Description

The invention relates to a device for separating folded waste copies in web-fed rotary printing presses on a delivery of a folder, in which the folded printed copies are conveyed in scales on a conveyor belt, with a stepped pair of rollers for the fan-shaped deflection of the copy stream, with a separating roller in the separating out the waste copies is pivoted in, which redirects the copy flow.

To the z. B. when changing rolls in the area of gluing waste copies, an embodiment is known (DE-PS 25 13 774) in which the copy flow is deflected by a separating roller. The redirected waste copies are gripped by a drum wrapped in tapes and transported at the higher conveying speed of the drum. This acceleration of the individual copies is necessary in order to achieve a separation of the copy flow and to return it to the delivery in the intended transport direction after the intended waste copies have been removed.

A disadvantage of the known embodiment is that the normal scale-like copy flow is disturbed by the acceleration of the paper copies, because each paper copy to be accelerated is completely pulled out from the subsequent scale-shaped copies, whereby these are moved on the conveyor belt. This can lead to malfunctions in the subsequent further processing of the specimen stream.

The object of the invention is to provide a device for rejecting waste copies, which is simple in its construction and enables rejection without disturbing the scale-like copy flow, the waste copies to be eliminated not should be accelerated.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that a deflection roller is provided approximately horizontally in front of the pair of rollers in the transport direction of the printed copies, which deflects the conveyor belt with the copy downwards, so that the fanning out between the deflection roller and the first roller of the pair of rollers takes place and that the deflecting roller drives an additional short ribbon line which can be pivoted about the deflecting roller, in such a way that it guides the printed copies to the display in the working position and in the pivoted-back position passes the waste copies onto a deposit belt line, the pivoting tensioning roller belonging to the ribbon line being transferred via a coupling rod is coupled to a further pivot lever which carries at its outer end the separating roller which pivots between the fanned-out copies when the strip line is pivoted back and the subsequent waste copies are scaled via the pivoted-back strip line of the depositing band line feeds. In addition to the simple structure, the described solution ensures that the copies are safely discarded, even with a small number of pages, without accelerating the discarded waste copies, so that the printed copies are prevented from being shifted on the tapes and the copy stream is not disturbed.

In order to adjust the device to the particular nature of the specimens, the first roller of the pair of rollers is supported by levers on the axis of the deflection roller and can be pivoted about the latter. This allows the fanning out of the specimens to be optimally adjusted.

  • Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht der Vorrichtung beim Aussondern von Makulaturexemplaren,
  • Fig. 3 ein vergrößerter Ausschnitt aus Figur 1,

An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawings. It shows:
  • 1 is a side view of the device with copy flow for display,
  • 2 shows a side view of the device when rejecting waste copies,
  • 3 shows an enlarged detail from FIG. 1,
  • FIG. 4 the swiveling back of the ribbon cable and the swiveling in of the separating roller,
  • Fig. 5 the transport of the waste copies on the deposit line.

From the paddle wheel 1, the folded printed copies 2 are deposited in a scale-like manner on a conveyor belt 3 and fed from there via the conveyor belt 4 to the delivery 5. The conveyor belt 4 wraps around the first roller 6 of a pair of rollers, while the second roller 7 of the pair of rollers carries the belt line 8 of the delivery. When the machine is in normal production, the printed copies move in scales on the conveyor belts and are either removed manually at the end of the delivery or sent to further processing stations.

In the transport direction of the printed copies 2 in front of the pair of rollers 6, 7 approximately horizontally to the latter, a deflection roller 9 is provided, which deflects the conveyor belt 4 with the copy flow downward, so that the printing copies 2 are fanned out between the deflection roller 9 and the first roller 6. The deflection roller 9 drives a short belt line 10 at the speed of the conveyor belt 4, which is guided over a tensioning roller 11 which can be pivoted about the deflection roller 9. In the working position of the ribbon line 10, the printed copies 2 are deflected such that they are fed to the delivery 5 in an undisturbed, scale-like stream (FIG. 1).

Via a pneumatic cylinder 12 or the like. The tape line 10 can be pivoted back with the tensioning roller 11 via a lever 13, so that the waste copies are directed onto a deposit tape line 14. The tensioning roller 11 is coupled via a coupling rod 15 to a further pivot lever 16 which carries the separating roller 17 at its outer end. When the ribbon cable 10 is pivoted back, the separating roller 17 is pivoted in between the fanned-out printed copies 2 via the coupling rod 15 and the pivoting lever 16, as a result of which the copy stream is separated. The scaly-shaped printed copies now move in a steady flow, due to the reverse favorable chaining of the scale, via the pivoted-back ribbon line 10 to the deposit ribbon line 14, from where they are removed by an operator (FIG. 2). Instead of waste copies, a certain number of sample copies can also be taken during the production of the machine.

In Figure 3, the ribbon line 10 is in the normal working position, in which the folded printed copies 2 are fed to the delivery 5. FIG. 4 shows the moment of the swiveling back of the ribbon line 10, the separating roller pivoting in between two successive copies in the fanning out of the printed copies and moving the subsequent one onto the ribbon line 10 so that it is fed to the deposit ribbon line via the latter. This subsequent print copy is already a paper copy 18. In order to adjust the fanning out to the nature of the print copies to be processed in each case, the roller 6 can be pivoted about the deflecting roller 9 via the lever 19.

Die Schwenkbewegung der Bandleitung 10 kann hierbei manuell oder automatisch gesteuert werden, wobei die automatische Steuerung in Abhängigkeit zu den schuppenförmig geförderten Druckexemplaren erfolgen kann.FIG. 5 shows how the waste copies 18 are directed onto the depositing tape line 14 in reverse, scale-like concatenation, which is self-supporting at all points, and thus out are separated from the stream of scales. After the intended number of waste copies has been separated out, the ribbon line 10 is again pivoted into the working position shown in FIG. 3, so that the copy flow separates from the waste copies and the subsequent printed copies are returned to the delivery 5. The swiveling movement of the ribbon line 10 can be controlled manually or automatically, the automatic control depending on the scale-like printed copies.
