Neben diesen herkömmlichen Bürsten gibt es jedoch auch seit einiger Zeit solche Bürsten, die zwar weniger, dafür aber exakt plazierte Borsten aufweisen. Die Borsten bestehen hierbei zumeist aus elastischem Kunststoff und sind in den Schnittpunkten von senkrecht aufeinanderstehenden Linien angeordnet. Der Durchmesser der großen Borstenbeträgt zwischen 0,45 und 0,70 mm, während ihre Länge zwischen 15 und 30 mm beträgt. Jedes Bündel besteht aus zwei bis sechs Borsten, und zwar derart, daß etwa 8 bis 30 Borsten auf einen Quadratzentimeter des Trägers entfallen. Die sphärischen Verdickungen an den Enden der Borsten weisen einen Durchmesser auf, der das 1,2 bis 2,5-fache des Durchmessers der Borsten beträgt. Der mit der Erfindung erzielt Vorteil besteht insbesondere darin, daß durch den Borstenversatz die Haare mittels leicht schrägstehender Borsten geführt werden. Außerdem erfassen gegeneinander versetzte Borsten mehr Haare als nicht gegeneinander versetzte Borsten, weil ihre Endpunkte eine Fläche aufspannen, während die nicht versetzten Borsten mit ihren Endpunkten auf einer Geraden liegen. Aufgrund der alternierenden Anordnung der Borsten werden die Haare gewissermaßen wellenförmig geführt. Vorteilhaft ist es auch, die gegeneinander versetzten Borsten abwechselnd groß und klein auszubilden. Die Borsten 2 entspringen Löchern 4, die sich in Querstegen 5 befinden, welche ihrerseits mit einem Rahmen 6 verbunden sind, der zwei seitliche Schienen 7, 8 aufweist. Zwischen den beiden Schienen 7, 8 verläuft ein Längssteg 9, der mit den Querstegen 5 und den Schmalseiten des Rahmens 6 verbunden ist. Man erkennt hierbei., daß die Löcher 10-16 Langlöcher sind, deren Hauptachsen 17-23 gegeneinander versetzt sind, und zwar derart, daß die Hauptachsen zweier benachbarten Langlöcher, z. B. 10, 11, einen Winkele einschließen. In jedem der Langlöcher 10-16 sind zwei Borsten untergebracht, von denen in der Fig. 2 die Querschnitte 24, 25; 26, 27; 28, 29; 30, 31; 32, 33; 34, 35; 36, 37 zu erkennen sind. Die Befestigungslöcher der Borsten liegen auf einer gekrümmten Linie 73, die den Verlauf der parallelen Stege 5 wiedergibt. Hierbei ist die Lagerung der Borsten 45-47, 52-54 sowie ihre Verbindung über die Bögen 76, 77, 78 zu erkennen. Diese Bögen 76-78 entsprechen den Bögen 38-44 der Fig. 2. Auf jedem Bogen und zwischen zwei zugeordneten Borsten 45, 52; 46, 53; 47, 54 befindet sich ein metallisches Klemmstück 79, 80, 81, das die beiden Borsten an die Innenwand eines Langlochs anpreßt. Die Verbindung der Borsten 2 mit dem Bürstengrund kann per Hand oder maschinell erfolgen. Hierzu werden beispielsweise zylindrische Kunststoffstäbchen mit jeweils einer Kugel am Ende des Stäbchens an einer Stelle neben der Mitte geknickt und in ein Langloch des Bürstengrunds geschoben.
