Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for dewatering sandy soil, such as tennis courts, sand tracks and.
- a Sauegelement which has a cylindrical, perforated roller, which is covered with an open-pore foam layer and supported on wheels on the floor, the foam layer, the specific weight of which is preferably 20-40 kg / m 3 , in the support area on the floor is compressed by a predetermined amount and which suction element is connected to a water separator and a pump via a suction line.
- Such a device is described for example in DE-OS 1 784 110. It consists of a roller, which is mounted on a chassis and can be rolled on the surface to be drained. The roller is connected to a jacket made of absorbent material, which sucks the liquid off the floor.
- the chassis carries a water tank which is connected on the one hand to a suction pump and on the other hand to a suction nozzle arranged directly on the metal roller. The water in the absorbent jacket of the roller is captured by the suction nozzle and transported into the water tank.
- the invention was accordingly based on the object of improving a device of the type mentioned at the outset so that rapid drainage is possible in sandy soils, ensuring that no sand is removed from the soil in the process.
- the inside of the roller shell is provided with axially extending driver blades, which in pairs each project approximately radially from the roller and diverge inward and scoop the water in the roller into a funnel connected to the suction line.
- This measure does not prevent sand or soil particles from entering the suction line by holding the sand particles to a filter layer, but rather allows the suction opening to be enlarged and thus the suction speed of the air or water to drop below that value, where the sand particles are carried away.
- the use of a filter layer, the filter opening of which is smaller than the particle sizes, would not be possible because such a filter layer would be installed very quickly.
- the water is neither directly sucked off nor squeezed out of the foam layer, but the foam layer absorbs water from the bottom until it is completely saturated and thus closes the chamber of the roller.
- the vacuum created in the chamber water is released into the chamber on the inside of the foam layer. This water is collected by the driver shovels and scooped into the drip pan and fed to the suction line.
- the suction line can be connected alternately to the bottom connections of two collecting tanks as a water separator via a first valve, the valve connecting the respective free bottom connection to a pump-off line, and that a second one coupled to the first valve Valve alternately connects another connection of the collection tanks with the supply air and exhaust air connection of the air pump.
- Fig. 1 shows the cross section of an embodiment of the suction element of the device and Fig. 2 is a diagram of the entire device.
- the suction element 1 consists of a cylindrical roller 6, the jacket of which is provided with through-openings 7 for the water and is covered with an open-pore, elastic foam layer 3.
- a squeeze roller 9 is arranged on the top of the roller and compresses the foam layer 3.
- a collecting trough 10 is provided below the pinch roller and communicates with a suction line 2 running coaxially with the roller 6.
- the inside of the jacket of the cylindrical roller 6 is provided with axially extending driver blades 11, which are arranged in pairs that diverge radially inwards.
- the roller 6 is also supported on the floor by way of impellers 8 arranged on both sides, so that the foam layer in the contact area on the floor is compressed by a predetermined amount.
- the Roller 6 can be used for drainage in any direction by means of the handle 12.
- the diameter of the roller is greater than approximately 300 mm.
- favorable values for the thickness of the foam layer are about 40 mm, while the pressure in the contact area on the floor should be about 15 mm.
- the specific weight of the foam is advantageously about 20-40 kg / m 3 .
- the squeeze roller 9 is not primarily used to squeeze water into the inside of the roller 6, but above all to exert such a slight squeezing effect that water runs freely over the outer jacket of the roller 6 or the foam layer 3 to continuously free them of any grains of sand that may adhere to them.
- FIG. 2 shows a diagram of the device according to the invention, in which the suction element 1 is connected via a suction line 2 to a pump device 14, which enables a continuous drainage of large floor areas.
- This pump device can be designed as a mobile, mobile device. However, it is also possible to arrange the pump device 14 in a stationary manner and to lay suction lines on the places to be drained, which could then be coupled to the suction elements 1.
- the pump device 14 has two collecting tanks 18 and 19 as water separators. Each of the collecting tanks is provided with its own connection 16 and 17 and can be switched alternately to the suction line 2 and to a pumping hose 20 via a multi-way valve 15. The collection tanks 18 and 19 can be connected alternately to the supply air and exhaust air connection of an air pump 24 via a second multi-way valve 21.
