Abstract
Moodultunneli liikuvalt platvormilt vette süvistatamise meetodi eripäraks on see, et tunneli rajamiseks vajalikud silindrikujulised raudbetoonmoodulid koostatakse tehases valmistatud sektorelementidest otse liikuval montaažiplatvormil, kus need ka kinnitatakse juba vettelastud tunneli veepealse otsa külge ja süvistatakse vette nii, et tunnel jääb terves ulatuses seest kuivaks. See on võimalik seetõttu, et moodulid ühendatakse omavahel keermestatud tömmitsatega ja tihendatakse elastsete, seest survestatavate rõngastihenditega. Võrreldes senituntud lahendustega võimaldab see märgatavalt kiirendada ja odavdada veealuste tunnelite rajamist.
