Abstract

A holder for a stack of a variable number of pictures is disclosed. The holder includes a clamping device whereby a stack of pictures in the holder is held against a window. Pictures can be added or removed at an open end of the window frame or through the back of the frame. Alignment devices are provided, preferably on at least two sides of the frame, to align the uppermost picture in the stack with the window.

Description

The invention relates to a holder for a stack of images of variable thickness with a window on which the uppermost image of the stack is presented lying flat by means of a positioning arrangement and with centering means which secure the images in their position relative to the window. Such a holder is known from US-PS 4,242,820.

The known picture holders completely enclose the picture stack, and in order to be able to check it for completeness if necessary, the picture holder must be opened. The layout is deactivated. The whole results in a mechanism which is relatively complex for the intended purpose.

The object of the invention is to provide an image holder of the type mentioned, in which the application arrangement has such a simple structure that the holder is particularly inexpensive to manufacture.

The solution to this problem is defined in claim 1; the sub-claims define expedient and advantageous developments.

On the long sides of the frame there are edge portions 106 which are bent backwards with respect to the window and which can spring open elastically and press the stack lying behind the window 102 firmly against the frame areas surrounding the window, but above - if a pane is inserted into the window cutout the latter. The stack is aligned and supported under the window opening; for this purpose, stops 108 are provided in the cavities encompassed by the edge parts and an end stop 110 (cf. FIG. 2) which extends perpendicularly thereto and which extends vertically downward from the transverse edge 112 (in FIG. 1). At the end of the space occupied by the stack opposite the end stop 110, the holder is open so that the images can be pulled out here. The insertion of a stack is facilitated in that the corners 114 of the edge regions 106 which are folded backwards are angled away from the window cutout and thus form a ramp along which the stack can be guided.

The resilient deflection of the edge portions 106 depends on the thickness of the stack. A large margin can be covered if, for example, the edge parts made of spring steel are attached to a plastic frame 100, as indicated in FIG. 2; in this case the stops 108 and 110 also form an integral part of the plastic frame.

But even if the stop 110 were formed in one piece with the frame and also with the resilient edge parts 106, the deflection of the latter would not be impeded, since the end stop 110 is offset from the edge parts at both ends.

A variant in which the end stop 110 ′ extends over the entire end face of the holder is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4: Here, the separating slot 116 ensures that the resilient deflection of the edge parts 106 can take place without hindrance. Here, it is also indicated that T-pieces 107 which protrude inwards at the end stop, ensure that the stack of images is covered by the frame to the same extent on all sides, the aim being that this cover be as small as possible. This variant also shows the window 118 inserted in the frame 100.

In beiden Fällen ist natürlich das Material glasklarer Kunststoff, da die Sichtfensterverglasung Teil des Anschlag- und Halteteils ist.5-8 show two further variants: According to FIGS. 5 and 7, together with the stack, a stop and holding part - shown separately as FIG. 7 - is inserted into the frame, and this part comprises the stops which extend transversely to the resilient edge parts 106 extend. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 6 and 8, however, this stop and holding part (FIG. 8) has all the stops for the stack. In both cases, of course, the material is crystal-clear plastic, since the viewing window glazing is part of the stop and holding part.

The plate-shaped section 122 has a width “b” equal to the width of the images to be accommodated and, as indicated in perspective in FIG. 10, can be inserted into the holder together with those that the narrower plate-shaped portion 124 can serve as a foot when the holder is used as an upright frame. 11 shows a side view of how part 120 is to be used if the holder is to be set up as a landscape frame. The holder itself corresponds to the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 8.

The embodiment according to FIGS. 12 and 13 differs from the basic construction described so far in that here the clamps do not rest against the stack in an elastically prestressed manner, but are pivotable and have so much friction in their pivot bearings that they remain in a position which has been set manually once.

The holder here consists of a double-walled frame 130 with a window opening 132 - optionally glazed -, the inner walls 134 being the centering means for aligning the image stack 136 with respect to the window opening. The inner walls 134 also have bearing openings for two pins 138 lying opposite one another, which are formed on two wings 140. These represent the brackets. The width of the wings between the pegs is dimensioned such that they rest with friction on the respective inner walls which run transversely to the inner walls which are positioned, so that they have a position in which they lie flat against the window opening hold, and into which they have been moved by hand. As shown in FIG. 14, it is not absolutely necessary to provide a journal bearing: if an appropriate plastic material is used, such as polypropylene, the joint 142 can be formed in one piece with the frame on the one hand and the wings on the other.

Fig. 15-18 stellen ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel dar. Here, the holder comprises a frame 150 with a window opening 152 - optionally covered by a clear plastic pane - and centering stops 156 formed on the shorter side walls 154 of the frame. Also molded onto the frame extend from its front plate 158 parallel to its longer side walls, pillars 160, which on the one hand fulfill the function of stops to support the stack 162 on its longer edges, and on the other hand have incisions 164 into which leaf springs forming the application clip can be hung. This is done in that the springs each have a pair of openings 166, in which, however, the distance between their mutually facing end edges is greater than the distance of the incisions 164 of the pair of pillars in which the spring in question is attached. Accordingly, it is only possible to hang the springs in two stable positions, each of which is shown in FIGS. 15 and 16: in the former, the free spring arms 168 apply pressure to the inserted stack, and if one clicks on the central spring arch 170 between 16, the spring jumps into the position according to FIG. 16, in which the stack can be exchanged (so-called “frog spring effect”). If the thickness of the stack of FIG. 15 z. B. is enlarged, only the spring arms beyond the pillar incisions are subjected to a bending stress, while the spring section between the respective pillar pair does not deform any further. After inserting a stack (Fig. 16), press on the spring ends to restore the position shown in Fig. 15.

Fig. 19-21 zeigen ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel. Fig. 19 - daß beide Halter Rücken an Rücken zu liegen kommen.19-21 show another embodiment. In principle, there are two holders 180, 180 ', which are combined to form an assembly by means of a joint 181. As shown in FIG. 21, the holder can thus be set up in such a way that the two viewing windows 182 stand side by side, but also in this way - cf. Fig. 19 - that both holders come to lie back to back.

Durch die der Bodenwand 186 gegenüberliegende Öffnung kann der Stapel ausgetauscht werden.19 has channel-shaped holders with side walls 184, a bottom wall 186 and inwardly protruding support strips 188, leaf springs 190, which are supported on the support strips and hold the inserted stack of images in contact with the respective viewing window . The stack can be exchanged through the opening opposite the bottom wall 186.

Fig. 22-25 stellen ein letztes Ausführungsbeispiel dar. B. in Fig. 22 erkennbar.22-25 illustrate a last exemplary embodiment. Similar to FIGS. 12-14, the holder has a double wall structure surrounding the viewing window 200 with outer walls 202, inner walls 204 and frame sections 206. On one of the inner walls, here one of the longer inner walls on the right in FIG. 23, two strips 208 made of volume-compressible material are fastened, e.g. B. strips of foam glued. Opposite them, the inner wall is interrupted by incisions 210, and recesses 212 in the frame sections in this area enable the part 214 of the relevant inner wall between the incisions 210 to be deflected elastically. Corresponding strips 216 are attached to this elastically deflectable inner wall part 214, opposite the strips 208. The distance between the two inner walls opposite each other is precisely matched to the corresponding dimension of an image stack to be inserted. In order to be able to insert this, the inner wall part 214 is therefore bent out (cf. FIG. 25), and as can be seen in particular in FIG The strip 216 in question tapers in the direction of the window, so that the image closest to the window can in fact lie flat without being compressed. The rest of the stack compresses the strips, e.g. B. recognizable in Fig. 22.
