Abstract

A sieve belt press includes two endless sieve belts which pass over a number of rolls. In the area in which the two sieve belts return separately, drive rolls are provided so that each sieve belt is driven separately. In addition, at least one further drive roll is provided in an area within which the sieve belts are passed in common over such further drive roll.

Description

The invention relates to a screen belt press, in which the material to be dewatered is pressed between two self-contained screen belts and passed over a plurality of rollers, both belts separately in the region of the side on which the dewatered material is thrown off driven rollers are guided.

Such a belt press can be found, for example, in DE-A-2127 974. In such belt presses, it is also known to pre-dewater the material to be dewatered first in a sealing zone and then in a wedge zone in which the two sieve belts are converged to one another and to guide them over dewatering drums, the first dewatering drum generally passing through Water is permitted not only through the outer of the two sieve belts, but also through the inner of the two sieve belts. It is also known to connect a further stage to a screen belt press of this type, in which the two screen belts are subjected to a possibly increased pressing pressure against one another with frequent deflection of their direction of movement. Typically, such belt presses have at least for one of the two belt a driven roller or roller which is arranged near the discharge end of the belt press and which acts directly on the belt. Especially in the case of sludge that is difficult to dewater or where there are higher demands on the degree of dewatering, a number of dewatering rollers or dewatering rollers in the screen belt or filter belt press that exceeds the normal level is required. If the tension caused by the belt drive in the filter belts acts on several dewatering rollers, then this tensile force in the press becomes smaller as the distance from the driven roller or roller increases due to the frictional resistance.

A wine press has become known from US-A-3446 139, in which elastic bands are guided over rollers and the bands are each guided together over driven rollers. By means of a special drive, the belt tension is to be continuously increased by a different speed of the rollers in the direction of movement. DE-A-2 431 572 shows and describes a screen belt press in which the material to be dewatered is pressed between two self-contained belts and pressed over a plurality of rollers, the belts being guided at ends on the discharge side via separately driven rollers and for one effective drainage the belts are driven at different speeds.

The invention now aims to equalize the tensile stress in the belt or filter belt press and thus to improve the dewatering performance of the belt press. To achieve this object, the invention consists in the fact that both belts are formed by sieve belts, that in addition in the area in which the sieve belts are guided together over rollers, at least one roller is driven, that at least one of the driven rollers over which the two Sieve belts are guided together, in the central region of the group of those rollers over which the two sieve belts are guided together, and that the driven rollers are separated by at least one non-driven roller. Surprisingly, it has been found that the degree of dewatering, particularly in the case of sludge which is difficult to dewater, can be significantly increased in this way. Due to the design that a driven roller or roller is arranged in a conventional manner near the discharge end of the belt press and the additional drive roller or roller is attached approximately in the middle of the dewatering roller row, the belt tension caused by the drive can be evened out, that is to say the tension drop that would otherwise occur be avoided or discontinued in the first part. The circumference of the additionally driven roller, which is preferably arranged in the middle, interacts with a screen or filter belt, which is driven again at the discharge end. The screen belt located outside and not directly affected by this additionally driven roller or roller can likewise be driven directly by a further driven roller or roller arranged in the central region of the screen belt press, as a result of which the belt tension can be further evened out. By arranging a non-driven roller between the driven rollers, the effect is further increased.

An improvement in the dewatering performance from 32% residual moisture to 27 residual moisture was measured by the drive of the further roller or roller which is wrapped by both sieve belts and which is separated from the roller or roller driving a separately returning sieve belt by at least one non-driven roller or roller .

It corresponds to a preferred embodiment of the subject matter of the invention that at least two driven rollers or rollers each have a separate and controllable drive. This design makes it possible to slightly change the peripheral speed of the second driven roller or roller compared to the first driven roller or roller, so that between the an increased pressure and thus more intensive drainage can be set for both driven rollers. Usually, however, the driven rollers are driven to a synchronous peripheral speed, which z. B. by adjustable geared motors and advantageously using the torque-dependent speed elasticity of electric motors is possible.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing.

In the drawing, the screen or filter belt press is designated 1. Within this screen or filter belt press, two screen or filter belts 2, 3 are guided in a closed circuit and tensioning rollers 4 are provided for setting the correct belt tension. The screen or filter belts 2, 3 are brought together in front of a first dewatering drum 5, the material to be dewatered being introduced into the gap between the two screen or filter belts 2 and 3. The two sieve or filter belts 2, 3 are then guided over dewatering rollers 6 and 7. The deflection rollers for the sieve or filter belts are designated 8. At the discharge end, a deflection roller 8, via which the respective sieve belt is guided separately from the other sieve belt, is equipped with a drive 10 for each sieve belt 2 or 3. Another drive roller, the drive of which is designated by 9, interacts with the screen or filter belt 2. The drive 9, 10 (not shown in its details) for the drive rollers can be regulated and adjusted. In addition to the deflection rollers 8, which have a drive 10, and the further drive roller with the drive 9, a dewatering roller 7, which interacts with the other screen or filter belt 3, can be provided with a drive in an analogous manner. In any case, the other sieve belt 3 is provided with a drive at least by a deflecting roller 8 in the area in which this sieve belt runs back separately.

With 11 control rollers are designated, with which the course of the tape can be checked.

The driven rollers with the drives 9 and 10 are driven to convey a synchronous belt speed, for example, by controllable geared motors, not shown. A slight delay in the peripheral speed of the driven roller 10 leads to an increase in the contact pressure in the region of the intermediate dewatering rollers 6 and can bring about an additional improvement in the dewatering effect.
