Abstract

1. Method for drying running fabric webs in dryers operated with fresh air, circulating air and exhaust air, characterized by the fact that supply of fresh air in the same or essentially the same direction as the fabric web through the treatment is effected at the beginning of the treatment, and discharge of exhaust air is only at the rear part of the process, with air being blown onto the fabric web and being guided away from the fabric web repeatedly.

Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for heat treatment, in particular drying of running material webs in dryers operated by means of fresh air, circulating air and exhaust air.

In all known dryers of this type, exhaust air is extracted in all fields of the dryer and fresh air is supplied. This removes exhaust air with a high moisture load in the front part of the dryer and with a low moisture load in the rear part of the dryer. This means that too much exhaust air has to be extracted without sufficient moisture loading and thus unnecessarily stresses the energy budget, which increases the specific heat requirement.

This knowledge led to the drying air being led through the treatment in countercurrent, which also led to the desired success in terms of energy balance.

Diese überlegungen würden dazu führen, Trockner mit zwei völlig getrennten Behandlungsbereichen,Studies have now shown that in areas of high moisture content, ie at the beginning of drying, the use of pure air leads to the best drying results with regard to the drying speed. In Endtrocknungen with ge - wrestle moisture contents but the hot steam drying air drying is superior to that in the overall drying process it is to get to high drying speeds to work makes sense initially at high moisture contents with air and in the final drying with steam. These considerations would result in dryers with two completely separate treatment areas,

However, this is complex and expensive, since it leads to complicated systems.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a dryer of a simple design in which the advantages of air drying are combined with those of superheated steam drying in a single housing with the exclusive supply of drying air.

The solution to the problem is based on the consideration that the drying air is increasingly enriched with steam from the vaporized liquid in the course of drying, so that it increasingly approaches the drying behavior of superheated steam.

To achieve the object, it is therefore proposed according to the invention to guide the fresh air supplied to the dryer in the same or essentially the same direction as the material web through the treatment room and to remove the exhaust air from the treatment room only in the rear part of the dryer. The fresh air can be fed into the treatment room of the dryer through the inlet slot for the web into the dryer housing. However, a special fresh air connection can also be provided for supplying the fresh air at the beginning of the treatment room on the dryer housing.

Between the supply and the discharge of air to or from the treatment room, the air is to be repeatedly blown onto the product web by means of blowing nozzles, nozzle groups or nozzle bodies (circulating air duct). In this case, the air circulation can take place within the treatment room for the web, and special external connecting lines can also be arranged for the air circulation from a discharge to the next return to the web on the dryer housing.

The exhaust air can be removed from the treatment room at the end of the treatment in the last dryer field, but it can also take place before the last dryer field.

It has proven to be advantageous to add exhaust air discharged from the treatment room to the fresh air introduced into the treatment room for direct preheating of the fresh air or to use the air discharged from the treatment room for indirect preheating of freshly supplied air, heat exchangers then being provided for heat transfer.

The exhaust air should be removed from the treatment room with a high moisture content in a controlled manner.

In Fig. 1 the principle of direct current flow of fabric 10 and drying air through the treatment room 11 is shown. This principle is in other heat treatment processes such. B. in wood drying or the like. Known. With this method, however, the intensity of the treatment is low since the air only sweeps over the goods to be treated / similar. Figures 2 and 3 show representations. In Fig. 2, the fresh air is introduced through the inlet slot 14 of the dryer 13 into the treatment room 11 and discharged via the vent 21 at the end of the dryer. 3 is for the supply of fresh air a special fresh air connection 15 with fan 19 and heater 20 is provided.

A complete direct current flow with air circulation, in which fresh air is introduced via a fresh air connection 15 by means of a blower 19 via a heating register 20 into a nozzle housing 12 into a treatment room 11, is shown in FIG. 4. As indicated by arrows, the web 10 shows that treatment agent flowing out of the treatment is fed to a subsequent nozzle housing 12 and inflated there again onto the product web and so on until the end of the treatment, where it is sucked off by means of a blower 21 and discharged from the treatment through the exhaust air connection. To support the flow of the treatment agent and for further heating, as shown in the figure, further blowers 22 and heating registers 20 can be switched into the path of the treatment air.

This illustration shows, for example, a dryer in which the blowers 22 and heating register 20 are arranged alternately on the two sides of the treatment room 11. Here, too, there is a complete direct current flow of the treatment air from the inlet of the material web 10 into the room 11 to its outlet from the room 11.

Circuits 22 with heaters 20 are installed in these lines. The fresh air is introduced into the dryer 13 at the fresh air connection 15 and the exhaust air leaves the dryer through the exhaust air connection 23.

Fig. 7 corresponds essentially to Fig. 4, except that here the exhaust air is removed before the last dryer field 17, whereby in this field, as is desirable and advantageous for the final drying, there is almost a steam atmosphere.

Of course, a large number of variants of the treatment air guide can still be carried out, all of which are within the scope of the invention.

In Fig. 8 ist in Seitenansicht ein Trockner 13 dargestellt, bei dem Abluft der Frischluft zur Vorwärmung der Frischluft direkt über einen Lüfter 25 und eine Heizung 20 zugeführt wird.8 shows a side view of a dryer 13 in which exhaust air of the fresh air for preheating the fresh air is fed directly via a fan 25 and a heater 20.

In this figure, the arrangement of a moisture measuring and regulating device is also indicated at 24. Since there is only one discharge point for the exhaust air, only a single one of these costly devices is required for the method according to the invention.

Due to the inventive arrangement of the guidance of the drying air in cocurrent to the direction of the web The treatment results in the following further advantages over the known arrangements and methods. On the one hand, there is less condensation of moisture on the web if there is as dry air as possible in the front of the dryer when the cold web runs into the warm dryer. On the other hand, the evaporation capacity is higher if the cooling limit temperature in the front area of the dryer is low. Sufficient surface water is still available for evaporation, so that the higher Δ t and thus the higher heat transfer takes effect.
