Abstract

Evaporation air-humidifier having a water storage container with a support plate carrying an evaporation filter and a pump extending into the water storage container, a fan, a motor for driving the pump, a hood formed with air inlet and air outlet openings, the motor being fastened to the hood, and a clutch between the motor and the pump, the clutch being automatically engageable when the hood is disposed on the storage container and automatically disengageable when the hood is removed from the storage container, including a substantially hollow cylindrical flow channel wherein the motor and the fan are disposed, the flow channel extending from the underside of the hood at least to the fan.

Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Verdunstungsluftbefeuchter mit einem Wasservorratsbehälter, mit einer Tragplatte, welche einen Verdunstungsfilter und eine in den Wasservorratsbehälter reichende Pumpe trägt, mit einem Motor zum Antreiben eines Ventilators und der Pumpe sowie mit einer Haube, enthaltend Luftein- und Luftaustrittsöffnungen, wobei der Motor an der Unterseite der Haube befestigt und zwischen Motor und Pumpe eine Kupplung vorgesehen ist, mittels welcher beim Abheben bzw. Ein Verdunstungsluftbefeuchter der genannten Art ist in dem DE-U-75 06 266 beschrieben, wobei der Motor an einer Zwischenwand der Haube angeordnet ist. Diese Zwischenwand befindet sich unterhalb der Oberseite der Haube, wobei ein ringförmiges und teilweise konisch verlaufendes Zwischenteil vorhanden ist. Die Haube weist somit einen vertieften Einsatz auf, an dessen Unterseite der Motor befestigt ist. Es sind ferner ringförmig ausgebildete Teile vorhanden, welche auch zur Luftführung zur Luftaustrittsöffnung hin dienen und mittels welchen eine Versteifung und Erhöhung der Stabilität der Haube erreicht wird. Hierdurch wird jedoch ein nicht unerheblicher Platz- und Materialbedarf erforderlich. Bekannte Verdunstungsluftbefeuchter weisen somit eine nicht unerhebliche Bauhöhe auf. Darüberhinaus sind zur Halterung der Pumpenwelle elastische Bänder vorgesehen, deren Anordnung und Befestigung bei der Montage einen entsprechenden Zeitaufwand erfordern und welche schließlich beim Reinigen des Wasservorratsbehälters leicht beschädigt oder zumindest von ihren Halterungen gelöst werden können. Es ergeben sich somit leicht Schwierigkeiten in der Handhabung und insbesondere beim Zusammenbau, zumal Verdunstungsluftbefeuchter in der Praxis oft von technisch wenig bewanderten Personen gereinigt und zusammengebaut werden müssen.An evaporative air humidifier of the type mentioned is described in DE-U-75 06 266, the motor being arranged on an intermediate wall of the hood. Bei diesem 'Verdunstungsluftbefeuchter sind jedoch der Motor und der Ventilator nicht an der Haube, sondern auf einem nach oben gerichteten Bodenteil des Wasservorratsbehälters angeordnet; hierdurch wird das Wasservolumen nicht unerheblich verringert. Ein ringförmiger Innenraum im Bereich der Haube wird mittels eines Verdunsterkartons in zwei Kammern unterteilt, so daß die Luft in der einen Kammer nach oben und in der anderen Kammer nach unten an dem besagten Verdunsterkarton vorbeistreicht. Der Verdunstungsluftbefeuchter besitzt ein kastenförmiges Gehäuse, wie es in Fig. 1 dargestellt ist. Das Gehäuse besteht aus einem Unterteil in Form eines Wasservorratsbehälters 1 und einer Haube 2, zwischen welchen sich eine Tragplatte 3 befindet. Die Tragplatte 3 besitzt einen umlaufenden, im Querschnitt H-förmigen Rand, mit welchem sie auf dem Wasservorratsbehälter 1 aufliegt. Auch die Haube greift in den genannten H-förmigen Rand 4 ein, so daß ein nach außen dichter Abschluß gegeben ist. Auf der Tragplatte 3 ist ein Verdunstungsfilter 5 angeordnet, auf welchem oben eine Flüssigkeitsverteilerrinne 6 angeordnet ist. Die Tragplatte 3 besitzt einen nach oben gerichteten Ansatz 7, in welchen eine Pumpe 8 eingehängt ist.The evaporative humidifier has a box-shaped housing, as shown in Fig. 1. Die Pumpe 8 enthält ein Gehäuse mit zwei Tragrohrhälften 9, 10 und einem unteren, topfförmigen Gehäuseteil 11. Die Pumpe enthält weiterhin eine Welle 12 mit einem hier nicht näher dargestellten