Abstract
Description
The attachment of baseboards to a wall using nails or screws requires a baseboard processing after assembly, such as. B. painting, and is therefore not suitable for baseboards, for example made of wood with a factory-painted or plastic-coated visible surface. For example, for baseboards, which have a longitudinal cavity on their wall side, in order to be able to cover plastered electrical lines or heating pipes with the baseboard, invisible fastenings are also known, but they are no longer up to the high demands of the interior of building rooms. In the case of plastic baseboards, which are attached to a wall in the horizontal direction and are attached with push-buttons to correspondingly designed and adapted nail heads, it has been shown in practice that when the baseboard is removed from the fastening nails, for example when renovating walls There is a risk that the fastening nails will be pulled out of the wall or that the retaining lugs of the plastic baseboard wear out and the push-button-like connection no longer satisfactorily holds the baseboard in place. Another known type of baseboard with a cavity on the baseboard wall side is plugged with a kind of tongue and groove connection in the vertical direction on pieces of wood strips that are attached to the wall with nails or screws. These Pieces of wooden strips must have a sufficient height so that they do not splice when they are nailed or screwed on, and therefore do not leave much space left in the cavity to be able to accommodate plastered cables behind the baseboard. Furthermore, the wooden strip pieces must also be wide in the longitudinal direction of the baseboard in order to achieve sufficient strength on the wall, and due to the required width of the wooden strip pieces, it is very difficult to compensate for unevenness in the wall such that there are no more gaps between the attached baseboard and the wall . Furthermore, it is very difficult to attach the baseboard to all pieces of wooden slats if the individual tongue and groove connections are not exactly aligned or there is insufficient play in the tongue and groove connections perpendicular to the wall, which in turn leads to undesirable joints between the baseboard and the wall can lead.
The invention has set itself the task of eliminating the disadvantages of the known invisible baseboard fasteners and creating a baseboard that can be attached to a wall with an associated, adapted holder, which can be reliably attached to a wall with little time and effort and at any time again can be removed without affecting the wall fastening and which also bears against the wall without gaping joints in the event of unevenness or corrugations in the wall. This object is achieved primarily in that the baseboard has an open to its wall and floor side, in the longitudinal direction of the baseboard extending recess, which continues upwards in a groove-like recess to form a downward rib on the wall side of the baseboard , and that the holder consists of a dowel arranged below the rib perpendicular to the wall side of the baseboard, the end protruding beyond the wall side can be fastened in a wall hole and the end lying in the recess is an angled-up holding part engaging behind the rib and one after has angled stop part below, which is set back relative to the holding part by the thickness of the rib towards the wall side of the baseboard and has an extension which extends in the longitudinal direction of the dowel and which touches the bottom of the recess on the back of the baseboard.
The invention and further design features are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows the baseboard and an associated holder in vertical cross section.
The baseboard 1 , the z. B. consists of wood or wood-based material and has a finished veneered or plastic-coated visible surface, is provided with a rear recess 2, which is open to the wall side 3 and
The molding and holder design according to the invention is not limited in its application to baseboards which are arranged in the corner between a wall and a floor, it is equally advantageous, for example, for strips which carry shelf rims firmly connected to them to attach a distance from the floor to a wall or to attach strips, which serve as end strips of ceiling paneling or the like, in mirror image in the corner between a wall and a ceiling.
