Bei Vergrösserungen des Achsabstandes wird die Bandspannung erhöht. Der Rahmen 10, mit welchem der Ausleger 15 fest verbunden ist und damit über die Motortragplatte 12 der Motor 11, ist mittels der Spindel 9 heb- und senkbar, wobei durch die gezeigte Anordnung beim Heben und Senken eine Änderung der Bandspannung vermieden wird. Mittels Handrad 38 und Spindel 17 wird das Schleifwerkzeug 19 mit Antriebs- und Anpressrolle 13/14 um die Längsachse 39 der Spindel 9 bzw. Lager 43 verschwenkt. Claims (6)

1. A rail grinding machine mobile on one or both rails of a track with a frame (1) capable of angular adjustment in, and if required, additionally transversely to the longitudinal direction of the rails and which is carried by means of bogie wheels on the rail or rails wherein a grinding unit with a moving abrasive belt (19) driven by a drive roller is arranged so as to be capable of being lifted and lowered, characterized in that the abrasive belt (19) is guided over the drive roller (13) and a single bearing roller (14) arranged below it, the drive roller (13) and the bearing roller (14) being arranged so that they can be tensioned against each other and that together, they are capable of angular adjustment up to an angle of a < 30° with reference to the longitudinal direction of the rails (35).

3. A rail grinding machine according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the bearing roller (14) is a profiled roller whose profile is adapted to the profile of the travel surface of the rail (36) to be ground.
