Ersatzrolle 3a herausragenden Enden der Rollenachse 3b angreifen, kann die Ersatzrolle 3a auf einfache Weise in die oberen Lagerböcke 2 bewegt werden. Claims (8)

1. Method of feeding strip-like, spool-wound, raw material to a spiral tube winding machine, on which the previously-glued individual strip (4) is would helically on a former (17) and is shaped to form a tube (18) characterized in that a strip (4) is fed from each spool- (3) by a separately controllable withdrawal arrangement (10, 11, 12, 13) substantially without tension to a brake device (16), by means of which there is provided in the strip (4) a predetermined constant tension by a roller belt drive.
2. Apparatus for carrying out the method according to claim 1, with spools (3) of strip-like raw material rotatably mounted in at least one framework (1), which feeds the spiral tube winding machine with the former (17) and winds it to form a helical tube (18), characterized in that, each spool (3) is provided with an individual withdrawal arrangement (10, 11, 12, 13) and that upstream of the application position of each strip (4) to the former (17) there is provided respectively an adjustable braking device (16).
3. Apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that, the withdrawal arrangement is formed by an endless belt (10), which is guided over a driven and a freely- rotatable pulley (10a, 10b) and is urged by means of a pivotal arrangement (14) against the strip (4) passing over a guide roller (5b).

Apparatus according to claim 3, characterized in that, the pivotal arrangement is formed by a pressure medium cylinder (14), which is actuable by a photo-electric device (15) in dependence upon the loop formation of the strip (4) between the guide roll (5b) and a further guide means (guide roller 9).
5. Arrangement according to claims 3 and 4, characterized in that, the driven pulley (10a) of the endless belt (10) is driven by a fixed motor (13), the speed of which is controllable in dependence upon the speed of the main drive shaft of the spiral tube winding machine.
6. Apparatus according to claim 3 to 5, characterized in, that both of the pulleys (10a, 10b) carrying the endless belt (10) are mounted on a pivotal frame (11), which is pivotally mounted by the pressure medium cylinder (14) about the rotational axis of one of the two pulleys (10a, 10b).
7. Apparatus according to claim 3, characterized in, that the guide roller (5b) is arranged as the last roller of a multiple supply loop (4a) forming a paying-out assembly.
8. Apparatus according to at least one of claims 2 to 7, characterized in, that the braking device (16) is formed by two sheet metal guides (16b, 16c) urged towards one another with an adjustable pressure.
