Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for the production of tufted fabrics, wherein a yarn loop is formed by a needle penetrating the fabric and each yarn loop is picked up by a gripper and, if necessary, the yarn loop is cut open and a device for the production of tufted products with yarn feed devices the needles attached to a needle bar and arranged in a row in a gap, each needle being assigned a gripper, which may be equipped with a knife.
The process for the production of tufted fabrics is used in particular for the production of carpets, loop pile or by cutting the loops velore being produced. Such methods and devices are known, we only refer, for example, to British Patent 921 545. To achieve patterns, it is known not only the needles of a row with differently colored ones To feed yarns, but also to arrange two rows of needles one behind the other, but staggered on a needle bar. Each needle is assigned a gripper to pick up the sling. The grippers have different lengths.
The invention has for its object to improve the known tufting method for producing web-like patterns and to increase the production speed, which is measured by the number of stitches per meter. The invention solves the task for tufting fabrics in such a way that two loops of thread formed by two needles are picked up simultaneously by a gripper. The invention impresses with its clear and simple measure, which results in a doubling of the production speed compared to the conventional method, in which each needle has a gripper. The doubling of the number of stitches in the path unit according to the invention also results in a correspondingly denser tufted pile. In addition, it is now also possible, for example, to feed the needles with differently colored yarns, for example pepita-like patterns, which can normally only be achieved by weaving. are reenacting through tufts.
Depending on the yarn feed to the needles, it can be advantageous in a further development of the invention to feed the two needles gripped by a gripper with yarns of different twists, i.e. one needle with a twist with Z twist and the second needle with twine with S twist.
Starting from the known devices for producing tufting products, a device is proposed for carrying out the method according to the invention, which is characterized in that one gripper is assigned to two needles.
In this case, the two needles assigned to a gripper are arranged one behind the other in the direction of movement of the gripper, the second needle being arranged somewhat offset from the first needle relative to the gripper. For tufting machines, this means that two rows of needles are arranged one behind the other on a needle bar so that the second needle in the direction of movement and the receiving direction of the hook of the hook is slightly offset from the first needle, so that the hook after picking up the first Loop of the first needle also picks up the second loop of the subsequently arranged needle during its movement stroke. The displacement distance of the needles of the second row with respect to the needles of the first row is in each case less than half the distance between the needles of a row. Depending on whether the grippers are still designed with a knife or not, the loops are cut open or they remain in the loop.

The structure of a tufting machine is shown schematically in FIG. The individual yarn threads are guided via lines to the collecting
In Figure 2, a

This dislocation starts out; the schematic representation according to FIG. 4 is even clearer. 4 shows the schematic top view of the
