Claims (10)

1. An appliance, more especially an electric household appliance, provided with a door (4) with a facing panel (7) connected to it by pivot links (10, 13 and 18) which with the latter, the facing panel and the door form an articulating linkage of the parallelogram type, the door pivoting about horizontal axes, characterized in that the assembly made up of the pivot links (10, 13 and 18), the facing panel (7) and the door (4) forms deflectable parallelograms having an area other than zero when the door is in a closed position, and in that there is a positive component of the forces applied to these parallelograms, which moves the facing panel towards this door.
2. The appliance as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that it comprises four pivot links (13) with ends pivoting about horizontal axes on the one hand in link joints (14) secured to the interior surface of the facing panel (7) and on the other hand in link joints (15) fixedly secured to the interior wall (16) of the door (4) in order to form two sets of deflectable parallelograms on the two lateral parts of this door.
3. The appliance as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that it comprises tension springs (23) which, mounted in the deflectable parallelograms constituted by the "pivot links-facing panel-door" assembly, tend to move the facing panel (7) towards the door (4).
4. The appliance as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that it comprises firstly four pivot links (18) articulating about a horizontal axis on one side by means of the ends of their outside halves in pivot joints (19) fixed to the inner surface of the facing panel (7), and on the other side by means of the parts of their inner halves carrying their inner ends, around horizontal axes, in pivot joints (20) fixed to the outside wall (17) of the door (4), and secondly two coupling rods (22) connecting in a pivoting manner the inner ends of these pivot links in order to form, with the latter, the facing panel and the door, two sets of twinned parallelograms able to be deflected.
5. The appliance as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that it comprises two tension springs (23) having one of their ends fixed to attachment means (24) integral with the outer wall of the door and having the other of their ends attached to the inner ends of lower pivot links, which are located nearest to the pivot axis (6) of the door.

The appliance as claimed in claim 4 or claim 5, characterized in that it comprises four L-like pivot links (18) whose ends of the longer limbs thereof are arranged to pivot in pivot joints (19) secured to the facing panel (7), the ends of the small limbs thereof articulating with the ends of coupling rods (22) and the joint parts of the two unlike limbs being arranged to pivot in pivot joints (20) integral with the outer wall (17) of the door (14).
7. The appliance as claimed in any one of the preceding claims 1 through 6, characterized in that it comprises a facing panel (7) whose inner edge is provided with one or more rollers (27) along it in order to aid in supporting the facing panel on the front wall (8) of the bodywork.
8. The appliance as claimed in any one of the preceding ciaims 1 through 6, characterized in that the assembly made up of the pivot links (10, 13 and 18), the facing panel (7) and the front door (4) forms deflectable parallelograms holding the lower edge (9) of this facing panel clear of any contact with the front wall (8) of the appliance when the door (4) is opened.
