Abstract

A clamping buckle for straps, particularly shoulder straps on articles of clothing, with two buckle sections which are swingable with respect to each other around a transverse buckle axis, the buckle sections having a clamping position for clamping the strap. The buckle sections lie one on top of the other approximately parallel to each other with the formation of a gap therebetween. The buckle sections have respective gap sides which face the gap and respective outsides which face away from the gap, and they have slots and bars for diverting the straps including a bar in one buckle section opposite a slot in the other buckle section. The bar of the first buckle section is aligned on its gap side with a plane of the first buckle section and is of at least the same width as the slot of the other buckle section. A loop of the strap wraps around the bar and includes loop end portions passing through the slot that extend by the outside of the second buckle section.

Description

The invention relates to a clamping buckle for belts, consisting of a buckle upper part and a buckle lower part, which two parts can be pivoted relative to one another about an articulation axis and, in their position which clamps the belt, lie one above the other in approximately parallel planes to form two pull-through gaps, and which slots and webs for deflecting of the belt have such that the web of the buckle upper part is opposite to a slot of the buckle lower part in partial overlap, forming an angled passage gap.

A clamping buckle of this type is known from DE-Gbm No. 80.29341. The carrier tape belt runs through a slot of the transverse buckle axis designed as a film hinge. The belt section extending in the gap is gripped by the projecting web when the buckle sections are folded against one another and pressed into a slot of the other buckle section. A kind of latching is achieved in that the belt area, which is folded around the web and is practically converted into a narrow arch shape, is clamped to the slot surfaces while compressing the belt material. This configuration is disadvantageous in that the engagement is only achieved depending on the correct material thickness. There must also be a certain surface roughness. For example, slippage cannot be avoided with smooth belts under tensile load. A further disadvantage is the fact that tensile effects on the belt strain the clamping buckle in the sense of an opening movement. In the case of weak clamping forces, there is a danger that the belt section, which has been shaped into an arc but will stretch under tension, will lift the web, which projects beyond the gap, out of the slot.

The object of the invention is to design a generic buckle in a technically simple, safe manner in such a way that, despite deflection of the belt section that can be clamped, tensile loads on the carrier tape belt can no longer be converted into a force that causes the buckle to open.

This object is achieved by the invention specified in claim 1.

The subclaims are advantageous developments of the clamping buckle according to the invention.

As a result of such a configuration, a generic buckle of particularly increased utility value is created: Above all, the locking security is optimized. The slip-free assignment of the belt is no longer dependent on the use of a certain material thickness of the belt or its surface quality. There is an extremely gentle clamping effect. To this end, a simple procedure is used so that the web that is flush with the buckle section plane is wider than the slot opposite it, through which the two ends of a loop of the belt that completely wraps the web are threaded down to the outside of the buckle. This clamping loop secures itself; tensile loads acting on the belt do not act in the sense of a spreading movement of the two hinged buckle sections, but on the contrary in the sense of pressing the named sections together. Regardless of this, it is advantageous to secure the clamping buckle in the functional position; This is especially true in cases where the clamping buckle is created as a one-piece molded part, in which the buckle sections are connected via a molded-on film hinge. Since the entire body is expediently sprayed in the extended position, depending on the film hinge thickness, more or less large restoring forces can occur. For this reason, the procedure continued such that the buckle cross-section possessing the web carries a catch on the gap side, which snaps into a counter-catch of the other buckle section. It is structurally advantageous with regard to the design of the latching means if the latch sits on the free transverse end edge of the one buckle section and is designed as a finger bridging the gap, which snaps behind a clip edge of the other buckle section designed with opposing latch slants. For the convenient opening of the buckle, an advantageous embodiment consists in the fact that the locking head of the finger also has two opposite sloping latches.

The clamping buckle shown consists of two buckle sections 1 and II which can be pivoted relative to one another about a transverse buckle axis x-x.

Fig. 1 und 2). The entire buckle body is injection molded in one piece, taking into account a film hinge 3 achieved in the transverse axis area by reducing the material cross section. The spraying takes place in a shape corresponding to the stretched position of the buckle body (cf. FIGS. 1 and 2). The film hinge 3 lies on the side on which the buckle sections I, 11 are folded together.

,The buckle section I is designed in detail so that it forms a web 4 running in its central zone parallel to the buckle transverse axis xx. The latter is on both sides of one Flanked slot 5. The two slots 5 are of equal length. Their width corresponds to the usual belt thicknesses. ,

Sie entspricht beim Ausführungsbeispiel etwa der halben Schnallenkörperplattendicke z.The position of the web 4 is selected such that when the clamping buckle is transferred to the book cover-like collapsed position according to FIG. 3, it is located opposite to a slot 6 of the other buckle section II. The width of this slot 6 corresponds to twice the width of a slot 5. The gap between the two buckle sections 1 and II folded against one another is designated by 7. The web 4 that is aligned with the gap-side buckle section plane E-E E is wider than the width of the slot 6 opposite it in the other buckle section 11. In the symmetrical superimposition shown, an overlap zone y is thus created on both sides of both longitudinal edges of the web 4 and slot 6 as clamping surfaces. It corresponds to about half the buckle plate thickness in the exemplary embodiment.

