Abstract

Endlich könnte auch die Unterbrechung der Schußfolge mittels anderer Glieder als der im Abzug angeordneten Auslöseklinke stattfinden. Das dargestellte Ausführungsbeispiel stellt jedoch ein Optimum hinsichtlich der Einfachheit des Aufbaues, des geringen Platzbedarfes und der Zuverlässigkeit dar.It is understood that the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown, but deviations from it are possible without leaving the scope of the invention. Claims (8)

1. Rounds limiter for automatic weapons with hammer percussion priming, especially small arms, with a ratchet wheel (39), which, when each round is fired, is rotated one tooth by an indexing pawl (38) connected fixably to the hammer (2) in transmission terms and which is held in its particular position on a springloaded detent member (46) and is provided with a control cam (49) which, after a predetermined number of indexing steps, actuates a member (26) interrupting the firing sequence, characterized in that the stroke of the indexing pawl (38) and the toothing of the ratchet wheel (39) are co-ordinated with one another in such a way that essentially the entire movement of the hammer (2) in one direction is transmitted to the ratchet wheel (39).
2. Rounds limiter according to Claim 1, characterized in that the indexing pawl (38) takes the ratchet wheel (39) along with it during the percussion movement of the hammer (2).
3. Rounds limiter according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the indexing pawl (38) is directly mounted pivotably on a bearing (37) arranged on the hammer (2) off-centre relative to the pivot pin (1) of the latter.

Rounds limiter according to Claim 3, characterized in that the indexing pawl (38) and the ratchet wheel (39) are loaded by a common helical compression spring (44) which is arranged between two arms (42, 45) approximately parallel to one another, attached one to the indexing pawl (38) and the other to the ratchet wheel (39), and which endeavours to keep the indexing pawl (38) engaged with the ratchet wheel (39) and at the same time return the ratchet wheel (39) into its position of rest.
5. Rounds limiter according to Claim 4, characterized in that the helical compression spring (44) is arranged on a spring rod (43) articulated on the arm (45) of the ratchet wheel (39) and passing through a recess in the arm (42) of the indexing pawl (38).

Rounds limiter according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, to interrupt the firing sequence, the ratchet wheel (39) engages with a release pawl (26) mounted pivotably in the trigger (16) and supporting the trigger lever (12) mounted on the same shaft as the trigger (16), and pulls the release pawl (26) off the trigger lever (12), so that the trigger lever is released so as to drop into a notch (11) of the hammer (2).
7. Rounds limiter according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ratchet wheel (39) is mounted concentrically relative to the safety shaft (23) of the trigger mechanism.
8. Rounds limiter according to Claim 7, characterized in that the safety shaft has a control surface which, in the continuous-fire setting, keeps the indexing pawl (38) disengaged from the ratchet wheel (39).
