- Device permitting to provide for a small craft a V-careenage presenting a maximum of sea-going qualities when in motion whilst conferring on it, when at rest, the stability obtained with flat bottomed boats, the device forming the lower surface of the careenage comprising a chamber which extends towards the forward part with progressive reduction in size and is provided with an opening at the rear and a vent hole at the front, characterised by a flat bottom of triangular shape under which is disposed a chamber (6) of triangular section (7) with total opening at the level of the bottom, the volume and width of this prismatic or pyramidal element becoming less to terminate as a point at the front and it being extended by a conduit (10), opening at a vent hole (11), lying along the stem (9) to its upper part.
