Erstens stellen sie die für die Papierbahn 14 erforderliche Höhenlage sicher und zweitens bestimmen sie die seitliche Lage der sich auf der Papierbahn 14 befindlichen Etiketten in bezug auf die Kassette 3, wie dies vorstehend erläutert worden ist. So ausgerichtet gelangen die Etiketten 16 bis zur Abzugskante 21. In der Zwischenzeit bewegen sich auch die Kassetten 3 eine hinter der anderen zunächst auf dem ersten Transportband 4, bis sie vom Zubringerband 8 erfaßt und mit einer vergrößerten Geschwindigkeit zum Anschlag am nächstliegenden Schneckengang 7 gebracht werden. Dann treten die Kassetten 3 aus dem Reibeingriff mit dem Band des Zubringers 8 aus und die weitere Bewegung der Kassetten 3 wird nur durch die rotierende Schnecke 6 bestimmt. So gelangt die jeweilige Kassette 3 bis zum Ring 23, der an der Bewegungsbahn 2 der Kassetten 3 angrenzt.

Der Hohlraum 27 kann somit mit seiner Umgebung nur über einen sich zwischen den Schenkeln 38 und 39 erstreckenden Sektor 40 in Verbindung stehen, der allerdings durch einen entsprechenden Abschnitt des Ringes 23 mit den Öffnungen 25, 26 zugedeckt ist. Dieser Bogen 40 entspricht der Strecke, auf der die von Papierband 14 losgelösten Etiketten 16 zur jeweiligen Kassette 3 bewegt werden. Die mit Etiketten 16 versehenen Kassetten 3 werden dann mit Hilfe des zweiten Transportbandes 5 zur weiteren Behandlung abtransportiert. Das nun von Etiketten 16 freie Papierband 14 gelangt dann über die Zentrierrolle 22 und die Zugrolle 28 bis zum Aufnahmeteller 17. In Fig. 3 ist der Antrieb eines Teils der vorliegenden Einrichtung dargestellt. Wie bereits erwähnt worden ist, werden alle Teile der Einrichtung von einem gemeinsamen Motor 9 aus angetrieben. Die Aufnahmeteller 17 für das Papierband 14 werden über Kettentriebe 11 und Kettenräder 31 angetrieben. Die Ringe 23 der Zuführvorrichtung erhalten ihren Antrieb über im jeweiligen Schlitten 32 befindliche Getriebe (nicht dargestellt) sowie über Räder 33. Die Antriebsrollen 20 werden über Kettentriebe 11 und Kettenräder 34 angetrieben. Claims (12)

1. Labelling apparatus including a device for transporting the articles (3) to be procided with labels (16), which transporting device comprises a worm conveyer (6) and a conveyer belt (4), and including at least one device for applying the labels onto the articles, characterized in that the worm conveyer (6) is located below that area of the device for applying the labels where the articles are provided with labels, that the conveyer belt (4) is arranged ahead of the worm conveyer (6), and that a feeding device is located above that end of the conveyer belt (4) which is closer to the worm conveyer (4) as well as above the initial section of the worm conveyer (4).
2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the direction of the axis of the worm conveyer (6) coincides practically with the direction of travel of the articles (3), and that the distance between two adjoining threads (7) of the worm conveyer (6) corresponds with the length of the article (3) to be transported.
3. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the worm conveyer (6) is followed by a further conveyer belt (5).
4. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the device for applying the labels (16) onto the articles comprises a freewheeling primary centering roller (18) as well as a following driving roller (20) for a tape (14) supporting labels, that a drawing off edge (21) follows the driving roller (20) which borders a device for feeding of the labels (16) peeled off of the supporting tape (14) towards the respective article (3), and that there is provided a centering roller (22) and thereafter a drawing roller (28) for the tape (14) which already has been freed of the labels.
5. Apparatus according to claim 4, characterized in that the primary centering roller (18), the driving roller (20) and the centering roller (22) are provided with pins (19).
6. Apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that the center area of the supporting tape (14) is provided with a perforation (15) into which the pins (19) may be located, and that the labels are arranged at either side of the perforations (15).
7. Apparatus according to claim 4, characterized in that the circumferential area of the drawing roller (28) is of rubber, and that a pressing roller (29) is allocated to the drawing roller (28).
8. Apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that the device for feeding the labels (16) which are peeled off of the supporting tape (14) comprises a ring (24) operating at subatmospheric pressure and rotatably supported on a hub, that the ring is provided with through openings (25, 26), and that the ring is arranged such, that its circumferential surface borders the path of movement of the articles (3).
9. Apparatus according to claims 6 and 8, characterized in that the through openings (25, 26) in the ring (23) form two rows, and that one of each of the rows of openings is located at either side of the perforations (15) formed in the supporting web.
10. Apparatus according to claim 8, characterized in that the hub (24) is located on a slide (32) movable laterally to the axis of the worm conveyer (6).
11. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that its movable parts are driveable from a common motor (9).
12. Apparatus according to claim 4, characterized in that a feeding device for the labels (16) each is located at either side of the device of transporting articles (3).