Pumpenrad 13. Das Gehäuseteil 11 besitzt Öffnungen 14, durch welche Wasser aus dem Vorratsbehälter 1 angesaugt and mittels des Pumpenrades 13 durch einen Schlauch 15 in die Verteilerrinne 6 befördert wird. Die Flüssigkeitsverteilerrinne 6 befindet sich unmittelbar unterhalb der Unterseite 18 der Haube 2, so daß der Verdunstungsfilter 5 eine große Höhe bzw. Oberfläche aufweist. Die Haube 2 weist an der Seite Lufteintrittsöffnungen 16 und oben Luftaustrittsöffnungen 17 auf. An der Unterseite 18 der Haube 2 ist ein schematisch angedeuteter Elektromotor 19 angeordnet. Die Welle des Motors 19 ist ebenso wie die Welle 12 der Pumpe 8 im wesentlichen vertikal angeordnet, wobei die genannten Wellen miteinander fluchten. Das untere Wellenende 20 ist aus dem Motor 19 herausgeführt und trägt einen Ventilator 21, wobei eine Nabe drehfest mit dem Wellenende 20 verbunden ist. Der Motor 19 sowie der Ventilator 21 befinden sich innerhalb eines weitgehend zylindrischen Strömungskanales 23, welcher ebenfalls an der Unterseite 18 der Haube 2 angeordnet ist und zweckmäßigerweise mit der Haube 2 aus einem einzigen Stück hergestellt ist. Im Inneren des Strömungskanales 23 befinden sich weiterhin Versteifungsrippen 24, durch welche auch eine Führung des Luftstromes bewirkt wird. Der vom Motor angetriebene Ventilator 21 bewirkt eine Luftströmung in Richtung der Pfeile 25 und 26, wobei beim Durschtrömen des Verdunstungsfilters 5 das verdunstete Wasser mitgenommen wird. Der Ventilator 21 befindet sich bevorzugt etwa auf halber Höhe zwischen Tragplatfe 3 und Unterseite 18 der Haube und somit etwa auch in halber Höhe des Verdunstungsfilters 5. Der Strömungskanal 23, welcher vom Verdunstungsfilter 5 unter Einhaltung eines vorgegebenen Mindestabstandes umgeben wird, endet in einem Bereich unterhalb des Ventilators 21. Es sei darauf hingewiesen, daß das Gehäuse in der zur Zeichenebene senkrechten Ebene einen kreisförmigen oder auch einen langgestreckten rechteckförmigen Querschnitt aufweisen kann. Aus diesem Grunde ist in Fig. 1 die linke Seite nur zum Teil dargestellt. Es sei weiterhin hervorgehoben, daß auf der Haube 2 sämtliche elektrische Einrichtungen angeordnet sind, also auch die hier nicht dargestellten Anschlußklemmen, Schalter usw. Somit wird gewährleistet, daß beim Abheben der Haube 2 sämtliche elektrische Einrichtungen von den übrigen Teilen des Verdunstungsluftbefeuchters getrennt sind.The pump 8 contains a housing with two supporting tube halves 9, 10 and a lower, cup-shaped housing part 11. The shaft of the motor 19, like the shaft 12 of the pump 8, is arranged essentially vertically, the shafts mentioned being aligned with one another. The lower shaft end 20 is led out of the motor 19 and carries a fan 21, a hub being connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the shaft end 20. The motor 19 and the fan 21 are located within a largely cylindrical flow channel 23, which is also arranged on the underside 18 of the hood 2 and is expediently made with the hood 2 from a single piece. In the interior of the flow channel 23 there are also stiffening ribs 24, through which the air flow is also guided. The fan 21 driven by the motor causes an air flow in the direction of arrows 25 and 26, the evaporated water being taken along when the evaporation filter 5 flows through. The fan 21 is preferably located approximately halfway between the support plate 3 and the underside 18 of the hood and thus also approximately half the height of the evaporation filter 5. The flow channel 23, which is surrounded by the evaporation filter 5 while maintaining a predetermined minimum distance, ends in an area below of the fan 21. It should be pointed out that the housing in the plane perpendicular to the plane of the drawing can have a circular or even an elongated rectangular cross section. For this reason, the left side is only partially shown in FIG. 1. It should also be emphasized that all electrical devices are arranged on the hood 2, that is to say also the connecting terminals, switches, not shown here. This ensures that when the hood 2 is lifted off, all electrical devices are separated from the other parts of the evaporative humidifier.

