Definitions
- the invention relates to a profile seal according to the preamble of the claim.
- Such a profile seal is already known from the applicant's DE-OS 31 21 230. It has been shown that window glazing with such a glazing profile also remains tight at the corners. During assembly, this glazing profile can be pressed in with its anchoring part into the anchoring groove, starting with the anchoring part, starting at the center of the upper horizontal frame leg, whereby the other end of the glazing profile can be cut off relatively easily at the right length at the joint. So you only have one push instead of four, and this push is not in the critical corner area, but in the straight area, along the upper frame leg, where there is little or no rainwater. With this known profile seal, wrinkles can occur at the corners under unfavorable conditions, in particular with a high sealing pressure, etc.
- the invention has for its object to improve the known sealing profile in such a way that a larger width of the seal and a higher sealing pressure is possible without the risk of wrinkles, especially at the corners.
- the solution to this problem is specified in the characterizing part of the patent claim.
- a connecting web is provided between the "anvil” web and the sealing part.
- This connecting bridge acts similarly to a knee joint or like an articulated spacer.
- This connecting web prevents the sealing part from being moved further or too far inward during the assembly process.
- the sealing part is held against the pane under greater pressure, that is to say greater sealing pressure, but the required mobility and flexibility remain.
- Appropriate embodiments of the invention are specified in subclaims 2 to 4.
- the profile seal has an approximately strip-shaped base part 1, which rests with its underside - all around - on a frame web 3 of the casement 4 that overlaps the window glass 2 on the weather side W.
- an approximately T-shaped, barb-like anchoring part 5 protruding downward is formed, which engages in a correspondingly designed anchoring groove 6 of the frame web 3.
- the cross-sections of the anchoring part 5 and anchoring groove 6 are designed in a known manner so that the anchoring part by relatively light pressure from above, be pressed into the anchoring groove or can einrillen.
- a protruding bead or web 7 is formed, the upper corners 8, 9 and lower grooves 10, 11 of which are rounded.
- a sealing part 12 works together, which extends from the edge 13 facing the free atmosphere, the base part 1 in an arcuate or curved manner upwards and over the web 7.
- the integrally formed sealing part 12 has two legs 15, 16 which preferably merge into one another via a rounding or curvature 14, one leg 15 adjoining the edge 13 of the base part 1 lying at a lateral distance from the bead or web 7 and the other leg 16 extends over the bead or web 7, as shown in FIG. 1 in the relaxed state.
- the other leg 16 is at a distance 17 from the web 7, or in other words: the height of the leg 15 on the weather side, including the curvature 14 larger than the hone of web 7.
- the window pane or double pane is placed from the inside I or room side against the frame webs 3 projecting from the casement 4 on all sides.
- the sealing part 12, in particular its inner leg 16 first comes to rest against the edge of the window pane and is then pressed by it against the anvil-like web 7, whereby the seal is reached on the outside or weather side.
- the seal on the outside / weather side is the better or more reliable, the wider the sealing surface, that is, the surface on which the sealing part 12 or its inner leg 16 rests against the edge of the pane.
- the critical corner areas are particularly important, especially at the two lower corners. '
- the seal becomes less mobile or flexible, so that small folds can form, particularly at the corners, so that moisture can penetrate despite the larger width.
- a connecting web 26 or 26a is provided between the anvil web 7 and the sealing part 12 to improve the seal - otherwise the sealing profile and its effect are the same as in the prior art.
- the connecting web 26 In the relaxed state (FIG. 1), the connecting web 26 extends obliquely upward, that is to say approximately diagonally to the cross section of the anvil web 7, towards the sealing part 12.
- the center line 27 of the connecting web 26 corresponds approximately to the extension of the diagonals of the anvil web 7.
- the connecting web 26 tapers upwards. Its tapered upper end merges with the sealing part 12 before the apex of the arch 14.
