Definitions
- the invention relates to a slatted frame, in particular for reclining furniture, with rotatably mounted spring slats.
- the slats are mounted on elastic bearings to the frame of the slatted base. So that the elastic bearing elements used for this have at least a certain service life, they must be made of natural rubber. This of course makes the entire slatted frame considerably more expensive. If cheap plastic parts were used, they would wear out very quickly due to the frequent bending stress.
- the German utility model 82 23 249 describes an elastic bearing body for the slats of a slatted frame.
- the invention has for its object to provide a slatted frame with rotatably mounted female connectors, which has a simple and stable storage for the female connectors.
- the distance between the top and the bottom inside is the smallest in the middle of the recess, since the apexes of the arches facing each other are located there. This distance must be so large that a female connector can be inserted and there is a certain scope for the flexibility of the female connector.
- the preferred embodiment has plastic caps attached to the ends of the female connectors, by means of which the female connectors rest in the cutouts in the frame.
- the plastic caps are adapted to the shape of the female connectors.
- the distance between the upper and lower inner surface of the recesses is so large in the preferred embodiment that the plastic caps placed on the female connectors abut the inner surfaces of the recesses at the top and bottom.
- Art fabric caps are inexpensive to manufacture support elements that firmly enclose the female connectors. For this reason, they are not exposed to bending stresses when the inserted slats are loaded, as is the case with conventional elastic support elements. Since the recesses with their upper and lower inner surfaces lie close to the plastic caps, you get a secure fit for the female connectors.
- cutouts 2 are milled into the inner sides of the frame 1, into which spring strips 3 are inserted.
- the frame is preferably made of glued wood and can also be provided with adjustment devices, not shown here.
- the recesses 2 are widened on their narrow sides 4. Its lower boundary surface 5 and the upper boundary surface 6 are curved. The two radii of these curved boundary surfaces 5, 6 are preferably of the same size.
- the female connectors 3 inserted into the recesses 2 can be rotated about their longitudinal axis in accordance with the arrow direction 7 indicated. Depending on the curvature of the boundary surfaces 5, 6, the female connectors 3 can be rotated about their longitudinal axis by a more or less large angle. A particularly good storage is obtained for the female connectors 3 in that plastic caps 8 are attached to their ends, with which the female connectors are inserted into the recesses 2.
- a plastic cap 8 is shown, whose shape is adapted to the female connector to be inserted in each case.
- the dimensions of the plastic cap 8 can be such that it covers the associated female connector at the end about 2 to 3 cm. Their wall thickness can be approximately 1 mm.
- the plastic cap 8 is only open on the side 9 facing the female connector 3 to be inserted. On the open side 9, an edge 10 is formed, which prevents the plastic cap 8 from sliding too far into the respective recess 2.
- Fig. 3 shows an insert II, which has a shape adapted to the shape of the recess.
- This insert 11 represents another embodiment of a support element which is inserted into the respective recesses 2.
- the female connectors 3 to be fastened are then inserted on the open side 9. Since the outer surfaces of the insert 11 lie closely against the inner surfaces of the respective recess 2, no bending stresses occur with this support element, which could have a negative effect on the service life.
- Fig. 4 shows a section of a slatted base according to the invention from above, in which the spring strips 3 have plastic caps 8 attached at their ends.
- Fig. 5 a section along the section plane AB is partially shown.
- the plastic cap 8 encloses the end of the female connector 3 inserted into the recess 2.
- the distance between the boundary surfaces 5 and 6 is selected so that the outer surfaces of the plastic cap 8 abut these boundary surfaces at the top and bottom. Since the cutouts 2 are widened on their narrow sides 4, the inserted female connector 3 can be rotated together with the attached plastic cap 8 in accordance with the arrow direction 7 shown.
- the cross section shown in FIG. 6 shows the frame 1, the recesses of which are inclined.
- the associated left recess, not shown here, into which the female connector 3 engages with its other end, has a corresponding inclination.
- the pushed-on plastic cap 8 has, in particular, the purpose of largely avoiding the noises that occur in the area of the recess 2 when the load changes. A very good noise reduction is obtained by a simple plastic cap 8, as is also shown in FIG. 2.
- the recesses which run obliquely downwards in the interior of the frame 1 result in a prestress for the inserted female connectors and favor the clamping action between the female connector or plastic cap and the curved boundary surfaces 5, 6.
- the female connector 3 and the frame 1 are preferably made of multi-layer glued wood. In the drawing, the individual layers of wood are not hatched separately for simplicity.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a slatted frame, in particular for reclining furniture, with rotatably mounted spring slats.
To the best possible adaptation of the spring strips obtained at different degrees of deflections to \, it is known that the slats are mounted on elastic bearings to the frame of the slatted base. So that the elastic bearing elements used for this have at least a certain service life, they must be made of natural rubber. This of course makes the entire slatted frame considerably more expensive. If cheap plastic parts were used, they would wear out very quickly due to the frequent bending stress. The German utility model 82 23 249 describes an elastic bearing body for the slats of a slatted frame.
The invention has for its object to provide a slatted frame with rotatably mounted female connectors, which has a simple and stable storage for the female connectors.
The solution to this problem is obtained in that elongate recesses are provided in the frame of the slatted base for receiving the female connectors, which are widened on their narrow sides relative to their center and whose lower and upper boundary surfaces are curved. The inserted female connectors are on the lower, curved inside. The flexibility of the female connectors is limited by the curved inside of the recess. The radii of these curved inner sides are preferably of the same size.
The distance between the top and the bottom inside is the smallest in the middle of the recess, since the apexes of the arches facing each other are located there. This distance must be so large that a female connector can be inserted and there is a certain scope for the flexibility of the female connector.
The preferred embodiment has plastic caps attached to the ends of the female connectors, by means of which the female connectors rest in the cutouts in the frame. The plastic caps are adapted to the shape of the female connectors. The distance between the upper and lower inner surface of the recesses is so large in the preferred embodiment that the plastic caps placed on the female connectors abut the inner surfaces of the recesses at the top and bottom. Art fabric caps are inexpensive to manufacture support elements that firmly enclose the female connectors. For this reason, they are not exposed to bending stresses when the inserted slats are loaded, as is the case with conventional elastic support elements. Since the recesses with their upper and lower inner surfaces lie close to the plastic caps, you get a secure fit for the female connectors. When the spring slats are loaded, their ends clamp over, the plastic caps in the recesses so that the frame of the slatted frame is slightly pulled inwards. In this way, slipping of the female connectors out of the recesses is safely avoided.
Advantageous developments of the invention are characterized in the remaining subclaims.

In the section of a slatted frame shown in FIG. 1,
The
In Fig. 2 such a
Fig. 3 shows an insert II, which has a shape adapted to the shape of the recess. Fig. 4 shows a section of a slatted base according to the invention from above, in which the
The cross section shown in FIG. 6 shows the
At the end of the
The pushed-on
