Definitions

  • the invention relates to a screwless connection terminal for electrical conductors with a clamp spring supported on a stationary part of a housing, which is tensioned before the introduction of the conductor to be connected and arrests this after it has been inserted, with a spring approximately on the resilient leg of the clamp spring Attached perpendicular to the conductor to be connected, which can be latched for tensioning the clamping spring, is attached, one leg of which has an insertion opening receiving the conductor to be connected to it, and the latching can be released by the action of the conductor to be connected to the other leg and the conductor to be connected by one leg the stationary part (partition) of the housing can be pressed.
  • a terminal of this type is known from DE-A-3019149.
  • the clamping spring has a bend of approximately 180 and is attached to a contact wall against which the conductor to be connected is pressed by means of the clamping leg.
  • the clamping leg and the locking member are coupled to each other in the starting position, the entire clamping force of the clamping spring must therefore be overcome when connecting a conductor.
  • This connecting terminal is therefore not suitable for connecting a stranded wire or similar conductor, since the sometimes great force for pushing the latching element out of a recess in the clamping leg cannot be transmitted via the conductor. Difficulties also often arise when inserting the locking member into the associated recess of the clamping leg, this known connecting terminal can therefore only be used to a limited extent and is not very practical.
  • a screwless connection and connection terminal for electrical conductors with a clamping spring arranged in a housing is also known.
  • the clamping spring is tensioned by a tensioning element that keeps it taut and can be locked in the open state of the clamp in the form of a slidably mounted wedge or longitudinally displaceable plunger, which can be adjusted from the outside into two defined end positions.
  • the tension of the clamping spring is thus, since it cannot be locked automatically, to be initiated via a special actuating element, and this must also be brought into the other end position after the tensioning process, so that a conductor to be connected can be clamped by means of the clamping spring. Handling this terminal is also cumbersome.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to develop the screwless connection terminal for electrical conductors of the aforementioned type in such a way that a connection can be made in a very short time and without the need for an additional tool, and the connection terminal is also intended to provide a secure locking of the conductor to be connected. It should be excluded that malfunctions occur due to improper handling, rather ensure that the inserted conductor is always reliably locked, the holding force acting on it being adjusted according to the design of the clamping spring. The construction effort to be able to accomplish this should be low, so that the connection terminal can also be manufactured economically.
  • the U-shaped projection which has an outer and an inner leg, can be latched to a stationary part of the housing and that the housing is in the form of a housing divided by an intermediate wall, on which the preferably hairpin or ring-shaped clamping spring is supported, and that the intermediate wall has one or two openings through which the legs of the approach are passed.
  • a latching lug preferably formed by a bend
  • the middle part or to the outer web thereof can be inserted into a recess incorporated into the fixed part or the housing, for example, into its inward-facing surface, or onto it the partition is supported.
  • the contact surface of the recess or the intermediate wall supporting the latching lug should be designed to be inclined or curved in the direction of adjustment of the attachment in order to be able to adapt the holding force of the clamping spring to the respective circumstances.
  • a stop surface preferably inclined in the direction of adjustment of the extension, can be provided on the intermediate wall between the openings formed in it, on which the end of the inner web or a projection formed on it is supported when the clamping spring is tensioned.
  • the housing should, in order to facilitate the insertion of a tool for tensioning the clamping spring and the conductor to be connected, on both sides of the intermediate wall, each with a extending in the direction of the conductor to be inserted, preferably on the resilient leg of the clamping spring or in the outer leg of the approach incorporated insertion opening tapered housing openings.
  • the conductor to be connected is provided with a recess which is incorporated into its outer lateral surface, for example in the form of an annular groove, into which the outer leg of the attachment can be inserted. In this way, the conductor to be connected can be additionally secured against tensile forces.
  • the intermediate wall of the housing should be designed as an electrical conductor.
