Claims (7)

1. A dental chair having a lower part which includes a supporting frame (3), and an upper part which includes a seat (4) and a back rest (5) which is pivotably articulated thereto, and having a displacing device (21-25) which is formed as a guide bar and is arranged between the supporting frame (3) and the upper part of the chair, and by means of which a seat frame (7) which supports the upper part of the chair can be moved along the lower part of the chair, means being provided which, on tilting the back rest, displace the seat relative to the lower part of the chair in the longitudinal direction of the chair, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, tilt the seat about a transverse axis with the aid of a roller (19) which is supported on a track (20), characterised in that the swivel bearing (6) for the back rest (5) is stationarily arranged on the seat frame (7) approximately in the region of the hip joint of a person sitting in the chair; that the part (9) of the bearing (6) on which the back rest (5) is arranged, has an extension (11) which is connected to the back rest (5) so as to be angularly rigid and which opens downwardly into the seat frame (7), and to which a pull-push rod (13) is articulated; and that a roller lever (16) having two lever arms (15, 18) is articulated to the seat frame (7), the push-pull rod (13) being articulated to the one lever arm (15) of the roller lever, and at the other arm (18) of which roller lever, there is positioned the roller (19) which is supported on the track (20) which is arranged on the supporting frame (3) of the lower part of the chair and determines the tilting motion of the seat.
2. A chair as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that the extension (11), the push-pull rod (13) and the roller lever (16) are arranged on both sides of the back rest (5).
3. A chair as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterised in that the roller lever (16) forms a preferably isosceles triangle with the two joints (14,17) and the bearing of the roller (19).
4. A chair as claimed in Claim 3, characterised in that the roller lever (16) has V-shaped lever arms (15, 18) which at their intersection are articulated to the seat frame (3) by means of a bearing (17).

A chair as claimed in one of Claims 1-4, characterised in that the guide bar consists of two longitudinal guide rods (21, 22) arranged one after the other, which are tilted towards one another at an obtuse angle and which are secured on the seat frame (7), and bushings (24, 25) which are assigned to said longitudinal guide rods and are articulated to the seat frame (3) of the lower part of the chair.
6. A chair as claimed in Claim 5, characterised in that the two guide rods (21, 22) arranged one after the other, are respectively arranged so as to be tilted to the horizontal at an angle of 10°.
7. A chair as claimed in one of Claims 5 or 6, characterised in that the guide rods (21, 22) are arranged in pairs.
