Der im Horizontalschnitt gezeigte Wärmetauscher 1 hat einen nicht dargestellten Ober- und Unterkasten, die durch vertikal verlaufende plattenförmige Hohlkörper 2 zur Führung des zu kühlenden Mediums miteinander verbunden sind. Die plattenförmigen Hohlkörper 2 sind aus einzelnen Platten 3 und stirnseitigen Abstandsstücken 4 durch Löt- oder Schweißverbindungen gebildet. Für den Durchtritt von Luft als Kühlmedium sind die einzelnen plattenförmigen Hohlkörper 2 so zueinander angeordnet und mit dem Ober- und Unterkasten verbunden, daß von einem der Hohlkörper 2 zum anderen jeweils regelmäßige Zwischenräume 5 für den Durchtritt von Luft vorhanden sind. An der Lufteintrittsseite des Wärmetauschers 1 ist eine gitterförmige Attrappe 6 befestigt, die gemäß Zeichnung im wesentlichen die gleiche Struktur wie der Wärmetauscher selbst aufweist. Dabei ist die Anordnung so getroffen, daß sich an den Stirnseiten der plattenförmigen Hohlkörper 2 Rippen 7 der Attrappe 6 dicht anschließen, die ihrerseits mit den Stirnseiten deckungsgleich oder, wie im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel, etwas überstehend ausgebildet sind. Durch den dichten Anschluß der Rippen 7 an die plattenförmigen Hohlkörper 2 ergibt sich ein guter Übergang, so daß die in Pfeilrichtung durch den Wärmetauscher strömende Kühlluft in der Strömung ungestört bleibt. Die Attrappe 6 besteht aus einem an seiner Oberfläche schmutzabweisenden Kunststoff, damit im Bereich des Kühllufteintritts keine den Durchtrittsquerschnitt für die Kühlluft einengenden Schmutzablagerungen auftreten können. Es ist aber auch denkbar, die Attrappe 6 aus Gründen der Stabilität aus Metall herzustellen, das zumindest an den vom Kühlluftstrom bestrichenen Flächen mit einem schmutzabweisenden Werkstoff beschichtet ist. Zur Beschichtung einer solchen Attrappe für einen Wärmetauscher könnte beispielsweise ein unter der Markenbezeichnung "Teflon" bekannter Werkstoff Verwendung finden.The
