Abstract

1. Description

The invention relates to a shelf, in particular for displaying shoes or the like, with horizontally and with shelves arranged inclined from the rear to the front, the inclined shelves respectively arranged above a horizontal shelf being mounted so as to be pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis arranged in the region of the rear of the shelf are.

The shelves previously used in shopfitting with horizontal or inclined shelves have considerable disadvantages. The customer's decision to buy is made more difficult by the confusing abundance of shoes offered in pairs and, in particular, when the shoes are difficult to see, i.e. highly structured sales outlets or supermarkets increase the risk of theft. The sometimes used way out of exhibiting only one pair of shoes is not feasible in the long run, because the sales staff has to spend a lot of time getting the second pair of shoes in stock.

It has therefore already been proposed to implement a shelf in the manner mentioned at the beginning. One pair of shoes can then be placed on the inclined shelf and the second shoe on the horizontal shelf underneath. Such a shelf is known from DE-OS 25 29 198. The invention has for its object to develop the shelf of the type mentioned in such a way that it no longer has the disadvantages mentioned and in particular can be easily adapted to the spatial conditions, for example, a shop. In addition, the sales shelf according to the invention should be able to be designed optically in an appealing manner.

According to the invention this is achieved in that the journals of the inclined shelves and the inclined position of the inclined shelves, in the area of the front of the shelf supports provided in both sides of the shelves side parts of the shelf are adjustable in height and that supports for the horizontal shelves in the Side parts of the shelf are also adjustable in height.

With the design of the shelf according to the invention, it is now also possible to adjust the inclination of the inclined shelves regardless of their distance from the horizontal shelves arranged below them. This allows, for example, inclined shelves located higher up on the shelf to be set steeper than those located below. In addition, the inventive design of the sales shelf allows the inclined shelves to be fixed once in a horizontal position if this is the case it is asked for. This can be the case, for example, when the impression of a particularly extensive range is to be created during a sale, for which purpose the shoes are usually displayed in pairs.

According to one embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the journals and the supports of the inclined shelves and the supports for the horizontal shelves are designed as pins and that two vertical rows of holes into which the pins can be inserted are provided in the side parts. This embodiment is characterized by particularly great simplicity, without the basic advantages of the shelf according to the invention being adversely affected thereby.

If a continuous adjustability is desired, then it can be provided within the scope of the invention that the journals and the supports for the inclined shelves as well as the supports for the horizontal shelves in vertically running, provided in the side parts, e.g. undercut grooves formed by rails can be clamped.

In order to prevent slipping of the shoes placed on the inclined shelves, it can be provided within the scope of the invention that retaining strips or brackets which can be fixed in various positions are provided on the inclined shelves. In this embodiment, the shoes placed on the inclined shelves lie with the front of their heel against the retaining bar or the bracket.

In a practical embodiment, the shelf according to the invention can be characterized in that, in particular, the inclined shelves in the rear end region have bearings for receiving bearing pins fastened to the side parts, the bearings being provided in side glues which are provided and are oriented perpendicularly to the level of the shelf, made of wood or plastic, for example. In this embodiment, not only is one special stable construction of the shelves, which is also visually appealing through the use of wood, but it also simplifies the attachment of the swivel bearings.

If, as provided in the context of the invention, the bearings each have an angled groove open to the side part with a section running parallel and a section perpendicular to the shelf, the vertical section being open towards the bottom, whereas the section running parallel to the shelf is at the rear is closed, then narrowing the inclined shelves on the shelf is particularly easy.

To secure the journal, resilient cams can be provided within the scope of the invention in the section of the groove running parallel to the shelf.

Particularly when the side banding is made of wood, it proves useful if, as provided in the context of the invention, the bearing body with the groove as a component that can be inserted into the side banding, e.g. made of plastic.

Furthermore, it can be provided within the scope of the invention that the horizontal shelves have slots on their side surfaces facing the side parts, into which slots attached to the side parts, e.g. engage in the grooves in this clamped carrier. In this embodiment, the horizontal shelves are particularly securely and visually appealing.

Another possibility of fastening the horizontal shelves 2 to the side parts 1 is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. The bearing body 24 has an angled groove 25 which has a section 26 perpendicular to the shelf 3 and a section 27 running parallel to the shelf 3.
