Definitions
- the present invention provides a solution to these problems and offers the advantage that the microphones are integral with the bowl and are put in place at the same time as this bowl. Thus the microphones are no longer apparent and all the connection wires of these microphones outside the bowl are eliminated.
- the invention conforms to claim 1 and ensures the suppression of whistling due to the Larsen effect.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 we see at 1 part of a counter, for example a bank, and at 2 a safety glass separating one half of the counter on the customer side, the other half on the side of the staff of the establishment.
- a bowl 4 In a rectangular recess 3 of the counter 1, extending symmetrically on both sides of the glass 2, is arranged a bowl 4, so that its upper edge is at the level of the upper face of the counter 1.
- the glass 2 extends practically until contact with this upper face and with the upper edge of the bowl 3, as seen in FIG. 2.
- the bowl 4 is formed of two half-bowls 5, 6 separated by an empty space or joint 17 which is preferably filled with a material which practically does not transmit the mechanical vibrations of one of the half-bowls to the other, such as rubber or silicone.
- Each of these half-cups is made of a thin piece, metallic or plastic, capable of vibrating like a speaker membrane.
- An electro-acoustic transducer 7 is fixed under the edge 8 of the half-bowl 5, to vibrate the latter like a loudspeaker membrane.
- An identical transducer 9 is similarly fixed under the edge 10 of the half-bowl 6 which is opposite to the edge 8.
- a microphone 11 is placed under the edge 8 of the half-bowl 5 and is used to control the transducer 9 located under the edge 10 of the other half-bowl 6.
- a microphone 12 is placed under the edge 10 and controls the transducer 7 located on the opposite side of the safety glass 2.
- Amplifiers 14, 15 are fixed under the underside of the two half-cuvettes and there are provided at 13 buttons for adjusting the power of the loudspeakers. These buttons are preferably housed in cavities of the half-cuvettes and designed to be turned with a screwdriver to adjust the sound power of each of the two half-cuvettes.
- the window described therefore has the advantage that no electrical element (transducers, microphones, amplifiers and their interconnections) is visible to users.
- FIG. 3 has the same advantages as the embodiment according to fig. 1 and 2. It differs from the latter in the following points.
- the bowl 4a - similarly formed of two half-bowls - is fixed on the upper face of the counter 1a, instead of being embedded in an opening of the latter. Consequently, the safety glass 2a has on its lower edge a notch 16 in which fits the bowl 4a, instead of having a straight edge as in the case of FIGS. 1 and 2.

Abstract
Description
In his previous Swiss patent No (D.No 10154/78) the author of the present invention described a security window which has proved effective. However, there is a difficulty which arises from the fact that the microphones sometimes cause annoying hissing (Larsen effect), which can only be eliminated by gropingly looking for another location for the microphones. In addition, having the microphones distant from the cuvette requires connection wires.
The present invention provides a solution to these problems and offers the advantage that the microphones are integral with the bowl and are put in place at the same time as this bowl. Thus the microphones are no longer apparent and all the connection wires of these microphones outside the bowl are eliminated.
The invention conforms to claim 1 and ensures the suppression of whistling due to the Larsen effect.
- Figure 1 en est une vue en perspective.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view.
- Figure 2 is a cross section along 2-2 of FIG. 1.
- Figure 3 is a view similar to FIG. 1, but relating to a variant.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, we see at 1 part of a counter, for example a bank, and at 2 a safety glass separating one half of the counter on the customer side, the other half on the side of the staff of the establishment.
2.In a
The
An electro-acoustic transducer 7 is fixed under the edge 8 of the half-
Thus all the electrical part is carried by the half-bowls and is put in place with it, all at once. Of course, a cable not shown makes it possible to connect this electrical part to a power outlet. This cable and this socket are provided under the counter, to escape the sight of users of the counter.
The window described therefore has the advantage that no electrical element (transducers, microphones, amplifiers and their interconnections) is visible to users.
The variant shown in FIG. 3 has the same advantages as the embodiment according to fig. 1 and 2. It differs from the latter in the following points.
1 et 2.The
