Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen Fadensammler der eingangs genannten Gattung zu schaffen, bei welchem dieser Nachteil eines häufigen Reinigens vermieden ist. Zu diesem Zweck ist bei dem Fadensammler der eingangs genannten Gattung erfindungsgemäß die Platte federnd ausgebildet und in den Fadensammler eingeschmolzen, welcher aus einem Material aus thermoplastischen bzw. chemisch-härtbaren Elastomeren mit einer Härte von 60 bis 95° Sh ausgeführt ist, wobei ferner die Zähne unter einem spitzen Winkel in Richtung der Saugöffnung des Saugers geneigt sind. Vorzugsweise sollte dieser spitze Winkel 50 bis 70° betragen. Zweckmäßig weisen die elastischen Zähne die Gestalt von Nadeln mit einem Scheitelwinkel von 10 bis 12° auf. Die äußeren Arbeitsflächen des Fadensammlers besitzen mindestens einige parallele Kämme mit hochelastischen Zähnen, welche unter einem spitzen Winkel in Richtung einer Schutzkante des Fadensammlers geneigt sind, welche an seiner der Saugöffnung zugewandten Seite angeordnet sein kann. Diese Schutzkante sollte die Höhe der Zähne nicht übersteigen. Die erfindungsgemäße Ausbildung des Fadensammlers und dabei insbesondere die Anordnung der Zähne unter einem spitzen Winkel in Richtung der Saugöffnung des Saugers, also in Richtung von dessen Arbeitsbewegung, gewährleistet ein wirksames Aufsammeln von Fäden und Haaren, wenn der Fadensammler in Richtung der Zahnneigung bewegt wird, sowie eine Selbstreinigung bei seiner Rückbewegung.
