Description
The invention relates to a flat sealing element according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
In such a sabot projectile known from US-A-36 20 167, the gas pressure receiving surface of the sabot has a flat sealing element made of an elastic material which is firmly connected to it, in order to block the propellant gases from passing through the butt joints between the sabot segments. This can lead to difficulties in detaching the segments from the flight floor. In addition, the known sealing element forms a disturbing dead load component.
The invention has for its object to provide a sealant, which ensures an undisturbed detachment of the sabot segments from the missile and through which the dead load can be reduced.
This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1, which is explained below with reference to four preferred exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing.
- Figur 1 eine bislang übliche Anordnung ausschnittweise im längsaxialen Schnitt,FIG. 1 shows a previously customary arrangement in sections in a longitudinal axial section,
- Figur 2 eine Draufsicht in Richtung eines Pfeils II in Figur 1 undFigure 2 is a plan view in the direction of an arrow II in Figure 1 and
Figures 3-6 four preferred embodiments according to the invention in sections in the longitudinal axial section.
According to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, the gas
In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 4, 5 and 6, a