  • the screwless terminal for electrical conductors designed according to the invention is not only extremely simple in design and thus economical to manufacture, but also easy to handle. If the approach is locked with the part of the housing receiving the clamping spring, which is designed as an intermediate wall on which the clamping spring is supported, and if the intermediate wall is provided with openings through which the legs of the connection are passed, then it is possible for the locking to take place to solve by the action of the part to be connected to the inner leg of the approach. A tool for unlocking the pretensioned clamping spring is therefore not necessary, but rather the conductor to be connected is used, which is therefore always inserted to a sufficient extent into the stationary part designed as a housing when a connection is made.
  • connection terminal can be used in various ways to hold two parts, depending on the design.
  • Figures 3-5 each different types of latching of the projection molded onto the clamping spring.
  • the terminal shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 and designated 1 serves for the screwless connection of two parts 2 and 3, of which the part 2 designed as a housing 11 is arranged in a stationary manner and the part 3 designed in the form of a conductor for making a connection therein can be introduced.
  • the housing 11 has an intermediate wall 12 on which a hairpin-shaped clamping spring 21 is supported.
  • one leg 22 of the clamping spring 21 bears against the intermediate wall 12, while the other leg 23 can be pivoted with respect to the latter.
  • a U-shaped projection 25 is formed on the resilient leg 23 and is formed from a middle leg 26, an outer leg 27 and an inner leg 28.
  • the outer leg 27 is provided with an insertion opening 29 for the conductor 3 to be connected and passes through an opening 13 machined into the intermediate wall 12, while the inner leg 28 is in an opening 14 incorporated into the intermediate wall 12 and one in the leg 22 of the clamping spring 21 provided, aligned with this further breakthrough 24.
  • the tensioned clamping spring 23 can be locked by means of a locking lug 31 attached to the central web 26 of the attachment 25, which engages in an undercut formed as a recess 18 and machined into the inner surface of the end wall 15 of the housing 11.
  • a tool for example a screw blade, is to be inserted into the front housing opening 16 and the resilient leg 23 of the clamping spring 21 is to be pivoted in the direction of the attachment 25 attached to it in such a way that the detent 31 snap into the recess 18 can.
  • the locking lug 31 slides on the inclined surface 32 provided on the housing end wall 15, so that the clamping of the clamping spring 31 can be accomplished without difficulty.
  • the catch 31 is removed from the stop surface 19 of the recess by a slight adjustment of the extension 25 in the axial direction of the housing 11 18 lifted and the approach 25 is moved by the force of the clamping spring 21 approximately perpendicular to the conductor 3 to be connected.
  • the force of the clamping spring 21 thus acts on the conductor 3 via the clamping surface 30 of the outer leg 27 created by the insertion opening 29, so that the latter is pressed against the intermediate wall 12 and the parts 2 and 3 accordingly firmly with one another in accordance with the design of the clamping spring 21 are connected.
  • a recess can be z in this.
  • an annular groove can be incorporated in which the outer leg of the extension 25 engages in the position shown in FIG. 2.
  • the force which is required to release the latching formed by the latching lug 31 and the recess 18 can be influenced. If, as shown in Fig. 3, the contact surface 19 'of the locking lug 31 is formed inclined in the adjustment direction of the extension 25, the inner leg 25 can only be adjusted slightly by the conductor 3 to be connected in order to release the catch and thus make the connection.
  • the device 1 can therefore also reliably lock very thin wires and strands in the housing 11.
  • the connecting terminal 1 is used as a connecting terminal for electrical conductors, the intermediate wall 12 is understandably to be made from an electrically conductive material.
  • the projection 25 formed on the clamping spring 21 can also be latched to the intermediate wall 12 of the housing 11. 4 in such a way that the end of the inner leg 28 is supported on a stop surface 33 of the intermediate wall 12 which is arranged between the two openings 13 and 14 when the clamping spring 23 is tensioned.
  • a locking lug 34 created by a bend can also be provided on the outer leg 27, which is supported on the intermediate wall 12 provided with a U-shaped opening 13 '.
