Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate unnecessary comsumption of batteries by moving a flash device automatically into its housing position to break an electric charging circuit even if it is held left in the flash photographing position.
CONSTITUTION: When the photographer holds the camera by way of a switch 11 and pushes up the projecting part 3 of a flash device 2 by the finger in the operating part, the pin 2a, concave part 2b and pin 2c of the flash device 2 ascend to close an electric charging switch 21, whereby the electric charging of the flash device 2 is started. A switch B is closed by the pin 2c; electric power is supplied to the control circuit of a magnet; the other end 9b of a detaining lever 9 is attracted and held to the permanent magnet of a magnet 10, and the camera is ready to perform flash photographing. Next, when the photographer finishes photographing and ceases gripping the camera, electric current flows to the coil of the magnet 10 in a fixed time after the opening of the switch 11 to produce a magnetic field in the direction opposite from that of the permanent magnet, by which the attraction of the end 9b of the detaining lever 9 is released and the flash device 2 is moved downward by the shrinking force of a spring 6, thus it returns to the housing position.
