Description

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for bundle formation of prefabricated strapping wires, the ends of which form the closure on z. B. bale goods are deformed and are lined up and held on guide means in juxtaposition transversely to the longitudinal axis of the strapping wire and in which a collar is formed by rolling or folding the coherent guide means or by placing separate sections of the guide means on or next to one another.

From US-PS 1 074587 strapping wires attached to a guide means are known, in which the wires are attached with their center to the guide means. This is only possible with short wires that have smooth ends where they cannot get caught. For the formation of closures on z. B. Long goods are used for bale goods, the ends of which are bent into eyelets. Long wire closures are known from Australian Patent Application No. 5491/17.

With these long wires there is a risk during transportation and use that the eyelets of several wires get caught in one another and the long thin wires:;: I twist among themselves.

The object of this invention is to completely eliminate this jamming and twisting and to make the strapping wire easily removable from the stack or the roll. This object is achieved in that the prepared and cut to length wire is fed to the bending tool of a bending machine via feed rollers and each end of the wire is formed into an eyelet by rotation around a hollow mandrel and a cord-shaped guide means is guided from a supply roll through each hollow mandrel and the bent wire is pushed by mandrel scrapers from the bending mandrels onto the cord-shaped guide means, and the guide means are formed into a bundle in a known manner with the strung wires.

In the middle area of the wire, the wire can additionally be attached to the guide means by an adhesive, adhesive connection. Such a connection can consist of an adhesive tape.

Another embodiment is that the strapping wire is completely or partially positively attached to another guide means in the central area. In such a case, this guide consists of z. B. a plastic tape with a short distance z. B. comb-like upright tines, the upper ends of z. B. are thickened. A strapping wire is clamped between two prongs.

The guide means and the attachment to it at the ends of the strapping wire is particularly simple if the guide means is, for. B. in the form of a round cross-section band, a wire or narrow, flat band through the loops or eyes of the strapping wire. This is most conveniently carried out with the aid of a device which contains a supply roll for the guide means and two bending tools for bending the two ends of the strapping wire, each bending tool consisting of a rotatable disk, on one side of which a bending mandrel is introduced, the longitudinal axis of which is aligned with the axis of rotation the disc coincides and in which a bolt is fastened at a short distance from the bending mandrel and parallel to it, and the bending mandrel is provided with a bore or groove along its longitudinal axis, to which a bore or groove in the disc serving as guide means is connected and also to a mandrel scraper is attached to each bending tool, the stripping movement of which is directed away from the disk along the longitudinal axis of the bending mandrel to a collecting point for the wires located in front of and below the bending mandrel.

The bore or groove can be machined into a single mandrel. But it can also be formed a groove with any cross-sectional shape in that the mandrel is composed of several longitudinal sides, between which a gap remains, which takes over the function of the groove.

Die Erfindung ist in Ausführungsbeispielen nachfolgend beschrieben. Es zeigt

The invention is described in exemplary embodiments below. It shows
  • 1 is a schematic representation of a bending machine and flow formation of the strapping wires or guide means with subsequent bundling,
  • 2 shows the schematic representation of the subsequent unbundling and partial quantity delivery for final consumption,
  • Fig. 3 is a schematic representation of the section of a form-fitting guide means for receiving the strapping wires.

The bent wire ends 4 and 5 of the strapping wires make it possible to line them up in the ends of the finished strapping wires directly by the ejection movement of the bending machine onto cord-shaped guide means 11 and 12. The strapping wires thus lined up form a fleece 20 which is collected into a bundle 21 in the run-up area 22. In addition, for large strapping wire lengths with lower rigidity guide means 15 and 16, z. B. adhesive tapes, from the supply rolls 17 and 18 by adhesive connection with the individual wires for the orderly juxtaposition of the strapping wires in the flow area with attached.

In Fig. 1, the method for bundle formation is shown schematically using an example.

The prepared and cut to length wire 1 is on the feed rollers 2 of the bending machine its bending tools 6, which the Bend the wire ends, feed them and produce the finished strapping wire 3. Cord-shaped guide means 11 and 12 coming from the supply rolls 13 and 14 are passed through the openings 9 and 10 in the center region of the bending tools 6, here the bending mandrels 7 and 8. The mandrel wipers 24 and 25 push the finished strapping wires directly from the bending machine onto the guide means 11 and 12, which are collected in succession to form the tile 20. Follow-up, adhesive guide means, such as. B. Adhesive tapes 15 and 16 from the supply rolls 17 and 18, support the orderly juxtaposition of the strapping wires collected in the tile 20 for large production lengths. The adhesive guide means, such as. B. adhesive tapes 15 and 16, are pressed by pressing elements on the tile 20.

The accumulating tile is collected in the run-up level 22. The illustration according to FIG. 1 shows an example of the formation of bundles by laying the tile in the form of folds. Depending on the width of the desired pleat position, a movable displacement device 23 oscillates stepwise transversely to the longitudinal direction of the strapping wires and thus pulls the guide means 11, 12, 15, 16 from the supply rolls 13, 14, 17, 18 against one another with the flown-up fleece, following the pendulum movement from here not described braking device on the guide means in the stock roll area.

After the desired bundle size has been reached, the guide means 11, 12, 15, 16 are separated, the bundle tied with known strapping means and transported away from the machine area. After inserting a new ramp level, such as. B. a pallet, the process is repeated as described.

The resolution of the bundle at the user is shown in Fig. 2. The respective upper fold layer 30 is removed in such a way that the guide means 11, 12, 15, 16 are separated by being cut open, the remnants of the guide means 26, 27, 28, 29 remaining in the respectively removed fold layer 30, and of which the required partial quantity from Z. B. 6-8 strapping wires per bale is removed.

In Fig. 3 ist der Teilabschnitt eines schnurförmigen Führungsmittels 31 dargestellt, in dessen Ausnehmungen Umreifungsdrahtabschnitte 19 formschlüssig haftend eingebettet sind.FIG. 3 shows the section of a cord-shaped guide means 31, in the recesses of which strapping wire sections 19 are embedded in a form-fitting manner.

As already mentioned, the implementation of the method shown is an example and not limited to it.

Figure imgb0001
So the bundle formation in the ramp level is also possible in other forms, such as. B. by rolling up the tile similar to a carpet roll. Furthermore, a flow formation is possible, which receives the strapping wires only in one layer on guide means and then each layer is stacked one on top of the other in the support area to form a bundle.
