Description

The invention relates to a belt made of weft threads and two types of warp threads. Such a webbing has become known, for example, from DE-B-2225755. The main area of application of this webbing is to attach it to the waistband of trousers, skirts and the like. Due to its properties, a uniform appearance is retained even if the tension of its elastic warp threads is reduced.

This belt is less or not suitable for other areas of application. In particular, it is not usable as an upholstered furniture belt, because it requires a whole range of properties that this previously known belt strap lacks.

The object of the invention is to provide a belt made of weft threads and two types of warp threads, which is characterized at least by a high elasticity and tear resistance, so that it can be used, for example, as a spring element for upholstered furniture.

The object is achieved in that the webbing is formed from weft threads and two types of warp threads according to the characterizing part of claim 1. As required, this belt bend is characterized by high elasticity. It has a high tensile strength and springs noiselessly, so that it is well suited as a surface for upholstery material. Overstretching this webbing is practically impossible. On the other hand, it can be simple; H. are processed with low pretension, and it exerts only a slight internal tension on the frame, for example when used as a webbing for upholstered furniture. But it is staple-proof, which is particularly important with an upholstered furniture belt.

Somit wechseln beim Webprozeß bzw. beim Schußeintrag alle Kettfäden gleicher Art gleichzeitig von der Gewebeoberseite zur Gewebeunterseite und umgekehrt.“Equal” in the sense of claim 1 means that the warp threads belonging to the respective warp thread system are always the same in the fabric. Accordingly, all the warp threads of the one type are at a certain point on the belt at the same time over the weft threads or at the same time under the weft threads. The same applies to the warp threads of the second type. Thus, in the weaving process or during the weft insertion, all the warp threads of the same type change simultaneously from the top of the fabric to the bottom of the fabric and vice versa.

The length of the individual warp thread is greater than the length of the finished product. This extra length of the individual thread is due to the wavy position of the threads in the fabric, and it is referred to as "incorporation". The amount of incorporation can be controlled during the manufacture of a webbing by the amount of tension under which the warp thread or the warp thread system or the respective equivalent warp thread system is fed. Accordingly, the slight incorporation of part of the warp threads provided in the belt webbing according to the invention is achieved by feeding them under high tension. In contrast, the warp threads of the other part are fed with low tension, whereby a high incorporation into the fabric is achieved.

A particularly preferred embodiment of the invention provides that part of the warp threads consists of yarn material with an elongation at break of about 25% to 40%. It is very advantageous that the other part of the warp threads consists of yarn material with an elongation at break of about 6% to 8%.

In a further development of the invention it is proposed that the cross-section of a warp thread of the other part of the warp threads is a multiple of the cross-section of a warp thread of the one part of the warp threads, the yarn strengths in particular behave approximately as 2: 1 to 4: 1.

Another embodiment of the invention provides that the weft threads are made from a polypropylene film strip, their thickness corresponding to approximately one to one and a half times the one part of the warp threads. One part of the warp threads is advantageously made of synthetic filament yarn. The other part of the warp threads is expediently made from untwisted polypropylene film tape. These yarns have the required material properties to a particular extent, which is why they are extremely suitable for the production of the webbing.

The invention further relates to a method for producing a webbing of the type described in the introduction. In this respect, the object of the invention is to provide a method with which the production of a webbing of the type in question is possible, which is characterized by at least high Excellent elasticity and tear resistance.

To achieve this object, it is proposed according to the invention that the method for producing the webbing is designed according to one or more of claims 2 to 7 in accordance with the characterizing part of claim 8. A further development of this method is characterized in that the webbing is stretched after weaving to further reduce the incorporation of the fabric.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the webbing is shown schematically. Show it :
  • 1 shows a longitudinal section through a section of the webbing, and
  • Figure 2 after the so-called finishing.

The webbing according to the invention consists of warp and weft threads in a known manner. In the belt webbing according to the invention, the weft threads 1 are woven in pairs. Two types of material are used for the warp threads. One part 2 of the warp threads is made of synthetic filament yarn, the thickness of which is approximately 1/4 to 1/2 the thickness of the warp threads of the other warp thread part 3. The warp threads of both warp thread parts 2 and 3 occur in the same tissue. The warp threads of one part 2 are fed to the weaving process with a comparatively high tension, so that they lie smoothly in the fabric and have only very little incorporation. When woven, they experience a stretch due to the high tension, which takes out the soft initial stretch. The warp threads of the other warp thread part 3 are fed to the weaving process with low tension, and they receive a higher incorporation into the fabric. As the schematic drawing shows, they consist of stronger, tear-resistant and low-stretch material. Overall, a high percentage of thread incorporation is provided for the warp thread part 3.

After the weaving process, the raw material produced in this way is still stretched in order to further reduce the fabric incorporation. The purpose of this is to reduce the structural expansion, which has no spring effect when used later. In this respect, the elasticity behavior of the belt is improved by the stretching process. The latter is expediently combined with a fabric finish with a suitable finish product, such as Supron EL. This gives you a staple-resistant and cut-resistant spring belt with an improved surface structure.

The spring belt manufactured in the above manner and woven from the materials mentioned offers a whole series of advantages over known belt straps. First of all, its high elasticity should be mentioned. It also brings its spring effect without a support. Furthermore, it offers a support surface for upholstery material, has a high tear resistance and springs noiselessly. Stretching the belt is practically impossible. It can simply, i. H. are processed with a low preload and exerts only a slight internal pull on the frame. In view of the modern manufacturing methods, it is also very advantageous that this belt is staple-proof. You can make it colored and patterned.
