Claims (10)

1. Module d'affichage (10) destiné à un système d'affichage à projection par réflexion, le module comprenant une cellule (11) remplie d'un liquide comportant: une surface d'affichage (14) d'électrodes d'affichage, s'étendant dans deux dimensions sur la base de la cellule, surface dans laquelle des informations sont affichées optique- ment par une excitation sélective des électrodes d'affichage, une paroi latérale (15) autour du volume rempli de liquide et un couvercle transparent (16) pour enfermer le liquide dans la cellule, caractérisé en ce que les électrodes d'affichage diffusent la lumière, en ce que l'affichage est un affichage électrochrome et en ce que le module comporte en outre un guide de lumière latéral (12) de même étendue que la surface d'affichage dans la dimension parallèle au côté comprenant le guide, le guide ayant une face intérieure qui s'appuie ou qui fait partie de la paroi latérale sur ce côté de la cellule, une face extérieure (14) pour recevoir de la lumière provenant d'une source extérieure d'illumination et une surface supérieure réfléchissante (18) reliant la face intérieure et la face extérieure et inclinée vers le bas vers le couvercle transparent de la cellule de manière que de la lumière provenant de la source soit dirigée par le guide sur la surface d'affichage et diffusée par réflexion par cette surface à travers le couvercle transparent vers un ensemble de lentilles de projection extérieures au module.
2. Module d'affichage selon la revendication 1, dans lequel la face intérieure du guide de lumière latéral s'étend sur toute la profondeur de la cellule, la profondeur étant la dimension perpendiculaire à la surface d'affichage.
3. Module d'affichage selon la revendication 2, dans lequel la face extérieure (41) du guide de lumière latéral est plus grande que la face intérieure de manière que la dimension du guide diminue vers la cellule.
4. Module d'affichage selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la face supérieure (18) du guide de lumière latéral est revêtue pour la rendre réfléchissante.
5. Module d'affichage selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la paroi de la cellule est entourée, sauf si elle est adjacente au liquide de lumière, par une surface réfléchissante (17) inclinée vers l'intérieur, vers la surface des électrodes d'affichage, par rapport à la normale à la base de la cellule.
6. Module d'affichage selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la face extérieure (41) du guide de lumière latéral diffuse la lumière.
7. Système d'affichage à projection par réflexion comprenant un module d'affichage électrochrome (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, une source de lumière (32) dirigée sur la face extérieure (41) du guide de lumière latéral et un ensemble de lentilles de projection (31) situé a proximité le couvercle transparent (16).
8. Système d'affichage selon la revendication 7, dans lequel la source de lumière (32) dirige la lumière (40) principalement sur une partie supérieure de la face extérieure (41) du guide de lumière latéral (12).
9. Système d'affichage selon la revendication 8 ou 9, dans lequel le guide de lumière latéral a la forme d'un prisme triangulaire tronqué, dont la dimension diminue vers la cellule, et la source de lumière est une lampe avec un réflecteur ellipsoïdal et un filament à un foyer de l'ellipse, la lampe étant située de manière que le second foyer de l'ellipse se trouve dans la région de la face extérieure du guide de lumière.
10. Système d'affichage selon la revendication 7, dans lequel la source lumineuse comporte un bloc transparent (56) de section partiellement elliptique et une lampe tubulaire (55) à un foyer de l'ellipse, ce bloc se terminant par une face contenant l'autre foyer de l'ellipse, cette face s'appuyant contre la face extérieure du guide de lumière latéral et étant masquée sur une partie de sa surface supérieure au-dessus de son appui sur le guide de lumière latéral.