Die Kupplungshälfte 32 enthält oder besteht aus einem Permanentmagnet, während die erste Kupplungshälfte 32 aus Weicheisen besteht. Die derart ausgebildete Magnetkupplung ist in der Weise dimensioniert, daß im aufgesetzten, dargestellten Zustand der Haube 2 eine sichere Verbindung zwischen Motor und Pumpe und somit auch ein sicherer Antrieb der Pumpe gewährleistet ist. Andererseits wird aber beim Abheben der Haube 2 die bestehende Verbindung gelöst, und zwar ohne daß von außen zusätzliche Handgriffe erforderlich wären. Da, wie oben bereits angegeben, in der Haube sämtliche elektrische Einrichtungen angeordnet sind, können dann der Wasservorratsbehälter 1, die Pumpe 8 sowie Verdunstungsfilter 5 sehr leicht gereinigt werden. Es muß also lediglich die Haube abgenommen werden, um die Trennung der elektrischen Einrichtungen einschließlich Motor von den übrigen Teilen des Verdunstungsluftbefeuchters zu erreichen.There is a releasable coupling 30 between the motor 19 and the pump 8. In Fig. sind die Kupplung 30 sowie die benachbarten Teile der Pumpe und des Ventilators 21 vergrößert dargestellt. Wie aus Fig. 2 ersichtlich, sind die einander zugewandten Oberflächen der Kupplungshälften 31 und 32 im wesentlichen konisch ausgebildet, wobei im Zentrum noch ein Konus mit entgegenrichteter Steigung vorgesehen ist. Aufgrund der konischen Ausbildung der beiden Kupplungshälften 31 und 32 wird beim Aufsetzen der Haube 2 bzw. beim Kuppeln von Motor und Pumpe eine sichere Führung und Zentrierung erreicht. Die einander zugewandten Oberflächen der Kupplungshälften 31 und 32 können gegebenenfalls (nicht dargestellt) mit ineinander greifenden Zähnen versehen sein, um in allen Fällen, beispielsweise auch bei einem schwachen Magneten, eine sichere Drehmomentübertragung zu erhalten. Wie in Fig. 2 dargestellt, sei die Kupplungshälfte 32 als Permanentmagnet ausgebildet und in Richtung des Pfeiles 34 magnetisiert. Die Kupplungshälfte 31 kann auch Weicheisen oder aber auch aus einem Permanentmagneten, jedoch mit entgegengesetzter Magnetisierungseinrichtung bestehen. Die Kupplung 30 ist weiterhin derart bemessen, daß die Welle 12 bzw. das Pumpenrad 13 in die dargestellte Position angehoben ist und somit eine besondere Axiallagerung der Pumpe nicht erforderlich ist.In Fig. The clutch 30 and the adjacent parts of the pump and the fan 21 are shown enlarged. The clutch 30 is further dimensioned such that the shaft 12 or the pump wheel 13 is raised to the position shown and thus a special axial bearing of the pump is not required.

Damit bei abgehobener Haube 2 die Welle 12 nicht zu sehr aus der dargestellten zentrierten Position herausfällt, ist das Pumpengehäuse bzw. die Tragrohrhälften 9, 10 mit radial nach innen gerichteten Ansätzen 35, 36 versehen. Claims (5)

1. An evaporator-type air humidifier with a water storage container (1), with a support plate (3), which bears an evaporation filter (5) and a pump (8) extending into the water storage container (1), with a motor (19) for driving a fan (21) and the pump (8) as well as with a hood (2) containing air inlet and air outlet apertures (16, 17), the motor (19) being secured at the lower side of the hood (2) and a coupling (30) being provided between the motor (19) and the pump (8), by means of which coupling (30) the connection may be automatically released or produced when the hood (2) is removed or placed on, characterized in that at its upper side the hood is formed in a flat manner, the air inlet and air outlet apertures (17) opening out at the upper side ; in that the motor (19) and the fan (21) are arranged inside an essentially hollow cylindrical flow duct (23) which extends from the lower side (18) of the hood (2) essentially to the fan (21) ; and in that a housing is provided which surrounds the shaft (12) of the pump (8) and comprises attachments (35, 36) which are directed radially inwardly and on which the shaft (12) is supported when the hood (2) is removed.
2. An evaporator-type air humidifier as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that reinforcement ribs (24) are provided at the lower side (18) of the hood (2) and inside the flow duct (23).
3. An evaporator-type air humidifier as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the flow duct (23) is surrounded by the evaporation filter (5) whilst observing a minimum distance and in that the fluid distribution groove (6) arranged on the evaporation filter (5) is arranged essentially directly below the lower side (18) of the hood (2).
4. An evaporator-type air humidifier as claimed in one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the fan (21) is arranged at a level approximately halfway between the support plate (3) and the lower side (18) of the hood (2).
5. An evaporator-type air humidifier as claimed in one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the flow duct (23) extends from the lower side (18) of the hood (2) into a region below the fan (21).
