La connexion électrique de la source d'alimentation 18 constituée par les trois piles est réalisée par deux contacts électriques 66 et 68 fixés au corps 12 du boîtier 10 dont ils sont solidaires en toutes circonstances. Le contact électrique 66 est constitué par une lame métallique recourbée de façon à posséder une certaine élasticité qui permet d'une part d'assurer un bon contact entre le contact 66 proprement dit et la borne de raccordement de la pile 54 en vis-à-vis et d'autre part entre chacune des piles 54, 56 et 58 et ce en coopération avec le contact 68 qui est d'une structure similaire. Les ressorts 76 et 78 constituent ainsi les moyens de rappel élastiques sollicitant le couvercle vers sa position de repos dans laquelle il prend appui sur la surface de butée constituée dans le corps 12 du boîtier par les fonds de logement 92 et 94 avec lesquels coopèrent les pivots 72 et 74. Grâce à une telle structure, les pivots peuvent se déplacer perpendiculairement à leur axe propre afin de permettre le pivotement du couvercle autour du premier axe d'articulation X-X lorsque l'on désire faire fonctionner le dispositif émetteur c'est-à-dire lorsque l'on vient presser sur le couvercle 14 pour l'utiliser comme bouton poussoir ; cette action sur le couvercle ayant en effet pour conséquence de provoquer son pivotement autour de l'axe X-X, les pivots 72 et 74 agissant à l'encontre de l'effort élastique exercé par les ressorts de rappel 84 et 86 et se déplaçant dans les logements 76 et 78 en direction des fonds 88 et 90 desdits logements. En effet, il suffit à l'utilisateur de dévisser le gond 50 et de l'extraire du boîtier pour pouvoir ensuite faire pivoter le couvercle 14 autour de l'axe Y-Y comme cela est indiqué par la flèche A de la figure 2 jusqu'à ce que ce couvercle vienne occuper la position représentée en traits mixtes à cette même figure qui est la position d'ouverture maximale du couvercle prévue pour le remplacement des piles. Dans cette position ouverte, l'utilisateur n'a plus qu'à extraire les piles de leur logement correspondant et ce en déformant légèrement et de manière élastique les bras 64 tant pour extraire les piles usagées que pour y introduire de nouvelles piles. Une fois le remplacement des piles effectué, l'utilisateur n'a plus qu'à refermer le couvercle 14 en agissant dans la direction indiquée par la flèche B de la figure 2 ; lors de cette manoeuvre, les piles sont progressivement engagées entre les contacts électrique et élastique 66 et 68 qui viennent assurer une parfaite connexion électrique du circuit sans que l'utilisateur n'ait à aucun moment l'occasion de toucher ces contacts au risque notamment de les déformer. Une fois que le couvercle occupe à nouveau sa position normale de repos, l'utilisateur peut réintroduire le gond 50 dans les charnons 44,46 et 48 puis visser à nouveau la tête 52 de la vis de façon à immobiliser le gond 50 par rapport au boîtier 10.