The longitudinal edges of web 4 and slot 6 pointing outward and gap-side are left at right angles, at most weakly chamfered.

The belt G is assigned in such a way that it tapes from above as a carrier belt belt. It is from the back of the buckle, i.e. H. of the buckle section II, introduced through the slot 6. From there it takes an upward course in the gap 7 in order to emerge from here through the upper slot 5 of the buckle section I in front of the clamping buckle. Continuing, the carrier belt strap completely wraps around the web 4, for which purpose it is re-inserted through the lower slot 5 of the buckle section I. It in turn runs upwards through a section formed by the gap 7 in order to then emerge again through the slot 6 of the buckle section II. The free end of the buckle strap G points downward in the plane of the inlet. The loop that wraps tightly around the web 4 is denoted by Sch, and the ends that pass through the slot 6 are denoted by a and b. The tension on the carrier belt G pulls the buckle section I folded up like a book cover while reducing the gap 7 only more firmly against the gap-side surface of the other buckle section 11. The overlap zones y act as clamping surfaces.

As can be seen, the buckle section II continues downward into an eyelet 8 for hanging in a button 9 of a tab 10, which starts, for example, from the bib of a piece of clothing (not shown in more detail) and can be conveniently removed and attached. The cross-section-reduced eyelet opening 8 'is preceded by a funnel-like deflection area formed by legs 11 of the buckle section. The button 9 is such that button plates extend on both sides of the eyelet and the button web lies in the eyelet cavity.

In order to counteract above all a gaping of the buckle body, which indeed consists of foldable sections, a catch extends from the buckle section forming the web 4, which snaps into a counter-catch of the other buckle section II. The catch is as from the free end edge 18 of the buckle, i. H. of the buckle section 1 outgoing, the gap 7 bridging fingers 12 formed. This can easily be sprayed on when the buckle is made. This finger 12 snaps behind a clip edge 13 of the other buckle section II. The clip edge 13 lies in a recess 15 that recesses in relation to the transverse front edge 14 there fall off.

Furthermore, the end section of the same, which forms a latching head K of the finger 12, is provided with counter-sloping latch slopes 12 ', 12 ".

When the snap connection is brought about, the sloping slope 12 'falling in the direction of the gap 7 slides over the sloping slope 13' of the clip edge 13 which takes a corresponding slope course. The finger dodges and runs over the clip edge 13 in order to then overlap the outward-pointing slope slope 13 ''. The corresponding slope slope 12 "of the locking head K takes the same course.

The clip edge 13 is moved somewhat from the central plane of the buckle section II in the direction of the gap 7, so that there is an immersion space 16 for the latch head on the outside. This only slightly projects beyond the rear surface of the buckle. The niche 15 is about the size of a fingertip, so that the operator can easily release the snap connection by bending the finger 12 again. The corresponding slope course also makes it possible to fold up the buckle section while overcoming the snap forces. The corresponding fold-up position makes it possible to set the individual length of the carrier belt G, since no clamping occurs in this spread-out position. The opening 17 at the foot of the finger 12 comes from the cross slide of the mold.

The film hinge 3 allows the elastic adjustment of the gap 7 to different belt thicknesses.

All the new features mentioned in the description and shown in the drawing are essential to the invention, even if they are not expressly claimed in the claims.

Claims (3)

1. A clamp-buckle for straps (G) consisting of an upper part (I) of the buckle and a lower part (I I) of the buckle, these two parts being able to pivot with respect to one another about an axis of hinge (x-x) and in their position of clamping the strap lying one above the other in approximately parallel planes to form two pull-through gaps and having slits and webs for deflecting the strap in such a way that the web (4) in the upper part of the buckle lies in partial overlap opposite a slit (6) in the lower part of the buckle to form a cranked course of the pull-through gap, characterized in that the axis of hinge (x-x) extends across the direction of pull-through of the strap, the upper part (I) of the buckle defines the two pull-through gaps by a single central web (4) adjoined by two slits (5), the two parts of the buckle are caught one under the other in a position which determines the maximum inside width of the pull-through gap, and the lower part (II) of the buckle continues into a fixing flap (11) for the fixed end (10) of the strap,
2. A clamp-buckle as in Claim 1, characterized in that the catch is seated on the free front cross edge (18) of the upper part (I) of the buckle and is formed as a finger (12) which bridges over the gap (7) and snaps behind a catch edge (13) on the lower part (II) of the buckle, formed with latch bevels (13', 13") in opposite directions.
3. A clamp-buckle as in Claim 2, characterized in that the head (K) of the catch on the finger (12) likewise has two latch bevels (12', 12") in opposite directions.
