Description

The invention relates to a cutting device according to the preamble of claim 1.

From DE-OS 22 40 617 a sewing machine for the manufacture of piped pockets is known, the cutting device for the wrapping at the ends of the longitudinal slot for the pocket opening consists of two individual angle cutting knives which can be coupled to the material clamp and which are transported through the material clamp into their cutting positions and after Execution of the incisions are returned to their starting position.

This known cutting device for the wrapping cuts requires a relatively complex drive and coupling mechanism. There is a need for a cutting device with a simpler drive that can be installed in a less complex design of a pocket flap sewing system that works without a material clamp. Such a need is met by the invention.

The invention is based on the technical problem of creating a cutting device for the wrapping cuts which is equipped with a particularly simple drive. This object is achieved by the features which are set out in the characterizing part of claim 1; a sub-claim is directed to an advantageous embodiment of the invention.

  • Fig. 1 ist eine Ansicht der Schneidvorrichtung mit Blick auf die Kopfseite einer Zweinadelnähmaschine;
  • Fig. 2 ist eine Draufsicht auf die Schneidvorrichtung und die Stichplatte der Zweinadelnähmaschine;
In the accompanying drawings, an embodiment of the cutting device according to the invention for the wrapping cuts is shown, which is explained in more detail below.
  • Fig. 1 is a view of the cutting device with a view of the head of a two-needle sewing machine;
  • Fig. 2 is a plan view of the cutting device and the throat plate of the two-needle sewing machine;
  • 3 shows sections of the fastening seams for the piping strip and the pocket flap on the main fabric, sections of the longitudinal section L of the piping opening and the wrapping cuts E1 and E2.

For better clarity, the drawings are limited to the most necessary parts of the sewing machine in which the cutting device according to the invention is installed.

Reference number 1 denotes a two-needle sewing machine of conventional construction, the up and down moving needle bar 2 of which has a needle holder with two needles, of which only one needle 3 (FIG. 1) is visible. Fig. 2 shows the stitch plate 4 with the stitch holes 5 and 5 for the two needles mentioned, which sew the two seams for the production of a piped pocket opening in a known manner with double lockstitch looper arranged below the stitch plate 4. A separating knife 6 of known design moves between the two needles to produce the longitudinal slot L for the pocket opening. The stitch plate 4 is fastened in a recess in the base plate 7 of the sewing machine 1, which in turn is embedded in a conventional sewing table plate 12. The throat plate 4 has two openings for the passage of the teeth of a conventional double-row hopping conveyor 8 and the base plate 7 is provided with an opening 9 for the passage of the angle cutting blades 10 and 11 of the cutting device, which is shown in Fig. 1 in its initial position. The angle cutting blades 10 and 11 consist of four dagger-like cutting blades, which together are only visible in FIG. 2 and are arranged around a guide mandrel 13, which is described in more detail below. The pair of cutting blades positioned at 45 ° to each other form the two angle cutting blades 10 and 11, which are moved together by a single-acting pneumatic cylinder 14 from the starting position shown in FIG. 1 to the higher cutting position, passing through the opening 9 in the base plate 7 and make the incisions E1 and E2 one after the other.

For this purpose, the angle cutting knives 10 and 11 are vertically displaceably mounted so that they can be moved by the extending piston rod 14 'of the compressed air cylinder 14. The four cutting blades of the angle cutting blades 10 and 11 are fixed in a known manner by means of the clamping screws 15 and 15 'and correspondingly shaped clamping pieces on the cutter head 16, which is firmly connected to the piston rod 14' of the compressed air cylinder 14. The piston rod 14 'is passed through the stationary guide plate 17 which is attached to a fixed part of the sewing machine 1. The guide plate 17 is connected to a holder 19 for the compressed air cylinder 14 via a support rod 18, which is attached parallel to the piston rod 14 ′ and is directed downward. Along the rod 18, a clamping piece 20 is guided, which is clamped at one end to the piston rod 14 'and takes part in its up and down movements; at the other end, the clamping piece 20 includes the support rod 18, which ends in a fork-shaped manner. Receiving holes in the clamping piece 20 and a holding plate 21 at the lower end of the compressed air cylinder 14 hang the ends of a return spring 22 which pulls the extended piston rod 14 'back into the starting position (FIG. 1), as soon as the compressed air cylinder 14 is no longer subjected to compressed air. The compressed air cylinder 14 can be supplied with compressed air via the compressed air connection 2 3, which comes from a compressed air source, not shown: After the piping strip, which has been prepared in a known manner for sewing, has been positioned - together with or without a pocket flap cut - on the main fabric to be provided with a pocket, the sewing of the seams N1 and N2 (FIG. 3, top) can be started, with the separating knife 6 is switched on for the longitudinal section L of the pocket opening at a predetermined point. If the sewing material transported in the direction of the arrow NV has come into the area of the cutting device, the first gusset cut E1 can be made at a predetermined point using the angle cutting knife 10. Such gusset cuts or angular cuts are known to connect the longitudinal slot L of the pocket opening with the seam ends; Wrapping cut E1 establishes the connection between L and the two front ends of the seam sections N1 and N2 in the material feed direction NV (FIG. 3, top). Of course, the respective ends of the seams are secured by known seam locks, not shown. The guide mandrel 13 prevents an unwanted cutting of the angle cutting knife 10 into the flap and / or main material during the cutting process by repulsively pushing it aside. The guide mandrel 13 further prevents, by means of its rejection function, also undesired cutting of the simultaneously extended, but now not required, angle cutting knife 11, by pushing aside the material which is on the side of the cutting device in the area of action of the angle cutting knife 11.

In Fig. 3, the angle cutting knife not required for the respective wound cut is indicated by dash-dotted lines. Thus, in FIG. 3 the knife 11 at the wrapping cut E1 and in FIG. 3 below the knife 10 at the wrapping cut E2 is shown as not required. After the further transport of the sewing material has been carried out, the second incision is made at a predetermined point by the angle cutting knife 11, an undesired incision of the knife 10 by the guide mandrel 13 on the side of the cutting device now facing away from the needles being prevented in the same manner as previously described becomes. In the cutting area, fabric retainers, not shown, are provided.

The chronological sequence of the individual sewing and cutting work steps required to produce a piped pocket opening is effected with the known means of control technology. The cutting device according to the invention, which is driven in a particularly simple manner, for the gusset cuts has the advantage of being adaptable to many variations of the workflow.
