- the belt 8 will be arranged symmetrically with respect to the contacting faces of the two burdens and will enclose each of them over a height equal to at least the diameter of the rollers 3.
- the belt 8 will for example consist of a polyethylene film monoriented in a direction perpendicular to the stack, so as to reinforce its resistance to stretching. This polyethylene film will, for example, have a thickness of 100 microns.
- the belt 8 of shrinkable material is then brought to a temperature sufficient to cause it to shrink, for example, as shown in FIG. 3, by bringing the stack of loads in front of a ramp 9 of hot air guns, which project the heated air in the direction of the stack, and by pivoting it in front of the ramp 9 ( Figure 3). Under the effect of heat, the belt 8 retracts and comes to hoop on the bundles 1 and 2, at their interface, thus making them integral one of the urtrum, to form a batch, of which, as will be shown below, handling is easy ot which can be delivered in this form to users.
- the lots 10 and 11 are made up of rollers' burdens 12 identical to those which have just been described, but only the lower burden 10 is sheathed with a cover made of a retractable or stretchable material, while the burden 11, which is stacked on the previous one ( Figure 4), is devoid of such a cover. Indeed, the upper burden 11 is then capped with a cover 13 of retractable material, of polyethylene for example, which completely covers it and the lower part of which forms a skirt falls all around the upper part of the lower burden 10. As indicated above, the skirt of the cover 13 will preferably cover the lower burden 10 over a height at least equal to the diameter of the rollers 12 ( Figure 5).
- the cover 13 is then retracted by introducing the stack of burdens into a shrink oven 14, where it is heated by ramps with infrared radiation 15.
