Description

The invention relates to a magazine for plate-shaped objects, which is oriented essentially horizontally, and in which the plate-shaped objects are arranged side by side to form a stack, preferably with a slight inclination to the rear, with devices associated with the magazine for advancing the stack to its removal point , which is associated with a plate-shaped object individually removing removal device, and with a hold-down device arranged above the stack in the region of the removal point, which acts on the objects from above, which is suspended in an oscillating manner about a horizontal axis oriented transversely to the longitudinal extent of the magazine, and the one at Has front stop of the stack to be created.

Magazines with devices for removing plate-shaped objects from a stack of such objects accommodated in a magazine are known, for example, from AT-B-241 565, 329 124 and 352 198. In these known magazines, the plate-shaped objects are accommodated one above the other. The superimposed arrangement of the plate-shaped objects in the stack has the result that considerable friction forces occur, particularly in the case of larger stacks, when removing the bottom plate-shaped object in each case, which hinder the separation of the plate-shaped objects. This is particularly the case when the plate-shaped objects accommodated in the magazine are plates or separators for accumulators. In AT-B-352198 it has therefore already been proposed to provide a clamping device which can be actuated independently of the removal devices at a distance above the removal point in order to absorb the weight of the stack during the removal process.

Furthermore, loading the known vertical stacks is not always easy, since the plate-shaped objects have to be inserted into the top of the magazines, which usually has to be done by hand.

A magazine for plate-shaped objects, which is aligned substantially horizontally and in which the plate-shaped objects are arranged side by side to form a stack, preferably with a slight inclination to the rear, with devices associated with the magazine for advancing the stack to its removal point, which is a plate-shaped One-by-one removal device is assigned, and a hold-down device arranged above the stack in the region of the removal point and engaging the objects from above is known, for example, from GB-B-1 581 764. The hold-down device known from GB-B-1 581 764 can be moved up and down in a movement plane which is invariable with respect to the magazine, so that the end of the stack of plate-shaped objects facing the removal point must be precisely defined so that the known hold-down device also performs the function assigned to it can meet. In order to precisely define the position of the plate-shaped object ready for removal in relation to the hold-down device in the known magazine, retractable retaining plates are provided in the magazine known from GB-B-1 581 764 at the end of the same on the removal side. Experience has shown that such retention plates hinder the removal process. In the known magazine, a precisely coordinated interplay of the movements of the removal gripper of the retaining plates and the holding-down device is required. In addition, a blade-like detachment device for the foremost object is provided on the hold-down device of GB-B-1 581 764. With this blade-like detaching device, the foremost object is separated from the top of the stack when the holding-down device is lowered, so that it rests on the retaining fingers connected to the holding-down device until it is sucked in by the removal device. Both the release device and the retaining fingers are rigidly attached to the hold-down device of GB-B-1 581 764.

A magazine of the type mentioned is known from US-A-2 119 585. The hold-down device provided there comprises a hold-down plate fixed to the frame and a hook-like stop encompassing the front end of the stack. This stop is movably mounted on a boom supported by a horizontal shaft and is pressed down by a spring. Both the hook-like stop and the hold-down plate protrude beyond the removal end of the stack, so that both also act on the object to be removed from above.

From US-A-3 612 251 a magazine is known in which plate-shaped objects inclined forward are accommodated. In the area of the upper edge of the front end of the stack, alternately effective retention fingers are provided. These retaining fingers alternately release plate-shaped objects, which then fall onto a conveyor. Neither a removal device nor a hold-down device is provided in the magazine.

The invention has for its object to provide a magazine of the type mentioned, in which the hold-down device automatically aligns itself with the removal end of the stack of plate-shaped objects accommodated in the magazine.

According to the invention, this is achieved by that the distance between the stop and the hold-down device is dimensioned such that the hold-down device is assigned at least to the upper edge of the second plate-shaped object seen from the removal point, so that the removal gripper only removes the foremost plate-shaped object from the stack and that the hold-down device follows Removal of a plate-shaped object can be raised and lowered again before the next plate-shaped object is removed.

This design of the hold-down device adapts itself automatically and without any control to the removal end of the stack of plate-shaped objects. The distance provided between the stop and the hold-down device of the hold-down device also reliably ensures in the invention without any special control that the hold-down device is arranged exactly above the upper edge of the second plate-shaped object, as seen from the removal-side end of the stack. In contrast to the hold-down devices known from GB-B-1 581 764 and US-A-2 119 585, which each engage a plurality of plate-shaped objects arranged at the removal end of the magazine, this reliably ensures that only one plate-shaped object is removed at a time becomes. This is particularly important in the production of plate stacks in the course of the production of batteries.

