Description

The invention relates to a hammer with the middle part carried by the hammer handle via a plug-in sleeve and head pieces arranged on the opposite side and made of softer material, for example made of plastic or rubber, with mandrels of the middle part equipped with undercuts on the circumferential side positively entering recesses in the head pieces.

Such a hammer is from the production of the Wera-Werk company and from its brochure documents, e.g. the documents Weralit 1/77 known as a so-called kickback-free hammer. The middle part consists of a sleeve which is closed at the end by inserted plates which support the mandrels. There is granular material inside the sleeve. A radially aligned insert sleeve is attached to the sleeve, which receives the hammer handle. Such a design is expensive to manufacture because of the many parts forming the middle part.

A hammer is also known, the middle part of which is made of malleable cast iron, from which the mandrels extend in one piece. This embodiment requires after-treatment by overturning after the middle part has been cast. In addition, no undercuts can be provided on the thorns when casting, so that the head pieces are not sufficiently tight and therefore represent a hazard when working with the hammer.

The object of the invention is based on the object of designing a hammer of the required type in a manner which is simple to manufacture in such a way that, in addition to cost-effective production, the safety value of the hammer is increased.

This problem is solved by the characterizing part of claim 1.

As a result of such a design, a generic hammer of increased utility value is specified. The appropriate choice of material brings casting and safety advantages. The mandrels equipped with undercuts on the circumference can now start from the central part in the same material, so that the head pieces placed on the mandrels are then held securely. Furthermore, the hammer handle is securely fixed. The particularly end of the end of the hammer handle that is particularly at risk is protected in the plug-in sleeve that starts out in one piece from the central part. The total length of the hammer handle is therefore made up of the length of the insert sleeve and the diameter of the middle section. Then the plug-in sleeve forms a double cone through the inner cavity and the middle part through the widening opening, which leads to an extremely firm fit of the hammer handle. The widening opening serves to receive the wedge hammered into the front end of the hammer handle, so that the middle part can no longer be displaced in both directions relative to the hammer handle. Zinc die casting of medium hardness, which provides the required strength, is particularly suitable for producing this middle part. Another advantage is the more cost-effective production, since approx. 30% costs can be saved compared to known hammers.

It also proves advantageous if, in addition to their circumferential undercuts, the mandrels have grooves running in the longitudinal direction. As a result, the head pieces are not only fixed in the axial direction of the mandrels, but are also secured against twisting on the mandrels. These channels running in the longitudinal direction can also be produced during the spraying process.

Finally, an advantageous feature is when a cylindrical intermediate section extends between the tapering course of the inner cavity and the widening course of the opening.

Diese Massnahme führt zu abstützungstechnischen Vorteilen. This measure leads to advantages in terms of support technology.

  • Fig. 1 eine Ansicht des Hammers,
  • Fig. 3 einen Längsschnitt durch den Hammer,
  • Fig. 4 eine Stirnansicht des Mittelteils und
  • Fig. 5 einen anderen Längsschnitt durch das Mittelteil.
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5. It shows:
  • 1 is a view of the hammer,
  • 2 is a view of the central part, seen from the widening opening of the central part,
  • 3 shows a longitudinal section through the hammer,
  • Fig. 4 is an end view of the middle part and
  • Fig. 5 shows another longitudinal section through the central part.

The hammer has a hammer handle 1, a middle part 2 and the two head pieces 3 and 4 attached to the middle part. The middle part is made of die-cast zinc of medium hardness and is cylindrical in shape. The mandrels 6, which are offset in cross-section from the central part, emanate from the end faces 5 of the central part in the same material. Each mandrel is equipped with four channels 7 running in the same angular distribution in the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, each mandrel 6, adjacent to the front end, forms an annular groove-like undercut 8. The front end of each mandrel 6 is then provided with a bevel 9. These serve to facilitate the attachment of the head pieces 3 and 4, which in turn are equipped with central blind holes 11 and 12, respectively. The mounting of the plastic heads 3, 4 on the mandrels 6 is preferably carried out after heating them, so that each head piece 3, 4 is then securely fixed in the axial direction and, in addition, the longitudinal grooves 7 of the mandrels 6 cannot be rotated.

From the central part 2, a radially aligned plug-in sleeve 13 starts out, the length of which corresponds almost to the diameter of the central part 2. The inner cavity 14 of the insert sleeve 13 tapers approximately up to the transverse central plane of the central part.

This tapering course is adjoined by a cylindrical intermediate section 15, which in turn continues into an opening 16 which extends to the lateral surface F of the central part 2 and widens in this direction. Both the inner cavity 14, the intermediate section 15 and the opening 16 are oval in cross section. The intermediate section 15 extends symmetrically to the central axis passing through the mandrels 6 and the central part 2.

The hammer handle 1 is at its end 17 facing the middle part 2 before insertion into the middle frustoconical part. After inserting the frustoconical end 17 into the cavity 14, the intermediate section 15 and the opening 16, a wedge 18 shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG adapts to the opening. As a result, the end 17 of the hammer handle 1 is also formed into a double cone, which ensures an extremely secure fit of the middle part 2 on the hammer handle 1.

The transition point 19 between the middle part 2 and the insert sleeve 13 is rounded, so that a risk of breakage is avoided.
