Description

The present invention relates to a display case consisting of a housing with a plurality of compartments for receiving advertising material, which are closed on one side with a partially transparent mirror, and a periodically switchable lighting body is arranged within the otherwise opaque compartments.

Such a showcase is known from OS-PS 333 627. Here, the heat generated by the lighting fixtures is to be dissipated by a blower, but this requires a relatively high level of maintenance and also a not inconsiderable power consumption. In addition, the lighting fixtures are arranged in such a way that on the one hand glare to the viewer Person takes place and on the other hand there is no optimal illumination of the showcase.

The invention has for its object to avoid the above disadvantages and to improve a display case of the type described in such a way that forced cooling can be omitted due to low heat development by the lighting fixtures and an optimal, glare-free illumination is achieved.

According to the invention this is achieved in that the lighting fixtures consist of at least one discharge lamp, in particular a fluorescent lamp or tube, which is arranged above the mirror on the mirror side per compartment and a diaphragm is provided between the lamp and the mirror. The lamp selection according to the invention is characterized in that only an extremely small amount of heat is given off by the lighting fixtures, so that it is not necessary to flow through the individual compartments by means of a blower with fresh air in such a way that forced cooling and ventilation is achieved. In addition, the power consumption of the luminous bodies according to the invention is extremely low while at the same time achieving optimum illumination. For this purpose, it is particularly important that when the individual compartments are illuminated, the viewing direction approximately coincides with the direction of radiation of the light rays, so that there is no glare to the viewer. The absence of glare is further supported by the fact that, according to the invention, the lighting fixture is concealed in the individual compartment.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are contained in the subclaims.

The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, a display case 1 according to the invention consists of a housing 2 which, in the example shown, see FIG. 4, has eight compartments 3 in which Advertising media can be put on display. The front of the housing 2 is covered with a partially transparent mirror 4. The semitransparent mirror is designed in such a way that there is a mirror surface from the outside, and at the moment when light is generated inside the display case 1, the contents of the compartments 3 can be seen from the outside. For this reason, a lighting fixture 5 is arranged in each of the compartments 3, so that each compartment can be illuminated independently of the other compartment. According to the invention, the lighting fixtures 5 are discharge lamps, preferably fluorescent lamps or fluorescent tubes. This type of lighting fixture is characterized by a very low power consumption, which ensures that only a very small amount of heat is emitted by the lighting fixtures, so that the interior of the compartments heats up only extremely slightly during the burning period, so that no forced cooling, for example, occurs a blower is required. The compartments 3 are otherwise completely sealed against the entry of light, which is also the case with respect to the compartments against each other. Such a seal is necessary in order to achieve the effect sought according to the invention in the best possible way, namely that only in the case of lighting by means of the lighting element 5 can an outside view of the compartments be taken; but otherwise the partially transparent mirror 4 acts as a mirror. Below the partially transparent mirror 4, a housing base 6 is provided in the housing 2, in which the for the lighting fixtures required control unit is housed.

As can be seen in particular from FIG. 1, the lighting fixtures 5 are arranged in the individual compartments 3 such that they are located on the side of the partially transparent mirror 4, in each case above the mirror surface applicable to the compartment. In this case, a screen 7 is arranged between the lighting fixtures and the partially transparent mirror 4, as a result of which the lighting fixture 5 is completely covered, so that glare to the person viewing is avoided. By means of this arrangement according to the invention, the viewing direction of the viewer and the beam direction of the light beams emitted by the lighting fixtures run approximately in the same direction, so that glare is also avoided in this way. Below each lighting fixture 5 there is a light grid 8 in the compartments 3, which separates the upper part of the interior of the compartments 3, in which the lighting fixtures 5 are housed, from the rest of the compartment interior. The light grids, which are designed in a known manner, on the one hand achieve diffuse illumination of the entire interior and on the other hand prevent the lighting fixtures from being reflected on the inner walls of the compartment 3. The individual compartments 3 are separated from one another by shelves 9, these shelves 9 being flush with or attached to the rear wall 11 and the two side walls 12, 13.