The preferred area of application of the magazine according to the invention is therefore also its use in devices for producing plate stacks from positive and negative battery plates and the separators to be arranged between them. Several magazines can be arranged next to one another in such a device, the magazines containing, for example, positive and negative battery plates on the one hand.

In a particularly simple embodiment of the invention it is provided that the stop is designed as a leaf spring. Since the stop has no other task than aligning the hold-down device above the second plate-shaped object, the leaf spring can be made soft so that it does not hinder the removal process without impairing its function.

However, it is also possible within the scope of the invention that the stop is designed as a stop which can be pulled upwards by means of a pressure medium cylinder. This embodiment is preferably used for removal grippers which remove the foremost plate-shaped object at least at the beginning of the removal process with a movement path oriented parallel to the longitudinal extent of the magazine.

Since the hold-down device is temporarily lifted up from the stack of plates, the hold-down device, controlled by the stop of the hold-down device, orients itself again after the removal process without additional activities above the second plate-shaped object.

In a practical embodiment of the invention it can be provided that the hold-down device, the stop and their actuating devices are mounted on a pivotable plate. It is preferably provided that in the upper end region of the pivotable plate a cantilever which is loaded by a weight is fastened and which projects away from the side of the plate opposite the stack. This embodiment has the advantage that the hold-down device swings back into its functional position quickly after the removal process has taken place and when the hold-down device is retracted upwards. In addition, there is the possibility in this embodiment of the contact pressure of the stop against the front, ie. H. end of the stack on the removal side, by selecting the size, the weight or by moving the same relative to the delivery arm to the most favorable value.

The reliable function of the magazine according to the invention is supported by an embodiment of the invention, according to which the device for advancing the stack in the magazine is assigned to the two vertical edges of the plate-shaped objects forming the stack, endless conveyor chains or conveyor belts with resilient drivers which are attached to the vertical side surfaces of the stack concern, has. In this embodiment, it is reliably ensured that the stack or the foremost plate-shaped object of the stack is pushed into the removal position without problems. Characterized in that the drivers of the conveyor chains or conveyor belts are resilient, the magazine can be loaded with plate-shaped objects by simply inserting stacks of plate-shaped objects from the end of the magazine opposite the removal point.

So that the stack-forming, plate-shaped objects cannot tip forward at the removal point of the magazine, it can be provided in the context of the invention that two superimposed conveyor belts or chains are provided on each side of the magazine and that the drivers of the respective upper conveyor belt or -Chain are arranged offset to the rear relative to the lower conveyor belt or chain as seen in the conveying direction. This arrangement of the driver flaps ensures that the plate-shaped objects in the magazine, as seen from the bottom up, are inclined obliquely backwards, which facilitates the removal process.

In order to be able to adapt the magazine to different plate sizes, it can be provided that the lateral spacing of the conveyor chains or conveyor belts can be changed, and that the lateral edges of those forming the stack plate-shaped objects associated with the upper guide rails of the magazine are adjustable in the height direction. It has proven itself in the context of the invention if the guide rails arranged on both sides of the magazine and the conveyor chains or conveyor belts are arranged on slides which can be displaced transversely to the longitudinal extent of the magazine. So that the guide rails and the devices for advancing the stack of plates are always correctly aligned, even when the dimensions of the magazine are changed relative to the removal gripper, it can be provided that the slides are slidably guided on rails oriented transversely to the longitudinal extent of the magazine and via handlebars with one in the middle of the magazine arranged, for example pneumatically operated actuator are coupled.

The insertion of the plate-shaped objects into the magazine is particularly simple if the insertion end of the magazine is assigned a slide-in carriage for a package of plate-shaped objects, the surface of which faces the package is inclined to the rear.

So that the removal process is not hindered by the conveyor device, it can be provided according to the invention that the conveyor chains or conveyor belts are deflected out of engagement with the plate-shaped objects in front of the removal point of the magazine.

Various possibilities are conceivable for the pivotable mounting of the removal gripper. A particularly suitable in the context of the invention is characterized in that the removal device is pivotally mounted on the frame of the magazine over pairs of links. In such a suspension of the removal device, it is useful if the handlebars engaging at the lower end of the removal device in the removal position are mounted higher up on the frame than the handlebars articulated at the other end of the removal device. As a result, the removal device is tilted without additional control means from its removal position which points essentially to the side into the delivery position which points downward and is assigned to the conveying device.

Various drives can be provided to actuate the removal device. For example, a pressure medium cylinder, a crank drive or an eccentric drive can be provided for pivoting the removal device from the removal position into the delivery position and back.

