- the above constitution of the upper jaws thus allows an improved efficiency of the hauling apparatus while being particularly simple and enclosing the pre-tightening spring of each clamp inside the hollow body of its guided jaw in which this spring is is sheltered for long-term operation without deterioration.
- the roller 40 at the rear end of the guide bar 1 is arranged so that the bottom of its groove protrudes slightly down below the bottom of the longitudinal groove of the neighboring upper jaw 16 so that the cable cannot press against this jaw when the corresponding clamp is in the open position and slides on the cable while the other clamp advances towards the actuating lever by driving the cable.
- Such plating would indeed have the drawback of opening the movable clamp excessively relative to the cable and of disturbing the reversal of the action of the clamps during the reversal of the movement of the actuating lever.
