Abstract

Claims (4)

1. A device for parking vehicles on at least two superimposed platforms in which the platforms are arranged one above the other in a pit which is depressed relative to a plane of common entrance and in which slides guided on vertical rails are arranged on opposite sides of the platforms, the platforms being kept permanently parallel to one another and being pivotally mounted about respective transverse axes on said slides and said platforms further being arranged to be driven in unison by lift means arranged at each side of the platforms to permit alternative access to said platforms from the plane of common entrance, the platforms being substantially horizontal in their lower end position, which position affords access to the upper platform, while being tilted upwardly at the end adjacent the entrance in their upper end position, which position affords access to the lower platform,
characterized in
that the vertical rails (16) extend to the height of the plane of common entrance (11), that the length of the platforms (19, 20) connecting slides (17) is at least equal to the length of the vertical rails (16) such that, in the upper end position substantial lower portions of the slides (17) are still guided on upper portions of said vertical rails, and in that the lift means are acting on said lower platform (20).
2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said lift means disposed on opposite sides of the platforms each comprise one hydraulic cylinder (21) having a piston rod (23) displaceable therein, and in that said hydraulic cylinders have their lower ends articulatedly particularly cardanic diconnected to the long sides (30) of the said lower platform (20).
3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said slides (17) have fixed stop means (40; 42) projecting towards said platforms (19, 20) said stop means being operable to get engaged with side frames of the lower platform (20) for defining the inclination of the platforms (19, 20) in the upper inclined end position and in the lower end position, respectively.
4. Device according to claim 3, wherein each vertical rail is provided with a strut which extend between the bottom of the pit and the upper end of the respective vertical rail, characterized in that the lower side of said strut (15) is positioned within the pivotal path of an additional stop means (50), which is secured to said lower platform (20).