It is advantageously provided in the context of the invention that the removal gripper of the removal device has a pressure-tight housing on which at least one vacuum suction plate is arranged communicating with the interior of the housing and that in the interior of the housing of the removal gripper a vacuum line with the interposition of one in the removal position of the The removal gripper opens into the shut-off element which is closed in the delivery position. In this embodiment, the vacuum suction plate of the extraction gripper is subjected to vacuum in the removal position without additional control means, whereas it is separated from the vacuum line in the storage position. In a practical embodiment of the invention it can also be provided that a pipe piece leading into the interior of the pressure-tight housing of the removal gripper is connected to the vacuum line, which is surrounded within the housing of the removal gripper by a guide tube arranged in the housing of the removal gripper, and that aligned openings are provided both in the tube piece and in the guide tube with each other when the removal gripper is in its removal position.

Further details of the invention result from the following description of exemplary embodiments of the invention, in which reference is made to the drawing. It shows
  • FIG. 1 is a side view of a magazine for plate-shaped objects,
  • FIG. 2 the magazine in top view,
  • FIG. 3 shows a modified embodiment of a magazine,

  • Figure 5 shows the removal gripper from Figure 3 in the delivery position.

In a frame 1 of a device, which is, for example, part of a machine for forming stacks from battery plates, a magazine is provided in which a stack 6 of plate-shaped objects placed side by side is received. The magazine is formed laterally by upper guide rails 7 and lower guide rails 19. Both the lateral spacing of the guide rails 7 and 19 lying opposite one another in pairs and the height spacing of the upper guide rails 7 from the lower guide rails 19 of the magazine can be changed to adapt to different sizes of plate-shaped objects.

The magazine is also assigned a device for advancing the plate stack 6 into the removal point 33, which comprises two pairs of chains 18 on each side of the magazine. On the chains 18 resilient drivers 9 are provided which engage the plate stack 6.

For loading the magazine with a plate pack 10, a plate insertion carriage 11 is provided, which runs on fixed guide rails 21. Due to the rearward inclined orientation of the slide-in carriage 11, the plates are pushed back into the magazine with a slight inclination.

The guide rails 7 and 19 provided on both sides of the magazine and those from FIGS Chains 18 with the drivers 9 and sprocket 22 existing device for advancing the plate stack 6 are each mounted on slides 23 which are slidably mounted transversely to the longitudinal extent of the magazine on guide rails, not shown. The slides are coupled via handlebars to a pneumatically or hydraulically actuated actuator 25, for example, so that the slides and thus the guides and the devices for conveying the plate stack 6 can be moved apart or towards one another with respect to the longitudinal central axis of the magazine. Instead of the actuator 25, a spindle drive can also be provided.

The sprockets 22 of the upper chains 8 and the lower chains 18 are arranged on shafts 17 and 20, respectively, the shaft 17 being assigned a chain drive wheel.

At the removal point 33 of the magazine, a removal gripper 5 is provided, which is pivotably mounted on the machine link 1 via pairs of links 2 and 4 which intersect. A pressure medium cylinder 12 is provided for actuating the removal gripper 5. Instead of the removal gripper 5 shown in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, another removal device can also be provided.

From Figure 1 it can be seen that the pair of links 2, which is articulated at the end located in the removal position of the removal gripper 5, is mounted higher up on the machine frame 1 than the pair of links 4, which acts on the upper end of the removal gripper 5 in the removal position. This arrangement of the handlebar pairs 2 and 4 results in a tilting-pivoting movement of the removal gripper 5 without additional control when the pressure medium cylinder 12 is actuated, as is indicated in FIG. 1.

In addition to other possible gripper designs, preference is given in the context of the invention to a removal gripper 5 which is equipped with at least one vacuum suction plate 16. It goes without saying that a plurality of vacuum suction plates 16 can also be provided on each removal gripper 5.

In order to be able to apply a vacuum to the vacuum suction plate 16 of the removal gripper 5, at least one of the links of the pair of links 2 is designed as a vacuum line and is connected via a line 3 to a vacuum source.

Figur 4 und 5).As soon as the removal gripper 5 has moved into the delivery position shown in broken lines in FIG. 1, the vacuum suction plate 16 is no longer subjected to negative pressure. As a result, the plate-shaped object 14 picked up by the removal gripper 5 can be placed on a conveyor device 13 (machine conveyor belt). This is readily possible if the plate-shaped object is porous and / or has a rough surface, which ensures that the vacuum is released in the delivery position. If plate-shaped objects are to be separated, the structure of which does not allow the vacuum in the vacuum suction plate 16 to be released automatically, then the vacuum in the vacuum suction plate 16 is released. The suction plate 16 can be acted upon by vacuum and the same can be lifted by valves (not shown) assigned to the line 3, which are controlled as a function of the movements of the removal gripper 5. This can also be controlled by the movements of the removal gripper 5 relative to its actuating linkage (pairs of links 2 and 4) (cf. FIGS. 4 and 5).

