Definitions
- the invention relates to peristaltic pumps of the deformable tube type forming a pump body and which is interposed between rollers, cooperating by friction with a central drive shaft, and an external casing forming raceways for the share rollers. and on the other side of a tube housing groove. (See, for example, FR-A-2 383 333.)
- rollers themselves as the bearing of the drive shaft, to use the use of at least one non-working roller. , and to use at least one which is elastically deformable.
- Such pumps have the particular advantage of being able to be manufactured at low cost thanks to a mechanism which can be entirely made up of molded plastic parts and yet used at very high rotation speeds, making it possible to resort in particular to the use DC micromotors which can exceed 20,000 rpm and which are very inexpensive, which makes them particularly advantageous in the applications of windshield washer pumps or headlights for various vehicles, but also for laboratory, medical, or various liquid distribution devices.
- the present invention provides a solution to these problems which has proved to be better than those now known and which, in a peristaltic pump with a deformable tube forming a pump body, interposed between rollers, cooperating by friction with a central drive shaft , and an external casing forming raceways for the rollers on either side of a groove for housing the tube, is characterized in that each roller working with the tube is rigid in its central part cooperating with the tube, while it is elastically deformable at its ends cooperating with the raceways.
- the peristaltic pump according to the invention comprises at least one non-working roller with hub spanning the tube and the ends of which are preferably also deformable elastically.
- rollers comprising, engaged in rotation in their central part forming a hub, the cantilever axes of a guide-spacer plate extending in the casing at the end of the shaft d drive, the hubs projecting laterally relative to the rollers to cooperate in axial abutment with the plate.
- the spacer guide plate may have a centering rotary connection with the casing, just as such a rotary centering connection may also be provided with the central drive shaft.
- the invention leads to the use of micromotors of reduced powers never yet reached with equal pumping characteristics considered or allowing the obtaining of relatively higher pressures than usual, and in a favorable manner as to the tube endurance. It is also to be seen in particular that the presence of non-working rollers allows here, at equal flow, to use tubes of smaller diameter which are more resistant to use, and which can be used in variable number, in parallel or separately if necessary.
- the pump shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a motor and pump casing 1, comprising a central wall 2 which separates a housing 3 of the motor 4 from a housing 5 of the pump mechanism, and which is crossed by the shaft 6 of the motor forming the central drive shaft of the pump.
- This housing is completed at its two ends, on one side by a retaining cover 7 of the motor through which the electrical connection tabs 8 of the latter, and on the other side by a retaining cover 9 of the pump mechanism.
- the cover 9 forms with the casing 1 a circular groove 10 in which is disposed a deformable elastomer tube 11, the ends of which exit through an opening 12 for interrupting the groove, formed in the casing 1.
- the casing 1 and the cover 9 respectively form a circular raceway 13 for the first and 14 for the second.
- Each working roller 15 is of generally cylindrical shape, full in its central part 15a so as to be absolutely rigid with respect to the tube 11, the walls of which it brings into sealing contact along its generatrix opposite to that in contact with the shaft 6, while its ends cooperating with the raceways 13, 14 are tubular so as to be elastically deformable in operation.
- the non-working roller 16 is formed in the form of a diabolo, the central part of which spans the tube and the ends of which cooperating with the raceways 13, 14 are hollowed out so as to also constitute elastically deformable rolling bodies.
- rollers are distributed at 120 ° and held by means of a spacer-guide plate 17 comprising, engaged in rotation in axial passages of the central part of the rollers, three lateral axes 18 in cantilever, the plate 17 extending in the casing at the end of the drive shaft 6 and having a rotary centering connection with the cover provided by means of a pin 19 engaged in a corresponding housing 20 of the cover 9.
- rollers are subjected to a unidirectional axial stress depending on the direction of rotation of the motor, their axial abutment is here advantageously provided, for the indicated direction of rotation of the motor, between their hub making slightly projection relative to the roller and the plate 17, preferably with interposition of anti-friction washers 21.
- the spacer-guide plate 17 can also be provided in its central part around the axis 19 with an anti-friction washer 22 intended to cooperate with the casing cover 9.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 Such a solution is illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, in the context of an arrangement of the pump in the form of an interchangeable cassette, consisting of a casing 23 and a cover 24 forming, as previously, the groove for housing the tubes 25 and constituting raceways 26 and 27 for the working and non-working rollers 28 which are likewise mounted on a guide-spacer plate designated by 30 as a whole. They cooperate here with a drive shaft 31 having a shoulder 32 for retaining in the casing and having a housing 33 of polygonal section allowing it to be plugged into the output shaft 34 of the motor 35, of corresponding polygonal section.
- the plate 30 also has here a rotary centering link with the shaft 31, the latter having for this purpose an axis 31a of restricted diameter engaged, in a corresponding female housing of the plate 30.
- the motor 35 has its own casing 36 with cover 37 and which is provided on the side of its output shaft, with three claws 38 for elastic retention of the cassette cooperating with a retaining groove 39 formed on the pump casing 23, so that the cassette can be plugged onto the shaft 34, resiliently maintained in a self-centering state on the latter by means of the claws 38 and removable relative to the motor casing 35 by a simple extraction force from the elastic claws 38.
- the four tubes 25 are here respectively connected on the intake side to the connection end pieces 40 of an intake manifold tube 41 and on the discharge side to the connection end pieces 42 of an exhaust manifold tube 43, these tubes being able to be held in position between them and relative to the pump housing 23 via an elastic clamp 44 of suitable shape visible in Figure 4 and having both. a form engagement with the manifolds 41, 43 and its free branches with the pump housing at 45.
- FIG. 5 illustrates an alternative embodiment essentially relating to a reinforced guide of the rollers capable of being suitable for greater flow and at slower speed than those of the aforementioned applications.
- a cage 46 is made up comprising two plates 47, 48 which connect axes 49 passing through the hubs of the rollers, these plates having a centering rotary connection, one 47 with an axis 51 of restricted diameter extending the shaft central drive 52, the other 48 with an axis 53 of restricted diameter constituting the axis of coupling with the shaft 54 of the drive motor, to which it is here linked by an elastic coupling consisting of a sleeve rubber 55 having a forceful engagement with them.
- Such pumps can also function advantageously under simple power supply by photovoltaic cell.

Description
- la figure 1 est une vue en coupe axiale d'une pompe péristaltique selon l'invention ;
- la figure 2 est une vue en coupe transversale de cette pompe suivant II-II de la figure 1 ;
- la figure 3 est une vue en coupe axiale d'une autre forme de réalisation d'une pompe selon l'invention ;
- la figure 4 est une vue en bout côté carter de pompe de la figure 3 ;
