Abstract

The invention is provided for purifying shale oil heavy fraction having been contaminated with solid impurities in the process of wet purifying of the gas-vapour mixture obtained in the pyrolysis process of oil shale. For this, the composition to be purified is prepared from contaminated shale oil heavy fraction, petrol and phenol-water, which in case of necessity is additionally treated with flocculant. Subsequently, the mixture is separated in the centrifugal decanter to water fraction, solid fraction and organic fraction. The water fraction is sent back to the process of preparing the composition for purification, the solid fraction is sent for pyrolysis and the organic fraction is separated to the petrol and pure shale oil heavy fraction in a distillation device.
