Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a protection device for entering a door lock key.

It is well known that one of the weakest points of any entry door is the key penetration hole. This is where the majority of break-ins take place.

Workarounds have been found to reinforce this weak point, namely: anti-drilling devices, rotating disc, etc.

All these protections must include a slot for the introduction of the key and leave the door defenseless against burglary by fraudulent copying of the original key, false keys, picking instruments, etc.

The present invention overcomes these drawbacks by providing an unbreakable and tamper-proof lock.

More specifically, the present invention relates to a protection device for entering a door lock key, the lock being controlled by a safety cylinder characterized by the arrangement of the cylinder recessed with respect to an orifice in the front of the door. and normally masked by a movable flap which can be operated by a secret lock mechanism.

Thanks to this arrangement, access to the cylinder is practically impossible in normal times since the access opening of the key is masked by the flap which can, advantageously, be made of case-hardened steel.

To have access to the cylinder entrance, you must know the secret allowing to operate the secret lock mechanism. This mechanism may for example include an electromagnet controlled by a secret device which can be: a button keyboard for dialing a secret number or combination: a speech recognition device in the memory of which the voices of authorized persons have been programmed to enter the room in question or an access control system by affixing fingerprints and comparison with those programmed beforehand, by using a magnetic stripe card or, for example, by an entirely mechanical system with a combination of secret numbers.

All these means for controlling the movable flap are widely distributed in the specialized trade and are well known to those skilled in the art.

The embodiment of the invention described below uses one of these variants, the list and enumeration of which above are in no way limiting.

It will also be observed that an attempt to cut the movable flap, through the key passage orifice, is very uncertain and is likely to result in deterioration of the cylinder, then making the picking of the latter even more difficult.

According to the embodiment chosen and shown, the invention is applied to a door 10 of structure made of sheet steel with an exterior facade panel 11 and an interior facade panel 12.

On the edge 13, there are two giant bolts 14, 15 adapted to be controlled by means of a vertical linkage 16, 17, from a central control lock 18 embedded in the thickness of the door.

A visible latch bolt at 19 can be operated in the usual manner by means of a nut 20, while the control of the bolts 14, 15, by means of the linkage 16, 17, operates from of a cylinder 21 under the control of a corresponding key (not shown).

This mechanism, of a type known per se, is considered to By way of example, its embodiments do not directly relate to the invention which essentially relates to the arrangement of the cylinder 21 and the protection of its access for the introduction of the key.

In general, according to the invention, the cylinder 21 is set back with respect to an orifice 22 formed in front of the door 10 and normally masked by a movable flap 23 which can be operated by an arming mechanism 45 controlled by a secret lock mechanism 33.

According to a set of advantageous arrangements of the invention, more particularly illustrated in the figures, the cylinder 21 is installed inside the lock 18 opposite the orifice 22 which is here drilled for this purpose, in the front panel outside 11 and at a certain distance from the internal face thereof. In the space thus provided between the front panel and the lock box, the movable flap 23 is arranged here, consisting of a strip of very hard metal, for example case-hardened steel, having a passage 40 and extending vertically between a series of pairs of guide pads 24, 25, 26 adapted to form a slide in which the flap is free to move vertically by sliding under the effect of its weight.

At its upper part, the sheet metal strip forming the flap, is folded back on itself to form a groove 27 in which is engaged with play the rounded end of the arm 28 of a lever 29 which here the arming mechanism 45. This lever 29 pivots freely on an axis 30 and comprises a second arm 31 disposed opposite the movable core or pusher 32 of a non-detailed electromagnet constituting the operating member of the secret lock mechanism 33 which is here an encrypted combination lock of known type comprising a keypad 41 (for example of the brand PRESOMATIC).

This combination lock is located on the front of the door, directly above the central lock 18, possibly in extension of a front plate (not shown) which can line the area of the lock with an opening suitable for passage of the follower control square 20 and of course another orifice aligned with the orifice 22.

The operation of the protection device according to the invention is particularly simple. To be able to insert the key into the cylinder of the lock, the user must, first of all, release the movable flap 23, so that its passage 40 comes opposite the orifice 22 of the front panel which is itself even opposite the entrance to cylinder 21.

This release is obtained, in the embodiment shown in the figures, by composition of an appropriate combination on the keyboard 41 of the combination lock 33.

This combination makes it possible to release the movable core of the electromagnet of the lock 33, so that the movable flap is no longer urged upwards by the arming mechanism 45, and can come, by gravity, into position , called released, that is to say that it slides with its own weight in the slide formed by the pairs of studs 24, 25, 26. A stop, not shown in the figures, retains the movable flap at the end of stroke, so that its passage 40 is aligned with the orifice 22 of the door panel and with the inlet of the cylinder 21.

The user can then insert his key into the cylinder 21 and order the latter to obtain the opening of the giant bolts 14, 15.

The rearming of the movable flap 23, that is to say, the return of the latter to the position shown in Figure 1 where the flap masks the orifice 22 is done, in this embodiment, by pressing a key 42 the keypad 41 of the combination lock 33.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown, but encompasses all variantrs of execution and / or embodiment.