As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 3 and 5, the individual compartments 3 are closed on one side by means of a door 14, which can be a revolving door.

The revolving doors are expediently provided with locks so that each compartment can be locked separately.

The space above the light grids 8 of the compartments 3 is lined in such a way that a shielding of the incidence of light is achieved. For this purpose, foam rubber or the like can preferably be used as the material. Furthermore, this is a seal in the A nscniußbereich reaches the partially transmitting mirror.

Fig. 5.To dissipate the heat developing within the individual compartments 3, 8 ventilation slots 15 are provided in the rear wall 11 at the height of the lighting fixtures 5 above the light grids. Furthermore, it is advantageous if 3 cladding elements / are detachably fastened to the inner walls of the compartments. Such a releasable fastening can be carried out by means of Velcro fastenings / which are known per se and which are fastened to the individual compartment sides. This makes it possible to design the subjects in any way, see. Fig. 5.

Furthermore, it can be advantageous according to the invention if, instead of one lighting fixture 5, preferably two lighting fixtures are connected and arranged parallel to one another. This results in an even better illumination of the respective compartment and, in addition, a certain reserve is created in this way, because the compartment is thus also illuminated if one of the two lighting fixtures fails.
* and upholstery

The problem with the use of discharge lamps, in particular fluorescent lamps or fluorescent tubes, is that they do not immediately light up constantly when switched on, but a certain flickering initially occurs. However, this tendency to flicker is not justifiable in connection with a display case according to the invention, since the desired advertising effect is then prevented. For this reason, incandescent lamps have been used in the known display cases. However, these incandescent lamps have the disadvantages described at the outset, which are related in particular to the high heat development. According to the invention, the discharge lamps used, in particular fluorescent lamps or fluorescent tubes, are controlled in such a way that this flickering effect cannot occur.

As is apparent from Fig. 6, one electrode 17 is the fluorescent lamp 5 through a choke coil 1 to 8 phase. The other electrode 1 9 is connected to the neutral conductor via an electronic switch 2 1 . In the electronic switch 2 1 is in particular a so-called triac, which consists of two antiparallel-connected thyristors, which is driven via a control part 22 with a DC voltage of about 3 to 1 8 V. The lighting time and the lighting sequence of the individual compartments 3 can be regulated via this control part 22. The electrodes 17 , 1 9 are each via an electrode heating circuit, see. the lines 26, 27 and 28, 29, respectively, which are electrically independent of the operating circuit of the luminous element 5. A continuous heating current is generated which closes continuously through the electrodes 17 , 19, even if the respective switch 2 1 of the Luminous body is open, ie the luminous body is not lit. This heating current is preferably approximately 2/3 of the operating current of the filament, ie approximately 0.22 to 0.25 A at a heating voltage of approximately 6 V. This constant heating of the electrodes considerably increases the lifespan of the filament and the immediate readiness to light up Switching on of the operating voltage reached. The individual lighting fixtures are expediently switched in such a way that their inputs are connected together at the output of the choke coil 18, so that, according to the invention, a choke coil 18 is provided for all the lighting fixtures 5. An electronic switch 2 1 is connected to the outputs of the individual lighting fixtures, so that one such switch is provided for each lighting fixture. Accordingly, FIG. 6 relates to the circuit diagram of a single fluorescent tube. Between the input or output of the inductor 18 and the input of this individual electronic switch 2 1 , a high-resistance resistor 23 is connected, which preferably has a resistance value of 20 to 25 KJL. This resistance circuit ensures that the fluorescent tube 5 is always subjected to such a voltage that is just below the glow voltage. According to the invention it is thus achieved that the individual lighting fixtures are always in a quasi-operational state, so that when the full ignition voltage occurs, a flickering-free, immediate lighting up takes place without a time delay.

It is also within the scope of the invention if two illuminants per compartment are connected in parallel. In this case, the individual heating circuits for the electrodes of the illuminants connected in parallel are then galvanically isolated from one another.

The present invention is not limited to the described embodiment, but also extends to all configurations having the same effect in the sense of the invention.
