wall box for the combustion air and exhaust gas duct of a device working with a burner system according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

In an outer wall box of this type (AT-PS 205 199), the combustion air and the exhaust gas duct are arranged one above the other and are separated in a box room by an intermediate wall. In order to prevent the exhaust gas from entering the combustion air duct, the box space is covered by a louvre grille with louvres rising from the upper exhaust outlet opening. If such a louvre grille does not offer sufficient protection against gusts of wind, the slats sloping inwards favor the entry of rain, condensate or washing water, which then collects in the box space, enters the mostly sloping flow channels and the mode of operation of the Brenners sensitive disturbs. From DE-AS-20 44 756 a wall box has already become known in which the outlets into the flow channels are arranged above the corresponding inlet and outlet openings of the box room. This should better absorb wind pressure surges and prevent them from striking the burner. On the other hand, this construction also prevents rain or wash water from entering the pipe system. This known solution, however, requires a relatively large and deep wall box, which usually cannot be accommodated in the walls of caravans and it does not prevent water from accumulating in the wall box itself, which means how around which the air currents sweeping over such water surfaces are adversely affected.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a simple outer wall box which prevents water from penetrating into the flow lines leading to the burner system and also from water accumulation.

This object is achieved on an outer wall box according to the preamble of claim 1 according to the invention by the features of the characterizing part of this claim.

The inventive design of an outer wall box prevents the water penetrating through a cover or a wall box grille from getting deeper into the flow lines and also ensuring that it flows out again. Even if the outer wall box is very heavily sprayed, as is often the case with boats and car washes, water penetration into the pipe and burner system is switched off, thus significantly increasing the operational safety of a closed burner system.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are set out in further subclaims.

  • Fig. 3 eine Ansicht des Außenwandkastens gemäß Fig. 2.
The invention is described in more detail below with the aid of exemplary embodiments of an outer wall box for gas firing, which are also shown schematically in the drawing. They represent:
  • 1 shows a longitudinal section through an outer wall box with spaced connecting pieces,
  • Fig. 2 shows a longitudinal section through another outside wall box with interlocking connecting pieces and
  • 3 shows a view of the outer wall box according to FIG. 2.

In the outer wall box shown in Fig. 1, an upper exhaust duct 1 and a lower combustion air duct 2, which lead to firing (not shown) of a combustion system and which are arranged one above the other at g e, by means of the connecting pieces 5 and 6 gas-tight on one Wall box 10 connected. This wall box 10 is covered by a grid-shaped box cover 20 and is delimited by a rear wall 7 and the transverse and longitudinal walls 11 and 12, respectively. The wall box thus forms a fitting suitable for production and installation, the depth of which is expediently adapted to the depth of the outer wall 13 of the space to be heated. In this outer wall box, an outlet pipe 15 protrudes somewhat coaxially with the exhaust gas connecting piece 5 into the wall box. At its free end, it forms an outlet opening 8 for the exhaust gas. The combustion air duct 2 ends with the connecting piece 6 in the bottom wall 7 and is thus open to the entire box space 18 and to an air inlet opening 9. The box cover 20 has a deflector frame 21 and a cover plate 22 which is offset from it only in the region of the exhaust gas outlet opening 8 and which extends over the entire outlet opening, so that it is protected against directly occurring gusts of wind. On the other hand, this cover plate does not extend to the side walls of the deflector frame 21, so that the exhaust gases can escape freely through these side openings 23. Through these openings and in particular in the area of the combustion air duct 2, which has no cover whatsoever, the ingress of water, such as, in particular, rain or wash water, is to be expected. Injected water not only remains in the box room 18 or in the outlet connection 15, but there is also the risk that water will reach the connection nozzle 5 and 6 is injected. To prevent this, the connecting pieces 5 and 6 are designed to rise upwards from the wall box 10, as a result of which the exhaust gas and combustion air ducts 1 and 2 also initially rise upwards. Furthermore, according to an advantageous embodiment, the lower box wall 14, the expanded outlet connection 15, at least on its base surface 16 and an additional partition wall 25, should also rise inwards so that no water remains in this area, but rather flows out immediately.

Eingespritztes Wasser wird daher stets wieder nach außen abfließen.2 and 3, a further simple outer wall box is shown, which has a mounting plate 30 with a circular opening 31 and forms a cylindrical box chamber 32. An intermediate wall 33 divides this chamber and the opening 31, so that an upper exhaust gas compartment 34 with an outlet opening 35 and a lower combustion air compartment 36 with an air inlet opening 37 are formed. The exhaust gas compartment is closed off by a rear wall 39 into which a connecting piece 40 for the exhaust gas duct 41 opens. The air compartment 36 is open at the back, so that the peripheral wall at the same time the connecting piece 44 g 43 of the box chamber for the burning of forms sluftkanal 45th As can be seen in FIG. 2, the box chamber, the connecting pieces and thus the flow channels rise from the mounting plate 30 to the rear. Injected water will therefore always flow out again.

A cover or protective grille, which is usually placed on the outside of the mounting plate, is not shown for the sake of clarity.

As Fig. 2 shows, the intermediate wall 33 protrudes a few millimeters beyond the outer plane of the mounting plate to receive a shielding plate 46g against a passage of the exhaust gas in the burning of sluftöffnung to 37 form.

Below the air inlet opening 37, an outwardly projecting wind deflector 48 is provided on the mounting plate 30, which extends over the entire width of the opening and has a favorable influence on the wind conditions. Above all, it causes a smoothness and calming of the current rising from below, which has strong eddies due to the nearby impellers or unevenness of the wall that is usually on the outside wall of the vehicle.

The solution according to the invention can also be implemented in the same way on any other wall box or also on individual wall connections. If, in the exemplary embodiments, the full connecting pieces are always provided in an increasing manner, this does not rule out that even their bottom surfaces form an increase.
