Definitions
- the invention relates to a tubular bag package made of flat film made of plastic or the like.Weldable and / or gluable material, with a tube-forming longitudinal seam in one of the two opposing bag walls, a bottom and, after filling, a filling space which is delimited on the head side by a transverse weld seam and an upper that is free of filling material Edge area, which is delimited on the underside by the top seam of the filling space and on the top side by an upper final cross-weld seam of the pack, and has a grip hole which extends through the opposing pouch walls and is formed by punching or cutting in the longitudinal median plane of the pack and has a contour surrounding, for its part having a contour-like grip hole reinforcing strips made of plastic film or the like. Weldable and / or glued material is provided, the reinforcing strip having a length which is equal to the length of the pack and in the upper end the seam of the pack as well as in the top seam and in the bottom seam of the filling space.
- Such tubular bag packs are generally formed from flat sheets of plastic film, which are folded over a format shoulder to form a tube and are thereby provided with a tube-forming longitudinal seam.
- the tube thus formed is divided by transverse seams and, during the manufacture of the tubular bag packs, in portions with e.g. Free-flowing or pourable filling material such as road salt is filled, whereupon the filling space is closed on the upper side by a further transverse seam and the filling-free upper edge region of the tubular bag pack is formed with the upper closing transverse seam, in which the grip hole for carrying the material produced in this way is simultaneously cut or punched and at the same time filled pack is generated.
- Free-flowing or pourable filling material such as road salt
- the reinforcement strip reinforces only the grip hole area of the tubular bag pack.
- the reinforcement strip is formed by a layer of the double layer, which represents the tube-forming longitudinal overlap seam of the bag package.
- the bag pack is stiffened only in its bag wall containing the longitudinal seam, and the reinforcement strip always has the same material thickness and properties as the tubular bag pack. It is thus not possible in the known design to choose the thickness and material properties of the reinforcement strip independently of the material of the bag walls.
- the object on which the invention is based is therefore to create a tubular bag pack of the type specified at the outset, the grip hole of which is reinforced in the fill-free upper edge area with a conceivably low amount of material for the tubular bag pack overall, so that tearing out of the grip hole when carrying the filled bag pack is normally prevented .
- the longitudinally seam-free bag wall is provided with the reinforcement strip and in that the reinforcement strip is formed by a separate reinforcement band, which in the area between the upper end seam of the pack and the top seam and the bottom seam of the filling space is connected to the longitudinal seam-free region Bag wall runs.
- a tubular bag pack designed in this way provides a high degree of load-bearing strength of the bag pack in the grip hole area with low material consumption for the reinforcement strip, which according to the invention is assigned to the longitudinally seam-free bag wall, in conjunction with the tube-forming longitudinal seam contained in the other bag wall, which in turn has a stiffening effect on the bag wall Bag pack exercises. Furthermore, the fact that the reinforcement strip according to the invention is formed by a separate reinforcement band allows the thickness and the material properties of the reinforcement strip to be chosen as desired, depending on the requirements placed on the load-bearing capacity of the pack.
- the invention thus creates a particularly advantageous, on the one hand material-saving and on the other hand high-strength tubular bag pack which, as tests have shown, has a ten to 15 times higher strength in the grip hole area than conventional tubular bag packs.
- suitable materials can be used for the reinforcement strip, such as, for example, the same, thicker or thinner material as that of the bag walls, for example polyethylene, or different, stronger and therefore thinner material such as that of the bag walls, for example ribbon fabric.
- the drawing shows a tubular bag pack made of flat plastic film, designated as a whole by 1, with a tube-forming longitudinal seam 2 in one of the two opposing bag walls, of which only the bag wall 3 without longitudinal seams is shown in the drawing.
- the longitudinal seam 2 is a weld seam in the example shown.
- the tubular bag pack 1 is closed by a transverse weld 4.
- the cross-weld seam 4 forms a bottom seam for the lower boundary of a filling space 6, which is closed and delimited on the head side by a further cross-weld seam 7 after filling with, in particular, pourable or pourable filling material.
- the tubular bag pack 1 further comprises an upper edge region 8 which is free of filling and which is delimited on the underside by the top seam 7 of the filling chamber 6 and on the top side by an upper end transverse weld seam 9.
- a dashed line at 10 shows a dividing line which, when the filled tubular bag pack 1 is separated from the bag hose which continues upwards in the drawing, defines an upper separating edge of the tubular bag pack 1 and a lower separating edge of a next upper tubular bag pack.
- the upper end seam 9 of the tubular bag pack 1 can be attached in a manner known per se simultaneously with the attachment of the lower bottom seam 4 of the next upper tubular bag pack and the separation of the filled tubular bag pack 1 along the dividing line 10.
- the filling-free upper edge area 8 is provided as a carrying option for the tubular bag pack 1 with a grip hole 11, in the illustrated embodiment in the form of an arcuate die cut, which extends through the opposing bag walls and through a reinforcing strip 12.
- the reinforcement strip 12 which, like the tubular bag pack 1, is made of weldable and / or gluable material such as plastic film, e.g. Polyethylene film, is arranged in the longitudinal center plane of the package 1 symmetrically on both sides of the longitudinal seam 2, wherein it surrounds the contour of the grip hole 11 on all sides and is connected to the adjacent longitudinal seam-free bag wall 3.
- the width of the reinforcement strip 12 measured in the transverse direction of the package 1 is selected to be approximately half the package width.
- the reinforcement strip 12 is formed according to a particularly simple manufacturing method from a reinforcement band passing through the device for producing and filling the pack together with the film forming the pack 1 and has the same length as the pack 1.
