Außerdem erfassen gegeneinander versetzte Borsten mehr Haare als nicht gegeneinander versetzte Borsten, weil ihre Endpunkte eine Fläche aufspannen, während die nicht versetzten Borsten mit ihren Endpunkten auf einer Geraden liegen.
