Abstract

1. Arrangement for mounting helical armature restoring springs (28, 102) in electromagnetic switch-gear provided with a stationary magnet core and a movable magnet armature (24) connected to a contact holder (14), particularly in a contactor, in which arrangement the restoring spring (28, 102) is held, captive but releasable, in a roughly cylindrical cutout (64, 86) in that part of the casing (10) which receives the magnet core (16), by means of a pin (36, 80) of plastics material which guides the spring axially and engages over one end of the spring, the first end of which pin engages by means of a radially projecting nose (42, 84) behind an undercut in the wall of the cylindrical casing cutout (64, 86), while its second end (70) is supported on the contact holder (14), characterised in that the cylindrical casing cutout (64, 86) has over part of its length a first slot (50, 104) which is open only at the end remote from the pin insertion end of the casing cutout (64, 86) and in which the radially projecting nose (42, 84) of the pin (36, 80) engages after the style of a bayonet connection after the pin has been inserted into the casing cutout (64, 86) and correspondingly turned, through the action of the restoring spring (28, 102).