- the reinforcement strip 12 is both in the upper end seam 9 as well as in the top seam 7 and the bottom seam 4 of the filling space 6 of the pack 1 and in this way connected to the adjacent, longitudinal seam-free bag wall 3, the separation of the reinforcement strips being carried out together with the separation of the respective pack from the bag tube.
- the reinforcement strip 12 In the area between the upper end seam 9 of the pack 1 and the top seam 7 and the bottom seam 4 of the filling space 6, the reinforcement strip 12 has no connection to the bag wall 3, but runs loosely along it. The force is introduced into the reinforcing strip 12 when the pack 1 is carried, thus only via the head weld 7 and the bottom seam 4 of the pack 1, which delimit the filling space 6.
- the reinforcing strip 12 is advantageously arranged in the interior of the bag because this prevents accidental damage or tearing off of the reinforcing strip 12 due to external influences.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a tubular bag package made of flat film made of plastic or the like.Weldable and / or gluable material, with a tube-forming longitudinal seam in one of the two opposing bag walls, a bottom and, after filling, a filling space which is delimited on the head side by a transverse weld seam and an upper that is free of filling material Edge area, which is delimited on the underside by the top seam of the filling space and on the top side by an upper final cross-weld seam of the pack, and has a grip hole which extends through the opposing pouch walls and is formed by punching or cutting in the longitudinal median plane of the pack and has a contour surrounding, for its part having a contour-like grip hole reinforcing strips made of plastic film or the like. Weldable and / or glued material is provided, the reinforcing strip having a length which is equal to the length of the pack and in the upper end the seam of the pack as well as in the top seam and in the bottom seam of the filling space.
Such tubular bag packs are generally formed from flat sheets of plastic film, which are folded over a format shoulder to form a tube and are thereby provided with a tube-forming longitudinal seam. The tube thus formed is divided by transverse seams and, during the manufacture of the tubular bag packs, in portions with e.g.
It has been shown in known tubular bag packs of this type that the grip hole easily tears out even with moderate packaging weights, as a result of which the carrying aid provided by the manufacturer is lost. An increase in the strength of the bag walls by means of a thicker flat film as the starting material is primarily due to cost reasons, since such tubular bag packs are disposable packagings which should be able to be produced with a minimum of material consumption.
In order to remedy this situation, in a known tubular bag pack of the type specified at the outset (DE-A-1953953), the reinforcement strip reinforces only the grip hole area of the tubular bag pack. The reinforcement strip is formed by a layer of the double layer, which represents the tube-forming longitudinal overlap seam of the bag package. As a result, the bag pack is stiffened only in its bag wall containing the longitudinal seam, and the reinforcement strip always has the same material thickness and properties as the tubular bag pack. It is thus not possible in the known design to choose the thickness and material properties of the reinforcement strip independently of the material of the bag walls. The fact that the reinforcement strip as part of the tube-forming longitudinal seam of the bag package is firmly connected to the bag wall over its entire length proves unfavorable for the load-bearing capacity of the known tubular bag package. As a result, the force is introduced into the reinforcement strip when the pack is carried over the bag wall containing the reinforcement strip, so that it is correspondingly stressed and, as a result, there are strict limits to reducing the thickness of the wall material of the bag pack.
The object on which the invention is based is therefore to create a tubular bag pack of the type specified at the outset, the grip hole of which is reinforced in the fill-free upper edge area with a conceivably low amount of material for the tubular bag pack overall, so that tearing out of the grip hole when carrying the filled bag pack is normally prevented .
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the longitudinally seam-free bag wall is provided with the reinforcement strip and in that the reinforcement strip is formed by a separate reinforcement band, which in the area between the upper end seam of the pack and the top seam and the bottom seam of the filling space is connected to the longitudinal seam-free region Bag wall runs.
A tubular bag pack designed in this way provides a high degree of load-bearing strength of the bag pack in the grip hole area with low material consumption for the reinforcement strip, which according to the invention is assigned to the longitudinally seam-free bag wall, in conjunction with the tube-forming longitudinal seam contained in the other bag wall, which in turn has a stiffening effect on the bag wall Bag pack exercises. Furthermore, the fact that the reinforcement strip according to the invention is formed by a separate reinforcement band allows the thickness and the material properties of the reinforcement strip to be chosen as desired, depending on the requirements placed on the load-bearing capacity of the pack. The fact that the reinforcement strip outside the transverse weld seams of the bag pack has no connection to the bag wall, but runs loosely along it, has a favorable effect on the load-bearing strength of the bag pack according to the invention. The force is introduced into the reinforcement strips when the pack is carried, therefore, only via the transverse weld seams delimiting the filling space, whereby the wall material of the packaging is largely relieved when the filled packaging is carried. This makes it possible to reduce the overall thickness of the wall material of the bag pack accordingly decorate without any significant reduction in packing strength in the finger hole area. The additional material consumption caused by the reinforcement strip can at least be compensated in this way. The invention thus creates a particularly advantageous, on the one hand material-saving and on the other hand high-strength tubular bag pack which, as tests have shown, has a ten to 15 times higher strength in the grip hole area than conventional tubular bag packs. It goes without saying that a wide variety of suitable materials can be used for the reinforcement strip, such as, for example, the same, thicker or thinner material as that of the bag walls, for example polyethylene, or different, stronger and therefore thinner material such as that of the bag walls, for example ribbon fabric.
Further features and advantages of the invention emerge from the subclaims and the following description in conjunction with the drawing, the sole figure of which illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the object of the invention in a schematic front view.