- the connecting web 26 (seen in the drawing) is pivoted clockwise around the corner point 9 of the anvil web 7, so far essentially in line with the top of the anvil web 7.
- the connecting web 26 seeks to maintain its length, ie it presses or spreads the sealing part 12, in particular the sealing leg, outwards, so that a relatively wide sealing surface results.
- the pressure or sealing pressure on the outer zone of the sealing strip is increased.
- the connecting web 26a is attached to the other, that is to say to the corner 8 of the anvil web 7 remote from the curvature 14; the center line 27 of the connecting web 26a thus passes through the other corner point 8 of the web 9 facing away from the curvature 14.
- the structure and mode of operation are the same as in the embodiment according to FIG. 1, 2.
- this connecting web 26a around the edge or pivoted around the corner point 8 so that it is pressed essentially flat onto the top of the anvil web 7.
- the seal is even more flexible or articulated, especially in the corners (Fig. 3). Fluctuations in the thickness of the glass pane (or double glazing) can also be better compensated for.
- the volume of the inner channel or tubular interior 25 is larger.
- the sealing process - when widening the sealing surface while increasing the sealing pressure due to the invention - is namely supported by the compression of the air in the tubular interior 25. Thanks to the connecting web 26, no air can escape from this tubular interior when the window glass is inserted.
- This inner channel 25 is expediently closed at the two ends of the glazing profile cut to length by a plug. Due to the increased pressure and the wider contact surface of the seal on the window glass 2, the advantage is achieved that the recessed groove with a triangular cross section in the area of the curvature 14 between the glass 2 and the sealing part 12 is reduced, so that less water settles and freezes here can.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a profile seal according to the preamble of the claim.
Such a profile seal is already known from the applicant's DE-OS 31 21 230.
The invention has for its object to improve the known sealing profile in such a way that a larger width of the seal and a higher sealing pressure is possible without the risk of wrinkles, especially at the corners. The solution to this problem is specified in the characterizing part of the patent claim. According to the invention, therefore, a connecting web is provided between the "anvil" web and the sealing part. This connecting bridge acts similarly to a knee joint or like an articulated spacer. This connecting web prevents the sealing part from being moved further or too far inward during the assembly process. Furthermore, by means of this connecting web, the sealing part is held against the pane under greater pressure, that is to say greater sealing pressure, but the required mobility and flexibility remain. Appropriate embodiments of the invention are specified in
- Fig. 1 zeigt eine erfindungsgemässe Profildichtung im Querschnitt, in entspannter Lage;
- Fig. 2 zeigt ebenfalls im Querschnitt gemäss Linie II-II in Fig. 3 die gleiche Profildichtung im Einsatz in einem Fensterflügel;
- Fig. 1 shows a profile seal according to the invention in cross section, in a relaxed position;
- Fig. 2 also shows in cross section along line II-II in Fig. 3 the same profile seal in use in a window sash;
- 3 shows - to clarify the spatial position of the main place of use of the glazing profile according to the invention on the weather side - schematically shows a window from the outside, with the section line II-II drawn in for FIG. 2.
- F ig. 4 and 5 show another embodiment (according to claim 4), also once relaxed, the other in the installed position.
The profile seal has an approximately strip-
In the relaxed state, before the
During assembly, the window pane or double pane is placed from the inside I or room side against the
On the inside, i.e. On the room side, along each of the four frame legs there is a glass retaining bridge against the inside edge of the window glass.
The seal on the outside / weather side is the better or more reliable, the wider the sealing surface, that is, the surface on which the sealing
According to the present invention, however, a connecting
In the relaxed state (FIG. 1), the connecting
When the window pane is placed against the sealing
On closer inspection, the flexible connecting web is slightly deformed into an S-shape (Fig. 2). In connection with the approach of the connecting
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the connecting
The sealing process - when widening the sealing surface while increasing the sealing pressure due to the invention - is namely supported by the compression of the air in the
