Abstract
Description
The invention betrifft.eine terminal for insulation displacement connection of electrical conductors in distributors of telecommunication installations, particularly telephone exchanges, comprising two ge in the longitudinal direction - severed and at its one end rigidly interconnected spring limbs which a clamping region for the electrical conductor and between the clamping area and the limit the rigid connection of the two spring legs extending elongated hole, the terminal is made in one piece from a metallic band material and the spring legs are separated in the clamping area by scissors.
Such a terminal is e.g. known from DE-AS 12 32 232. Because of its structure, a terminal of this type is easy to manufacture. It is disadvantageous, however, that a connection terminal constructed in this way does not meet the high requirements for contact reliability which are often required in practice.
The object of the present invention is to improve a connection terminal of the type mentioned in the introduction in such a way that, with simple production of the connection terminal, the high requirements for contact reliability are met at the same time.
This object is achieved in that the spring legs are mutually intertwined around a bending edge running perpendicular to the longitudinal direction in the plane of the connecting terminal in such a way that the spring legs are offset from one another by a predetermined amount at the outer end of the clamping region.
By interlocking the two spring legs, the connecting terminal according to the invention also meets high requirements in terms of contact reliability with simple and inexpensive manufacture. When a wire is inserted, the spring legs cut into the wire and are thus fixed in this position. The notches created during the cutting are offset by a small distance due to the entanglement of the two spring legs. If the wire is pushed further down into its final position, the spring legs twist, so that an additional torsional force occurs, which significantly affects the contact properties of the terminal according to the invention improved.
Further advantageous embodiments of the connecting terminal according to the invention result from the subclaims and from the following description of exemplary embodiments.

The single connecting terminal 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is a simple stamped part made of thin strip material with simple outer contours, which are formed by the straight outer edges of the spring legs and the
Fig. 3 shows a double terminal according to the present invention for connecting two insulated electrical conductors. In principle, this double connecting
The operation of the terminal according to the invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 4 to 1Z. 4,6,8 and 10 each show a front view of the connection terminal 1 and in FIGS. 5,7,9 and 11 a top view of the connection terminal 1, or sections through the
Due to the beveling of the
Now the
By introducing the
By spreading the spring legs, the contact surfaces, which are formed by means of a separating cut, can be galvanically provided with contact materials, for example Ag or Sn. The single connection terminals or double connection terminals according to the invention serve - extended at the base - as isolating or switching springs in distributor components.
