Procédé de fabrication d'un muselet destiné à être disposé sur une bouteille de champagne ou autre liquide mousseux, en utilisant à cet effet des segments de fil métallique comportant des parties assemblées par torsion, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte les phases opératoires ci-après ; a) on part de plus de deux segments de fil métallique (1, 2, 3, 4) qu'on conforme de manière que chacun comporte un arc de cercle central (la, 2a, 3a, 4a,) d'étendue angulaire égale à celle d'une circonférence (360°) divisée par le nombre des segments, cet arc étant solidaire par ses extrémités de deux branches substantiellement rectilignes (lb, 2b, 3b, 4b) orientées à peu près radialement vers l'extérieur par rapport au centre de courbure de l'arc de cercle ; b) on dispose ces segments (1, 2,3, 4) autour d'un centre commun (0) de manière que leurs parties en arc de cercle (la, 2a, 3a, 4a) réalisent un anneau central à partir duquel rayonnent des branches doubles (lb-2b, 2b- 3b, 3b-4b, 4b-lb) dont chacune est constituée par une paire de branches élémentaires faisant entre elles un angle de divergence nul ou faible ; c) on assemble par torsion les deux branches élémentaires constitutives de chaque branche double sur une partie seulement (jusqu'en A) de la longueur de cette dernière en partant de l'anneau central (la-2a-3a-4a), les fils des deux segments étant parallèles et substantiellement en contact l'un avec l'autre dans la partie restante (AB) ; d) dans la zone centrale de la partie restante (AB) de chaque branche double on inverse localement (en C) par torsion d'un demi-tour les deux fils ou branches élémentaires (lb-2b, 2b-3b, 3b-4b, 4b-lb) qui la constituent ; e) on roule sur elle-même la partie restante (ACB) ainsi agencée pour réaliser à la façon connue une boucle terminale (8) propre à recevoir le fil de ceinture du muselet. 1.
