Abstract

1. A method for reducing the pressure in blast furnace charge hoppers to nearly atmospheric pressure with residual pressure relief by way of silencers into the atmosphere and simultaneous top gas recovery, characterised in that the quantity of relieved gas is intermediately stored in a float tank (7) and is cleaned of dust therein.
