A lettering guide for the tracing of alphanumerical characters comprises an elongate rectangular frame to be placed on a receiving surface such as a sheet of paper or cardboard, the frame accommodating a slider which is transversely shiftable in its opening to align a horizontal strip of the receiving surface with either of two sets of cutouts (e.g. for the tracing of capital and lower-case letters, respectively) formed in an elongate template. 6. Writing pattern slide in accordance with one or several of Claims 1 to 5, featuring a slide rail (8) corresponding to a groove (15) in the slide (3) being appointed on both opposing inner sides of the frame (1).
7. Writing pattern slide in accordance with one or several of Claims 1 to 6, featuring the recesses (23) of the writing pattern (4) interacting with the end stop (22; 26) being appointed at a certain distance from each other depending on the character size.