- the two valves 15 and 21 are actuated by a time control device 23. In operation, the time control device 23 controls the two valves 15 and 21 into the position shown for a predetermined time, so that the suction line 2 is connected to the bottom connection 16 of the water tank 18. On the other hand, this water tank 18 is connected to the suction connection of the air pump 24.
- the water contained in the air flowing through the suction line 2 is deposited in the collecting tank 18.
- the pressure connection of the air pump 24 is connected to the water tank 19, while the bottom connection 17 of this water tank is connected to the pumping line 20 via the valve 15.
- the time control device 23 switches over the two valves 15 and 21, so that the collecting tank 19 is now filled with water while the collecting tank 18 is emptied.
- the pump device 14 according to the invention can therefore find its end with relatively small water tanks.

Description
The invention relates to a device for dewatering sandy soil, such as tennis courts, sand tracks and. Like., With a Sauegelement, which has a cylindrical, perforated roller, which is covered with an open-pore foam layer and supported on wheels on the floor, the foam layer, the specific weight of which is preferably 20-40 kg / m 3 , in the support area on the floor is compressed by a predetermined amount and which suction element is connected to a water separator and a pump via a suction line.
Such a device is described for example in DE-OS 1 784 110. It consists of a roller, which is mounted on a chassis and can be rolled on the surface to be drained. The roller is connected to a jacket made of absorbent material, which sucks the liquid off the floor. The chassis carries a water tank which is connected on the one hand to a suction pump and on the other hand to a suction nozzle arranged directly on the metal roller. The water in the absorbent jacket of the roller is captured by the suction nozzle and transported into the water tank.
With such a device, however, it can happen that, for example in the case of sandy bottom surfaces, soil components are also taken up by the suction nozzle with the water and conveyed into the water tank. The suction nozzle may also become blocked.
For the drainage of sandy floor surfaces, it has also become known to use rollers covered with a sponge, the water absorbed by the foam being expressed into a tub by a squeeze roller arranged at the rear of the roller in relation to the direction of travel. Here too, however, it can be seen that the sand adhering to the surface of the foam roller and removed from the floor is also conveyed into the collecting trough. This is a serious disadvantage in particular because it is precisely on those surface areas of the floor where puddles of water remain due to depressions that more layers of sand are always removed during drainage.
The invention was accordingly based on the object of improving a device of the type mentioned at the outset so that rapid drainage is possible in sandy soils, ensuring that no sand is removed from the soil in the process.
According to the invention, it is provided for this that the inside of the roller shell is provided with axially extending driver blades, which in pairs each project approximately radially from the roller and diverge inward and scoop the water in the roller into a funnel connected to the suction line.
This measure does not prevent sand or soil particles from entering the suction line by holding the sand particles to a filter layer, but rather allows the suction opening to be enlarged and thus the suction speed of the air or water to drop below that value, where the sand particles are carried away. The use of a filter layer, the filter opening of which is smaller than the particle sizes, would not be possible because such a filter layer would be installed very quickly.
In the device according to the invention, the water is neither directly sucked off nor squeezed out of the foam layer, but the foam layer absorbs water from the bottom until it is completely saturated and thus closes the chamber of the roller. As a result of the vacuum created in the chamber, water is released into the chamber on the inside of the foam layer. This water is collected by the driver shovels and scooped into the drip pan and fed to the suction line.
In order to ensure continuous operation, it is advantageous if the suction line can be connected alternately to the bottom connections of two collecting tanks as a water separator via a first valve, the valve connecting the respective free bottom connection to a pump-off line, and that a second one coupled to the first valve Valve alternately connects another connection of the collection tanks with the supply air and exhaust air connection of the air pump.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows the cross section of an embodiment of the suction element of the device and Fig. 2 is a diagram of the entire device.
The
During operation, negative pressure prevails in the interior of the
Water penetrating into the interior already in the support area or somewhat later is conveyed by the driving
Das spezifische Gewicht des Schaumstoffes beträgt vorteilhaft etwa 20-40 kg/m3.In order to prevent the sand from being displaced by transport on the surface of the pubic rubber layer 3 during dewatering, it has proven to be advantageous if the diameter of the roller is greater than approximately 300 mm. Furthermore, favorable values for the thickness of the foam layer are about 40 mm, while the pressure in the contact area on the floor should be about 15 mm. The specific weight of the foam is advantageously about 20-40 kg / m 3 .
The
The
