Definitions

  • the invention relates to a latching arrangement for electrical circuit breakers with a pawl and a locking flap cooperating therewith, which are rotatably or pivotably mounted by means of two bearing pins of rectangular cross-section lying on a common axis in bearing openings of stationary parts, each one of the narrow ones Surfaces of the bearing pin can be acted upon by the force to be latched and this narrow surface of each bearing pin faces a convex curved surface of the associated bearing opening and the two long surfaces of each bearing pin with play each have an equally convex surface of the bearing opening.
  • a latching arrangement of this type is present in the case of obviously previously used type Tp 10 motor protection switches from CMC Carl Maier j-Cie AG, Schaffhausen / Switzerland.
  • the invention has for its object to improve the properties of the known latching arrangement in such a way that a slight play is also achieved in the direction of the long surfaces of the rectangular cross-section of the bearing journal, because stress also occurs in this direction when the latching arrangement is reset. Furthermore, a slight play should be maintained even with a relatively large pivoting angle of the bearing journal.
  • this object is achieved in that the further narrow surface of each bearing journal is opposed by a concavely curved surface of the bearing opening.
  • the fact that in this arrangement the edges of the one narrow side of the bearing journal lie against the concave surface is of less importance for the durability of the arrangement, because the restoring forces acting in the direction of the concave surface are substantially less than those in the opposite direction from forces exerted by the pawl on the locking tab, which originate from the opening springs.
  • the counter surface of the bearing opening opposite the further narrow surface of each bearing journal can also be formed from two partial surfaces connected at an angle to one another and by a transition arch. In this way, a low-play storage of the locking tab can be achieved even with a relatively large swivel angle.
  • Figure 1 shows an electrical circuit breaker schematically in section.
  • FIG. 2 shows a bearing part for a locking tab that is to be fixed in the housing of the circuit breaker.
  • Figures 3 and 4 show an enlarged view of two differently designed bearing openings.
  • a locking tab is shown separately in FIG. 5; the front view of a bearing journal is shown in FIG. 6.
  • FIG. 7 is an enlarged illustration of a bearing opening with a bearing pin engaging in it in different switching positions.
  • the circuit breaker 1 shown in FIG. 1 has an insulating housing 2 made of a molded material, which is divided along a joint 3 into an upper part 4 and a lower part 5.
  • the current path of the circuit breaker 1 extends from a connection device 6 via a fixed contact piece 7 and a movable contact piece 10 and via a flexible conduction band 11 to a further connection device 12.
  • the fixed contact piece 7 and the movable contact piece 10 are in a quenching chamber 13 in a known manner arranged.
  • the connection of the bimetallic strip 15 and the magnet armature 16 to the trigger shaft 14 is not shown separately.
  • the trigger shaft 14 is connected to a locking tab 17, the projection 20 of which serves as an abutment for a pawl 21 of the switch lock of the circuit breaker 1.
  • the circuit breaker 1 has an operating handle 22 which projects through an opening in the upper part 4 of the housing 2.
  • the actuating handle 22 is connected to a drive lever 23 which actuates a toggle lever system 24 which engages the connecting joint 25 of the movable contact piece 10 with a contact piece carrier 26.
  • a switching shaft 27 transmits the movement of the contact piece carrier 26 to adjacent pole paths of the circuit breaker 1, not shown. From the switch-on position shown, the movable switch piece 10 can be moved into the switch-off position by moving the actuating handle 22 in the direction of arrow 28. The pawl 21 and the locking tab 17 remain in the position shown.
  • the locking tab 17 is pivoted clockwise and the pawl 21 is released.
  • the support 30 of the toggle lever system 24 is thereby canceled so that the contact piece carrier 25 and thus the movable contact piece 10 are also in the Be turned clockwise to the off position.
  • the actuating handle 22 assumes an intermediate position between the switch-on position shown and the switch-off position not shown, as a result of which it can be seen that the switch has been triggered (TRIP position).
  • FIG. 2 shows an example of a bearing part used to support the locking tab 17.
  • the bearing part 31 is a stamped part made of sheet metal, which is provided with a multiplicity of bearing openings and surfaces, as are required for storing the various movable parts of the thermal and magnetic releases.
  • the bearing part 31 is in a suitable manner with the lower part 5 of the housing 2 z. B. connected by screws.
  • An identical bearing part is also fastened in the lower part 5 in a parallel position, as a result of which two spaced-apart aligned bearing points are created for the parts to be stored.
  • a bearing opening for the locking tab 17 is designated 32.
  • a bearing surface 33 located above is provided for the trigger shaft 14.
  • the enlarged illustration of the bearing opening 32 in FIG. 3 shows that in the case of a generally elongated shape, two longer surfaces 34 and 35 provided with convex curvatures face each other and that one of the narrower surfaces 36 is also convexly curved.
  • the surface 37 opposite the surface 36 is concavely curved.
  • the convex curvature of the longer surfaces 34 and 35 is not uniformly distributed over the entire length, but such non-uniform that the narrowest point of the bearing opening at about 2/3 of the height of the bearing opening is the 32nd The transition between all the areas mentioned is rounded.
  • a bearing opening 40 there are again convexly shaped longer surfaces 41 and 42 and also a convexly curved, narrower surface 43.
  • the surface 44 opposite this is divided into two approximately straight partial surfaces 45 and 46, which are connected by a transition surface 47.
  • the partial surfaces 45 and 46 are at an acute angle to one another.
  • the position of the most curved areas 48 and 49 of the long surfaces 41 and 42 is also different from the example according to FIG. 3.
  • the bearing pins of the locking tab 17, as can be seen in FIG. 5, have a rectangular cross section.
  • the two journals 50 lie on an axis which represents the axis of rotation or pivoting of the locking tab.
  • FIG. 7 shows an enlarged view of a bearing opening corresponding to the bearing opening 40 (FIG. 4) and a bearing journal 50 engaging in the bearing opening, the individual surfaces of which are designated in FIG. 6.
  • the bearing 50 takes up the position shown in the open position of the circuit breaker 1.
  • the bearing journal lies with its upper narrow surface 51 on the convexly curved surface 43 and with its right long surface 53 on the right convexly curved surface 41 on.
  • a slight sliding movement occurs between the bearing journal and the surface 43.
  • the left long surface 54 lies against the convex surface 42.
  • the dash-dotted position of the bearing pin results when the operating handle 22 is reset to prepare for reclosure (RESET position).
  • the lower narrow surface 52 passes from the partial surface 45 to the partial surface 46, which is associated with sliding. The forces acting in the direction of these surfaces do not change the properties in the ON position.
  • the left long surface 54 of the journal 50 bears against the left convex surface 42 in the RESET position.