As soon as one or more plate-shaped objects have been removed from the stack 6 in the magazine, the device for advancing the stack 6 (conveyor chains 8 and 18 with the drivers 9) is actuated so that the next plate-shaped object enters the removal point 33 is advanced.

Due to the design of the hold-down device 30 or 31 according to the invention, however, it is not necessary to precisely match the extent of the advance of the stack 6 to the removal of plates. It is therefore also possible to continuously advance the stack 6.

In particular if a plurality of magazines arranged next to one another are provided, 5 eccentric or crank drives 32 (cf. FIG. 3) can be provided for actuating the removal grippers. These drives are preferably driven together.

The removal gripper 5 has a pressure-tight housing 5 ', with the interior of which the vacuum suction plate 16 communicates. At the end of the link 2 assigned to the removal gripper 5, a pipe section 2 'is connected, which leads into the interior of the housing 5' of the removal gripper 5. A guide tube 26 is provided in the housing 5 'of the removal gripper 5, in which the tube section 2' is rotatably received.

Figur 4 zeigt, daß im Rohrstück 2' eine Öffnung 27 vorgesehen ist, die in der in Figur 3 dargestellten Entnahmestellung mit einer Öffnung 28 im Führungsrohr 26 fluchtet.FIG. 4 shows that an opening 27 is provided in the pipe section 2 ′, which in the removal position shown in FIG. 3 is aligned with an opening 28 in the guide tube 26.

In this way, the vacuum suction plate 16 is subjected to negative pressure via the interior of the housing 5 ', the openings 28 and 27, the pipe section 2', the link 2 designed as a vacuum line and the line 3.

As soon as the removal gripper 5 has moved into the delivery position shown in FIG. 1 (dashed line) and FIG. 5, the openings 27 and 28 no longer align with one another, so that the vacuum suction plate 16 is no longer subjected to negative pressure. As a result, the plate-shaped object 14 picked up by the removal gripper 5 can be placed on a conveyor device 13.

A hold-down device 30 is suspended above the plate stack 6 in the region of the removal point 33 of the magazine on the frame 1 about a horizontal axis 34 oriented transversely to the longitudinal extent of the magazine. The hold-down device 30 comprises an elongated plate 35, from the upper end of which a cantilever 37, which is loaded by a weight 36 and which is rigidly connected to the plate 35, projects away. As FIG. 1 shows, the extension 37 protrudes from the plate 35 on the side opposite the plate stack 6 or the magazine. The weight 36 can be exchangeably and / or displaceably arranged on the boom 37.

At the lower end of the plate 35, a stop 38 is provided which bears against the front end of the plate stack 6 under the influence of the weight of the holding-down device 30.

On the elongated plate 35 of the hold-down device 30, a hold-down device 39 is slidably arranged in a guide 40, which can be lowered onto the plate stack 6 by means of a pressure medium cylinder 41 and can be lifted off the latter.

As FIG. 1 shows, the distance between the stop 38 and the hold-down device 39 is dimensioned such that the hold-down device 39 is assigned to the upper edge of the second plate-shaped object in the plate stack 6, as seen from the removal point 33. In this way, as seen from the removal point 33, the second plate of the plate stack 6 can be held down by the hold-down device 39 by correspondingly acting on the pressure medium cylinder 41, so that the removal gripper 5 only removes the foremost plate from the plate stack 6.

After a plate has been removed, the hold-down device 39 is briefly raised by actuating the pressure medium cylinder 41 so that the stop 38 can rest against the front end of the plate stack 6 located in the removal point 33, the hold-down device 30 pivoting about the axis 34. It can be seen that it does not matter whether the plate stack 6 has been pushed in the meantime or not.

As can be seen from FIG. 3, instead of the stop 38, which is designed, for example, as a leaf spring, on the elongated plate 35 of the holding-down device 31, a stop 43 that can be pushed back and forth by a further pressure medium cylinder 42 is provided, which is guided in a guide 44 on the elongated plate 35 is. This type of stop permits problem-free removal of the foremost plate-shaped object from the plate stack 6, even if the removal gripper removes the foremost plate-shaped object essentially at least at the beginning of the removal process in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the magazine.

After the removal of the foremost plate-shaped object, the stop 43 is advanced again and the hold-down device 39 is raised so that the hold-down device 31 can pivot again into the position shown in FIG. 3.

According to an embodiment not shown, a single motor, for example a pressure medium motor, can be provided for actuating the hold-down device 39 and the movable stop 43, which motor raises the stop 43 via a corresponding pivot lever mechanism when the hold-down device 39 is pushed forward and vice versa.
