Description
The invention relates to a chisel holder equipped with a spraying device, in particular for cutting heads, with a receiving bore in which the shank of the chisel, optionally with the interposition of a bushing, is axially displaceable and optionally rotatably supported, the displacement of the chisel shaft in the direction of the Cutting pressure is limited by the stop and the chisel shaft is loaded against the cutting pressure by a restoring force and wherein a valve for the supply of water to the chisel or to the face during the cut is arranged in the chisel holder, which valve is opened by the axial displacement of the chisel shaft under the effect of the cutting pressure becomes. In the known chisel holders of this type, which are equipped with a valve for supplying the water to the spray nozzle, the displacement of the chisel shaft under the cutting pressure is transmitted to the valve via a lever arrangement. Such a transmission mechanism results in a complicated structure. The receiving bore in the chisel holder for the chisel shaft is open at the rear of the chisel shaft in order to accommodate the transmission members which transmit the axial displacement of the chisel shaft to the valve, and this results in a weakening of the chisel holder.
The object of the invention is to simplify the transmission of the movement of the bit holder to the valve and at the same time weaken the bit to avoid holder. To achieve this object, the invention essentially consists in the fact that the receiving bore is at least partially closed at the end facing away from the bit tip, that the housing of the valve is arranged in the receiving hole in the deepest region thereof coaxially with the bit shaft, which faces away from the bit tip End of the chisel shaft acts on the actuator of the valve, and that the jacket of the receiving bore between the seat of the valve and the mouth of the receiving bore at an axial distance from the mouth of the receiving bore, which is greater than or equal to the axial depth to which the Chisel shank protrudes into the receiving bore when abutting against the stop, has at least one opening which opens on the outside of the chisel holder. The fact that the receiving bore is at least partially closed at the end facing away from the chisel tip prevents a weakening of the chisel holder. Characterized in that the housing of the valve is arranged coaxially with the chisel shaft in the receiving bore, the rear end of the chisel shaft can act directly on the actuating element of the valve, and this results in a simplification of the actuation of the valve. In addition, such a design enables a simpler construction of the bit holder, since only one hole has to be provided here, which simultaneously serves as a receiving hole for the bit shaft and as a receiving hole for the valve housing. The chisel holder can therefore also be made smaller. The fact that between the seat of the valve and the mouth of the receiving bore, at an axial distance from the mouth which is greater than or equal to the axial depth to which the chisel shaft extends, xxxxxxins free mouth Openings are provided in the jacket of the receiving bore, it is avoided that contaminants or liquids which have penetrated between the chisel shaft and the receiving bore reach the valve seat. This is important because the axial displacement movement of the chisel shaft creates a pumping action which promotes the conveyance of contaminants to the rear end of the chisel shaft. If dirt would get to the valve seat, the valve will certainly leak. Those impurities that are pumped up to the end of the chisel shaft by this pumping effect emerge through the opening or openings and therefore cannot reach the area of the valve seat. According to the invention, a channel can be connected to the opening, which includes an acute angle with the axis of the receiving bore, the tip of which points in the direction of the mouth of the receiving bore. The inclination of this channel or several channels promotes the removal of contaminants.
The valve is expediently a cone valve and, according to the invention, the stem of the valve cone on which the chisel shaft acts is preferably leaky in the valve housing. In this way, water gets into the receiving bore and this has the advantage that the dirt is flushed out through the openings. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the stem of the valve cone is only partially sealed against the valve housing by a slotted sealing ring. In this way, leakage losses and thus the amounts of water entering the receiving bore can be exactly determined by the size of the gap. Hiebei is according to the invention moderately made the arrangement so that the end of the chisel shaft facing away from the chisel tip engages around the stem of the valve cone in a pot-like manner. In this way, an annular gap is created between this cup-shaped end part of the chisel shaft and the shaft of the valve cone or the valve housing part in which the valve shaft is guided. The leakage water emerges at the end of the valve guide and must now flush through this annular gap. In this way it is prevented that contaminants can reach the valve stem through the annular gap against the flushing flow.
According to the invention, the possible stroke of the valve cone is expediently greater than the axial path of the chisel shaft up to the stop. This creates a reserve stroke, so to speak, so that the opening of the valve is still guaranteed with certainty even if the abutment surface of the valve stem on the chisel stem is worn.
If a bushing is pressed into the receiving bore in order to improve the wear resistance of the receiving bore guiding the chisel shaft, the openings can be arranged in at least one cross-sectional plane behind the inner end of the sleeve according to the invention. This is useful since in this case the bushing does not have to be drilled through.
According to the invention, annular grooves can advantageously be provided on the inside of the receiving bore or the bush between the mouth of the receiving bore and the opening. A sealing ring can be inserted in at least one of the grooves, while the remaining grooves as dirt Serve initial grooves. As a result, the amount of dirt reaching the deepest point of the receiving bore and thus the amount of the same to be removed through the openings is reduced.
